Clean, nice quiet location. Easy to access buses to and from trains and important places.

Not impressed with the response from Lewis when we called to tell him the toilet seat was broken, the lock on the sliding door was very loose and difficult to lock if opened, no TV remote, freezer door was not attatched, kick plate under stove broken. The response was that he was in Italy and we should "find a different place and I will refund your money".

Owner's Response: In response to the above review . For many years I have managed several holiday let properties . Not once have I received a bad review from hundreds of guests . In one single day the guests managed to break the toilet seat , a freezer door and the kitchen kick plate. I advised where the TV remote was, I received an email confirming it was found. The guest when leaving decided to hide the remote on top of he kitchen units which took our cleaner some considerable time to find. This childish action almost sums up the review. I was visiting family at the time so unfortunately could not attend personally to address the issues highlighted. However Within the hour I offered to have our handy man attend . Due to the amount off issues I offered a full refund , if the guests wished to find alternative accommodation . They chose to stay so the apartment must not have been so bad after all ! Unfortunately at some point you will encounter bad guests.. Please read our other reviews which are execellent and do not be put off by one spiteful review . Kind regards , Lewis .

Perfect place to stay while visiting Edinburgh

Very nice set of rooms in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to City Center or a short walk from bus line to City Center and anywhere else reachable by bus. Kitchen/living room, bath/toliet, and bedroom were all clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Cafes and bistros are right around the corner but it's also convenient to cook at home in the well-equipped kitchen. The weather was nice when we were there so we enjoyed sitting at the little table outside the kitchen. Parking on the property isn't available, but parking is free on the street on weekends -- at about 1 pound/hr on weekdays. It's easy to set up the app so you can pay by mobile phone for parking on weekends but tricky (we thought) because you can only purchase a block of 4 parking hours at a time. It would have been more convenient to be able to buy a whole day -- or even multiple days' -- parking at one time, but probably increases the chances the authorities can issue a citation. I'd recommend not using a car at all, because it's simply not needed due to proximity of City Center by walking or bus. Or, if you need a [rental] car (for, e.g. traveling around Scotland after visiting Edinburgh like we did) wait until after you leave Lewis's place. But highly recommend staying there.

Just right!

The property was exactly what we needed for my mother. Warm, clean, comfortable and in a peaceful, very attractive location.

The Access your Booking app from Homeaway didn't give the address, contact or check in details for the property, so I had to email the owner which was unexpected and a little inconvenient, but we got there.

This could be a little home from home for my mum, who needs the peace of her own pad when visiting us.

Very cosy and clean house

I stayed here for a month and had a wonderful time. The house was in a great neighbourhood and I felt very safe. It's attached to a big house, but it's private. There are an oven, stove and fridge, so you're able to cook your own meals if you want.

I walked everywhere (about 20-30 minutes to Princes Street, 20 minutes to the Royal Mile), but the buses are quite frequent. There are also lots of pubs, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. In autumn, you will see some great sunsets when you're at the canal at the right time.

I would recommend staying here!

a brief stay in a wonderful city

I really enjoyed the location of this little flat. A beautiful part of town with all the amenities, centrally located on bus routes of all kinds and within walking distance to a park. The bed was firm and the water great (coming from San Francisco with some of the best water in the world, this is important!). I only wish that for travelers outside of Europe visiting the UK that the WiFi could have been more steady.

Great find in a great city

The property is perfect for 1 or 2 person. It’s well equipped and comfortable, located in a quiet road. There are a lot of coffee shops, restaurants and supermarkets (sainsburys, tesco, waitrose) in walking distance. To the city centre you can take the bus (approx. 5 stations) or you walk about 15-20 min.

It’s a lovely place to stay, nothing is missing. Would definitely stay again!
