Look no further: A true Vermont gem!
If you're looking for a cozy home on acres and acres of pure beauty, this is the place!
Jim & Sue's home is the perfect getaway for any couple, family or group of friends. They also allow well-behaved pets, which makes this place even more special. Sue was there to greet us when we arrived from our very long journey. She is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She gave us a well-detailed tour of the house and was more than happy to answer any questions we had about the area.
You notice from the moment you step foot in the door that this house has been well-loved over the years. It's filled with beautiful antiques and adorable photos, which were so sweet to look at. Everything was very tidy and all of the beds were super comfy and cozy.
The view from the master bedroom is stunning. My husband and I woke up each morning and were delighted to see those big beautiful green mountains (without even having to get out of bed, now that's a plus)! Sue and Jim allowed us to use vegetables from their garden and even had some picked for us before we got there. Let's just say we had some very tasty salads each night that we stayed. One day, Sue and Jim invited us to their lake house where they let us use there kayaks, paddle boats and even took us on their motor boat! They are awesome people, and we will definitely be back! Btw, if you love dogs, they've got the MOST adorable golden retrievers, so definitely go visit them if you have the chance!
We would 100% recommend staying at the Windy Meadow Farm.
To my new friend Katie, We so enjoyed having you and your husband and mother stay here. You definitely have your heart and soul in Vermont, so follow your dream. You will definitely be here some day! They will call you a flatlander at first, but with your good attitude you will truly become a Vermonter! Please keep in touch! Sue
Windy Meadow Farm
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Windy Meadow Farm with million dollar views from every window. A cozy old fashioned farmhouse with all of the amenities, and easy accessibility to good food at the Craftsbury General Store just a few miles away and great restaurants in Stowe, which is only 40 minutes away. We came to Wolcott to bike on the newly constructed (but not finished) bike trail with access in Morrisville, but also on the roads and the woods in Craftsbury. We found the woods trails too technical and steep (we are in our seventies), but the roads in Craftsbury are mostly hardpacked dirt with virtually no traffic. Sue and Jim have a beautiful vegetable garden from which we picked lettuce for our salads. A family of deer amused us at dusk...even saw a bobcat. A perfect place for our old dogs as there is no traffic near the house, which is over a half mile off the road. Tranquil and quiet. We will definitely re-visit. Thank you Sue and Jim.
We are so happy that you enjoyed our farm, and hope you do come back again! Foliage is incredible, and we could always have a way to make the Internet go down, so your husband could vacation and not bring his work with him. I was glad to get to meet you, and must say, you left the house spotless! Thanks, Sue
