About Camp Fire Minnesota
Camp Fire Minnesota is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our Mission: Young people want to shape the world. With nature as our catalyst, Camp Fire Minnesota energizes youth to discover their spark so their futures glow brighter. Founded in 1910, Camp Fire is the first nonsectarian, interracial organization for girls in the United States. In 1912 the first Minnesota Camp Fire groups were organized. In 1924, Camp Fire Girls in Minnesota began operating its first summer camp program at Tanadoona in Chanhassen. In 1958, Camp Bluewater opened, hosting its first camping season to Camp Fire youth. Based on a commitment to the entire family, whatever its structure, membership was expanded to include boys in 1975. Today, we are inclusive and open to every person in the communities we serve.

Charming cabin, great for large groups!
Lovely little space great for a group. We had 15 people stay there and it was enough space. Might be tight with a full 30,unless you're able to get outside more.
Our Family of 30 decided to stay here over Thanksgiving. Laura was easy to work with and answered all our questions. She even gave us a tour so we knew exactly what to expect. We spent Wednesday through Saturday at our "Thanksgiving Camp." We were greeted by Tali who showed us to the Bluebird cabin. We had the very best time all being together. We ranged in age from 5 to 95 and a wonderful time was had by all. Tali couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. She reacted quickly to any problem that arose and got it solved or corrected. We were in great hands. The camp was so homey and we all felt very comfortable. This camp is amazing. There is a never ending amount of things to do. Just being in the naturally wooded 103 acre property on Lake Minnewashta was a fantastic adventure. Our family will always remember our Thanksgiving Camp and our new friend Tali. We hope to return next year.
We had been looking for a place to do a retreat for a while and couldn't find anything until we found this! It was an excellent place, not too far outside the cities, for a good 24 hour retreat. Would recommend!
