With the sound of the spring feed, fresh water Glenwood Pond cascading over the dam, this tranquil and scenic location makes an idyllic location for the ultimate island get-away. Located only minutes away from the iconic West Point Lighthouse, red sand beach and The Catch Kitchen + Bar restaurant at the West Point Harbour, ON GLENWOOD POND provides luxury, fully equipped accommodation's for up to six ( 6 ) PFA'S ( people from away ) guests. Our 2 story, 3 bedroom home has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds for the kid's! Each bedroom is also equipped with a 3 piece en-suite! A fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities are also provided for your convenience.

Located at the intersection of highway 14 and 139, the Coastal Scenic highway ( Rte 14 ) will take you to North Cape and the famous Wind Observatory and Wind and Reef restaurant.

A short 15 minute drive into the town of O'Leary, the vacationer will find the local grocery, liquor and gas bar. For those that want to take a vacation from cooking there are two fine restaurants as well. Vinny's Take-out and the G & E Restaurant ( famous for there Fries with the Works ) an island delicacy .

Those that wish to stay put, the Brook Trout fishing in Glenwood Pond is said to be some of the best on the island ( don't forget your fishing license )!

beautiful, bright, spacious house in a tranquil setting

Our family of 4 adults and one infant thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well-equipped, thoroughly renovated, charming property. We could have accommodated still another couple very comfortably in the third good-size BR with its own bath. The very friendly owners showed attention to every detail and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The photogenic site is across the brook from a small historical park where a water mill stood from 1835 until 1979. The gentle rush of the waterfall over the small dam and through the fish ladder adds a unique and relaxing element to the atmosphere. The location does require a car to go anywhere, but the nearest grocery shop is only 15 minutes away and the nearest, beautiful beach with gorgeous sunsets is only 5 minutes away. Next to the beach is a small lobster fishing port, a very nice casual dining restaurant, and a historic lighthouse open to visitors. We would gladly stay again.
