clean, large house on a fishing lake
We rented this house for five nights for a set of kids (6,5, and 2), parents, and grandparents to stay together, and we had a very nice stay. The house was clean and well-maintained, with 4 twins in two rooms and a queen bed in the master suite, plus a pull-out couch we didn't use. We enjoyed the charcoal grill and the spacious back deck, and we took the paddleboat out for a spin after borrowing life jackets for the kids from friends. The quiet neighborhood livened up a bit on the weekend but was not obstrusive at all. Although the lake the house sits on is not ideal for swimming, it is steps away from another lake (Big Fish Lake) that has public access and is better suited for swimming. There is no wifi (which we knew), and we experienced problems with the hot water heater, although the owner was responsive and friendly trying to diagnose and repair the hot water problems. I would absolutely stay here again.
We had a great time!
Great house on really nice fishing lake. Comfortable and relaxing.
Beautiful home and peaceful surroundings.
The house is beautiful and spacious. Jerry was quick to respond to my questions and was helpful in returning an item we left behind. There were some minor inconveniences but nothing that ruined our time at this wonderful home.
Not a nice stay, paid for two nights but my family made us leave after one
1) Had to kill about 100 flies after we arrived. Had to clean all the surfaces where we swatted them.
2) Bed sheets were wrinkled and stained, had to wash them.
3) A paddle boat and volleyball net were promised but were not there.
4) Algae and weeds all along the shore, really not swimmable.
5) Cigarette butt found under the bunk beds.
