Three bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage, with garden and outdoor BBQ area.

Rose Cottage has been lovingly renovated, it is a traditional Lake District property with a modern, quirky interior. Rose Cottage has x 3 double bedrooms and a basement snug with sofa bed which can be made up as fourth bedroom. The master bedroom has a large ensuite with wet room shower and free standing bath. The top two bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom with wet room shower, there is an additional GF WC.

The modern open plan kitchen / dining space is equipped with x 2 Neff ovens, X 1 Neff Micro Combi oven and an integrated Neff coffee machine. The dining area has a cosy seating area with flat screen TV and chaise. The lounge has an open fire and flat screen wall mounted TV, Wifi is free with the cottage.

It is situated on a private lane backing onto a woodland making it a very peaceful spot. It is only a short walk from Windermere towns bustling high street with its many cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries. Bowness and the lake itself are a 5 min drive from the property. Bowness offers plenty to do with a cinema, tennis courts, mini golf course and of course boats to hire on the lake. You can also catch one of the ferries from the main jetty where you can hop on and off to explore the surrounding area, the views are spectacular from the lake itself!

The popular town of Ambleside is a 10 minute drive along the lake Rd (or a 10 min sail on a ferry).

Excellent cottage and first class fixtures and fittings

Rose Cottage is perfectly placed within walking distance of Windermere but in a quiet lane away from traffic. It has been well maintained and all the fixtures and fittings are of a very high standard.

It can sleep 6 in comfort with additional sofa bed in basement snug.

We have no hesitation in recommending the cottage and it was a joy to stay there

Would recommend Hooked Fish restaurant in Windermere but you have to book in advance.

If out traveling go to the Punch Bowl at Crosthwaite for lunch or evening meal but slightly pricey.

Perfect Stay in Windermere

Rose Cottage was an ideal location in the Lakes District. The Cottage could not have been any more perfect - lots of room, comfortable, well maintained, and beautifully decorated. Both couples had privacy but also shared space. The kitchen was well equipped and well designed for having dinner "at home". The coffee machine was a pleasant surprise. With proximity to the center of Windermere, walking paths to the lake, and a nearby bus stop, we were able to explore much of the area. Our stay in Windermere was excellent.

Beautiful! Will definitely be booking again and will be recommending to family and friends!

The cottage was beautiful and plenty of room for 7 adults and 1 child. Everything in the property was catered for so we didn't have to bring any extra bits with us. The area it's situated in is very quiet so perfect for relaxing and 5 mins from the main village of Windermere. The cottage was immaculate and eveything we had hoped for! We'll be booking up again very soon!

Fabulous cottage, Totally luxurious

Its rare to find such a gem that not only lives up to its description, but far exceeds it. We have just returned from a four day stay at Rose Cottage and I must say we were so sad to leave. It is not only beautifully decorated, it is clean, welcoming and has such a high quality finish we could not fault anything. It totally lived up to its description. Although there were only two of us staying in a three bedroomed cottage, the intimacy was still superb. Its location is secluded and quiet despite being less than a 10 minute walk from the town of Windermere.

The renovation throughout has been very well thought out, it caters for either two or at least 8. The bathrooms are beautiful, the kitchen is stunning and the lounge is a cosy retreat after a long days walk. The photos of the bedrooms just do not do justice to what you find when you are at the property, they are simply beautiful, so comfortable and totally indulgent.

Absolutely everything was provided for arrival and I cannot fault the ease of contact with Helen.

The local amenities are as you would expect, but we were surprised to find that we enjoyed being in the cottage so much, we lost half a day just relaxing...it was that good.

In all I cannot recommend this property highly enough, we arealready lookuing to book again but need to be quick, it is proving to be a popular cottage....and with good reason !

Overall.....a superbly luxurious property.

Luxury weekend away!

Wow!! I booked this cottage for my dad's 50th Birthday and it's safe to say it's a birthday we'll all remember! This cottage is perfect and resonably priced too! I have to admit upon booking a visit to Rose Cottage, I was nervous it wouldn't live up to expectations, especially furnishings; I was not dissappointed. The cottage is exactly as featured , and very spacious. Helen, the owner, was absolutely wonderful, she answered all questions quickly and professionally and was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a perfect break away. I can't stress how pleased I was with our visit. 10/10 & I shall be returning. I highly reccommend Rose Cottage!!

Fantastic mini break celebration

I booked Rose Cottage to celebrate our dads 60th birthday and it didn't disappoint. The cottage is in a lovely location for getting to the town and also for local walks. It is maintained to a very high standard and is modern and clean. We ate out but could have easily stayed in to dine as the kitchen diner area is very nicely decorated, had everything we needed and the open plan makes it very sociable for groups. The owner is easily contactable and replied quickly to any questions I had before our arrival. Booking was stress free. I would definitely stay here again if we return to Windermere.

Rose Cottage is situated a 5 min walk to Windermere village where there is a variety of cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries. Windermere is the perfect base to explore the rest of the National park. The lake is a short 15 min walk away where you can catch a ferry to Ambleside and enjoy the breathtaking views from the water.
