A stunning 2 bedroom new luxury apartment built in the traditional Savoyard village of Samoens, Grand Massif. The perfect base for summer or winter holiday. Only minutes walk form the village centre with a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants, and the Grand Massif telecabine.

Sleeping 4-6 comfortably in modern yet traditional style with breath taking mountain views from the large balcony and access to a private swimming pool, it is perfect for relaxing after a busy day walking, cycling or skiing.

The apartment comprises 1 double room with king size bed and en-suite shower, 1 double/ twin room, 1 generous double sofa bed in lounge area, and 1 large family shower room. Baby cot and high chair provided. Fully equipped modern kitchen, free wi-fi, TV, Xbox & selection of games and DVD player & DVDs, large balcony with large folding table, 4 folding wooden chairs & 2 loungers, BBQ, ski locker and underground parking.

The apartment is located only 5 minute walk from the village lake and an outdoor pool with flume. Both are contained within a public park area with walking paths, golf driving range, putting green, tennis courts, pony rides, children's play area and bungee trampolines. There is also a parapente (seated parachuting) base, 'Indiana Park' forest high climb centre and access to the beautiful river walks which can lead you to gorgeous 'blue lac' with beach and further high wire adventure centre at neighbouring town of Morillon.

Only 50 mins drive from Geneva airport, Samoens is one of the few remaining traditional Alpine villages that still caters for those wanting a wide range of activities, natural beauty or peaceful mountain retreat.

After visiting Samoens ourselves for a summer holiday, we fell in love with the area and decided to purchase a property here. We have now returned to Samoens several times for both winter and summer holidays and thoroughly enjoy staying at Apartment Ecossais. We would like to share our apartment with you so that you too can enjoy all Samoens and the surrounding area has to offer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in this lovely and comfortable apartment. The description and photos were accurate but the en suite shower area does not have a toilet which was unexpected as we just took it for granted that it would....although this was not at all a problem. Even though the apartment is just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Samoens it is nice and quiet and there is a great south facing balcony with stunning views. Perfect for having breakfast in the morning in the glorious sunshine,,,,yes even in February!! The pool was an added bonus and really nice so we used it most days.

Samoens itself is a delightful and pretty traditional French alpine style village and we were very taken with it. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants and we particularly liked "Aux Becs A Fleu". The Wednesday market was excellent.......we stuffed ourselves with local goodies, especially the cheese!

The main event was the skiing and the Grand Massif certainly didn't disappoint; it was just fabulous! Loads of brilliant runs for all abilities. The food at lunchtime on the mountains was generally good with the exception of "La Combe" up in Morillon which was just awful so steer clear.

We would definitely recommend this property and would have no hesitation in returning ourselves

Le Coeur Tartan

We've just come back from a week in Samoens staying in Le Coeur Tartan.

The apartment is spacious (for a ski apartment) but if you have people on the sofa beds it's always going to shrink the living room space with their belongings. The balcony is a good size too and has a large table with space left over and a BBQ.

The kitchen equipment was comprehensive (we cooked every other day) and worked well once you've read the instructions. We really appreciated having a washing machine in the bathroom, so we didn't build up masses of washing to take home and I got to wash my cycling kit properly.

The position of the block between the municipal swimming pools/ lakes/ leisure complex and the center of town is great. 5-10 mins. walk to the outdoor pool and 5 mins. in to town for a meal - perfect.

WiFi in the apartment, not block WiFi, was just like being at home. Pity the IPlayer doesn't work abroad. We used the DVD player but not the computer game (might have been an X-box, but I'm not sure)

The pool in the complex is lovely and just as importantly (for some) the deck outside it gets sun for most of the day to relax in. The balcony loses the sun by about 1.30-2pm, but gets it as soon as it rises over the mountain (about 8ish in mid August)

So, to summaries; it's modern, it's clean, it's spacious, it's well quipped, it's in the right place and........we would most definitely go back!

Lovely well equipped chalet, stunning views, 25m from indoor swimming pool. Walk to lakes, town+ all

Fantastic chalet apartment with stunning mountain views. Access to superb indoor private swimming pool 25m away! Walking distance from beautiful mountain market town with lots of picturesque shops, cafes, and lovely restaurants, aswell as lakes and an array of activities...rafting, mountain biking, fishing, horse riding, water golf, parascending, hiking, tennis, outside pool etc. Information of free activities and events also available at the local tourist office. Loved the rafting. Chamonix an hour's drive where we went up Mount Blanc and into the glacier (le Mer de glacé). Well worth getting up before dawn to get there early to beat queuing for hours to see the amazing landscape. Everything anyone could want in a holiday.

Lovely property in a great location

This is a very comfortable and well-equipped property with ample parking. Good sized balcony with excellent views up the valley and early sun up to lunch time. Having 2 showers was a bonus. The kitchen is well equipped. Great to have use of an on-site shared indoor pool. Excellently located for walking into Samoen centre, only 5 minute walk, where there are several gift shops, restaurants and bars etc. Excellent base for exploring more widely, with Chamonix, Annecy and Geneva all only an hour away. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay!

We had a wonderful holiday in this comfortable and clean apartment. It is tastefully decorated and the appliances were modern and of a high standard. The spacious balcony has nice views and good quality furniture. We loved having the BBQ as the weather was very hot! The communal indoor pool and sun terrace was a real hit (especially with our children!) and was very clean. The apartment is within easy walking distance of the centre of Samoens and the leisure centre with its outdoor pool. Samoens is a pretty and traditional town and we did loads of outdoor activities including hiking, biking, tennis, white water rafting and paragliding. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Le coeur tartan

Fantastic base for a holiday in the mountains. Apartment was really well situated in Samoens. It was clean, comfy and had wonderful views to the valley. The week was spent mountain biking, hiking and using the cable cars to enjoy the views. Wednesday food market in Samoens also great.

Home from Home in Samoens

The descriptions of layout, facilities (internal and external) were accurate but as the complex has no visible Identification it can be missed by car drivers. It was very well maintained and clean, a pleasure to move into. The owners provided a satisfactory information service but we only spoke to the manager once by 'phone when he gave us instructins about the access codes. The location is wonderfully quiet and picturesque, especially from the balcony. The village is attractive, an easy walk and has all the shops and restaurants you will need. Make sure you talk a walk to and around the Park and check whats on in the theatre/leisure center. We are recommending it to friends and family.
