''We found the property to be exactly how it was described and how it appeared on the website. The villa itself is very well equipped and there was nothing we can complain about. For us, the location was perfect. It is close enough to the beach and restaurants of Coral Bay and Paphos centre, but far enough to enjoy the quietness. Highly recommend Melitzia Tavern in Tala Village. We ordered 4 of the Traditional Mezze and were not disappointed. Go hungry! I would also highly recommend Latchi Watersports. We hired a boat twice and found them to be incredibly professional. Instructions are clear and the boats were all in a great condition. Most of the staff are very friendly, well trained and I thought they were great value for money. No complaints at all, everything was prefect. Information was accurate, communication was spot on and some of the tips and advice was very useful. We received a note on arrival introducing themselves. I send a text one day to Colin and he responded immediately. Other than that there was no need to communicate with them.''

''We have had a very enjoyable holiday thank you. The villa itself completely met our expectations and was exactly what we expected and more. Very well appointed, clean and beautifully co-ordinated throughout.

It was in a great position with distant sea views and in peaceful surroundings. It is necessary to have a car in order to visit local places as well as any more long distant destinations.

Tala itself is a small and pretty little village with an excellent restaurant called Melitzia. The owners are very friendly and the view is far reaching. The Adonis Baths are worth a visit for a dip and entry was 25 euros for three of us. There is an amphitheatre nearby too which we did not visit. The Tomb of the kings was 2.50 euros each and a very interesting place to visit. At the waterfront in Paphos we ate at the Gourmet tavern at the corner of Posidonos Avenue. The owner has been there since the 40`s (albeit in a very different set up to now). The food was excellent but slightly more expensive than your average.

A visit to Latchi and the Watersports centre we would strongly recommend. We hired a motorboat for the day

(on your suggestion) and had a wonderful time up and down the coastline for 7 hours visiting many other coves, especially Blue Lagoon. Snorkelling was great fun. Blue Lagoon can get busy with boats carrying large numbers of tourists so it is great to be able to anchor up anywhere else until they have gone. Just outside Latchi is the Pavlaras Prengos Tavern in Kalithea. Amazing views again and lovely food. Particularly the squid.

Our favourite restaurant was Duomos Italian and we ate there two nights running. An extensive menu, excellent food and service but really necessary to book. Visited a small rocky bay in front of the St Georges Hotel with a beach bar which was lovely. I know that when on holiday people do not expect to go to charity shops but for anyone interested, there are 5 or 6 such shops in Chlorakas.

Your service has been excellent and we have been impressed by that. Cypriot people are so lovely and we enjoyed every moment but the chances are we will be looking at a different destination for the foreseeable future. We prefer the freedom and peace of our own villa so this is what we are likely to again. ''

Villa Apollonia - 3 Bedroom Modern And Well Equipped Villa With Amazing Sea Views
average rating of 5.0 based on 6 reviews

Luxury, well appointed, quiet, beautiful pool.

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have been happier. Letsrentonline couldnt have been more helpful from the start. This is a special Villa with attention to detail, co-ordinated decor, great position though you do need a car, with a view of the sea and quiet. My only niggle was the firmness of the bed but I changed to a slightly softer single and was fine thereafter. The people of Cyprus are warm, welcoming kind and genuine. The food was excellent and the overall experience from car hire, day boat hire at Latchi and visits to Tomb of the Kings and Adonis Waterfalls etc etc was just perfect. Thank you.

From Villa Apollonia it's just a ten-fifteen minute* stroll into Tala village where you'll find a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars. Picturesque Tala Square is just 1.5km away and is popular for lunches, relaxing with a drink and evening meals on the verandas of the good quality restaurants, many with stunning views over Paphos and to the Sea.

Sometimes referred to the 'Beverley Hills' of Cyprus, Tala is a popular and growing village north of Paphos, set on a west facing hillside looking out over the blue Mediterranean Sea. Immediately north of the village is the famous Agios Neofytos monastery dating from 1159 (well worth a visit). In the fields around Tala you'll find vineyards, orange, lemon, olive and almond trees and banana plantations.

You can drive to Villa Apollonia from Paphos Airport in about thirty minutes (An easy drive of 2 hours from Larnaca). From the villa it's a short drive into Paphos for some of the best shopping you'll find anywhere in Cyprus.

It's also an easy drive to the centre of Peyia, a vibrant community stretching from the bright lights of Coral Bay to the traditional centre of the old village.

There is a good choice of beaches within an easy drive. Try Coral Bay - a great beach with every amenity and water sports you could imagine including diving. Alternatively drive up the coast road into the Akamas Region to enjoy the deserted beaches of Lara and beyond. You can easily follow the B7 to Polis and Latchi to find more watersports, lovely beaches and marina restaurants where you can sample the freshest catches of the day.

From Tala the attractions in Paphos and renowned Paphos Aphrodite Water Park are easily accessible, as are numerous archaeological ruins in Paphos such as the Tombs of the Kings. The Mosaics and Paphos Archaeological Park.

There's a golf course at Tsada (now known as Minthis Hills) approximately 20 minute's drive away. The new Elea Estate Golf Club designed by Sir Nick Faldo is also only 20 minutes away with Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills golf courses reachable in 30 minutes or less also.

The local mini-market and Cava (great wine selection) is open 6am until 1am May-October and 6am until midnight in other periods
