The apartment is lovely and spacious and in a great location.
Very modern and clean, the apartment had everything we needed. The communication and instructions about picking the key up were very clear and Alessandra was very friendly and helpful.
Contemporary comfortable clean apartment with a great view
We have been travelling for over a month and we recently stayed in this apartment for 4 nights - it was the best accommodation we have had during our time away (hotels included) - the apartment was clean and comfortable with a great view that more than matched the photos - it was also well provisioned (eg toilet paper) unlike some other places we stayed in - the host was very helpful and available - we would certainly stay here again if in Alghero and highly recommend it
We had a lovely stay at this lovely apartment! The apartment is very spacious, clean and modern. Gabriele was helpful and quick to reply. We have been to Alghero several times as we love the place, and the people are so friendly. We will definitely be back!! As a quick tip... If you find yourself at a loose end with luggage and a long wait for your flights, there's a place across the road that can hold your luggage for 5 euros a piece. :)
Nice clean place with comfortable beds and good hot water in nice bathrooms. Close to all stores and to the Old Town of Alghero.
I never wanted to leave
the location of Big Garibaldi is perfect for beaches as well as shopping and sightseeing. Only a short walk to Old Town and the city walls, it is also close to many Spiaggia. Two well-stocked grocery stores are just around the corner and the outstanding restaurant Sa Mesa is between them. Big Garibaldi is a beautiful apartment with many amenities. The spacious balcony looks out on the bay and Capo Caccia in the distance and is where we spent many an hour enjoying the local Sella & Mosca wines and wonderful food we picked up. I would definitely return!
We were not disappointed!
We stayed for 2 weeks. Apartment is spacitious, modern and perfectly located. Air conditioning very welcome! View from the balcony stunning! Wanted for nothing really the whole time we were there. Gabriele was very helpful. Apartment is a 10-15 minute walk from the old town which was perfect for a pre and post dinner walk. We loved the apartment being right opposite the beach - makes life easy when you want to pop back for lunch, a drink or the loo! Alghero has something for most, beaches, history, good eating and other facilities. Recommend a car so you can explore a bit further afield. Our only suggestion is that if Gabriele has guests staying for 2 weeks that towels and bedding are changed at the half way point. Other than that we would definitely recommend.
The magnificent location of this apartment makes it the ideal location for those who love to spend the holiday. The apartment faces between the port and the beginning of the beach, and the distances from the sand is just a road. The sea-facing terrace, very wide and livable, is furnished with outdoor furniture. Here you can spend moments of absolute tranquillità.Andando walk to the famous 'Promenade Bousquet', you can easily reach the charming old town of Alghero or simply crossing the Via Garibaldi, you can admire the long white beaches and crystal clear waters of this city . The property is ideal for those who want a strategic location between the sea and the old town.
In 1354 the Aragonese took Alghero and transformed it into a Catalan city. You can observe the Iberian origins (the Aragonese Alghero occupied for about 400 years) in the local dialect, which is similar to Catalan and street names. In the 19th and early 20th century, the Italian royal family spent the summer holidays in Alghero.
Alghero is a vibrant and modern with a population of about 45 000 people during the year hosts several cultural events and art exhibitions. Walking in the ancient streets of the historic center, in doorways and along the ramparts that protected the city from the churches and fortresses and everything 'will capture your imagination. Visit the Market in the city center and find fruits and vegetables, fresh fish, meats and cheeses. Beaches, clubs and restaurants are within walking or cycling.
For those wishing to explore the surrounding area, we suggest you rent a car and visit Capo Caccia, the Caves of Neptune Beach Bombarde, Lazzaretto, Marina Tower, Mugoni and Stintino. A short drive will take you 'in Bosa south (spectacular road Alghero - Bosa, newly inserted between patrrimoni Unesco) or Stintino a bit' more to the north. Temperatures in the summer on the coast reach on average 28 degrees C and can be up to 30/32 in August. And 'possible to swim from April to November as the mild climate has continued for about 6/7 months. Spring is milder and allow visitors to appreciate the surrounding countryside before the arrival of the dry heat of summer '.
