About Nordic Belle
I'm a 4th generation Yooper, my great grandparents came from Canada and Sweden. My maternal great grand parents owned a flour mill in forestville and there was also a saloon downtown Marquette in the 1800s. My great grand mother was a dressmaker. My grandpa was a detailer at Lake Superior carriage works. He liked to whittle and was creative- my mother stayed here with my grandma while her siblings left the UP- my grandma didn't want to live anywhere else, she missed the UP very much when they left to live in Chicago in 1922, so they had to return. My paternal side in 1911 or so after the big fire in Oscoda my dads parents moved to Big Bay 30 miles from here, my grandfather worked at the Brunswick Blake Collander company. They shipped out maple from Big Bay for billiards pool cues and bowling pins. In 1926 my grandfather invented a bowling pin. My grandparents played music-the violin and piano for silent film theatre also in Big Bay. My grandfathers both died fairly young and my grandmothers persevered with the love of family and the UP. They loved to cook, bake and play the piano ❤️ I myself am very traditional and like all the above and my creative streak is helping others, outdoor photography, being near the water of Lake Superior, in nature, my salon, and art.

2 thumbs up
Thoughtfully appointed. This was our second stay and it was just as great and clean as the first time. Comfy bed with clean linens in bed and bath. Property manager communicated well and provided helpful suggestions for restaurants and activities nearby. Thank you!
Nice and cozy
The listing was very accurate and the owner is very easy to communicate with. The owner lives on the ground level and is very knowledgeable about Marquette. The bed is very comfortable. Downtown is a short drive or bicycle ride away.
I highly recommend this property.
Great space. Perfect location. Clean. It was just what we needed!
Adorable Victorian Apartment!
We booked this for a mini honeymoon on Marquette, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Great location with a lake view in a very nicely updated Victorian home. We loved the antique furnishings, and we were pleasantly surprised at how large the accommodations were. The host gave some great suggestions for places to eat. Overall, if you're looking to visit Marquette, I would highly recommend staying here!
Great apartment near downtown
We loved our stay in this great and well appointed apartment. Upon arrival, we were surprised at how big the apartment is! The living area is a nice big space to spread out and relax. Everything is nicely decorated, and there are a lot of local artworks and books to enjoy.
The location is great. We walked into downtown several times, and found downtown Marquette to be really walkable. We used Marquette as our base for exploring all the great outdoor offerings of the region, including kayaking Pictured Rocks (about a 40 minute drive away).
We had a great stay and will return again!
Really loved staying here...great, quiet place close to downtown and everything you need to have a good time in Marquette. Will be staying here again!
Near beach and downtown
