A luxury detached provencal villa with private garden, beautifully restored with French antique furniture, marble bathroom, air conditioning ,private free parking , with quality beds and Egyptian cotton bed linen. The kitchen has dishwasher, oven, hob, American fridge freezer with water filter and ice on tap. Also second toilet and laundry room. Enjoy the extraordinary quality of light and breathtaking views of sea valley and mountains. In this peaceful and serene region, you can relax and feel at home. The Villa has two terraces, one covered to enjoy a shady lingering lunch the other is located off the sitting room which is a raised terrace with a sea and valley views, from the private garden below, you can see across the valley with mountains as back drop. The master bedroom has french doors opening onto a Juliette balcony with a sea view.

The Villa is situated 20 minutes from Nice , according to Google maps beaches , the famous Promenade Des Anglais and the markets in the old town , flower and antiques .Highly recommended places to visit , Monaco & Grand Prix , 45 minutes drive , Menton 50 minutes drive famous for its flower festival , Cannes 30 minutes famous for the film festival , Eze and the Chateau Eza ,40 minutes , Villages close by , Vence , Tourette Sur Loup , St Paul De Vence village the famous and renowned village of art , the location for the Foundation Maeght , a museum of modern art situated in St Paul De Vence .

St paul De Vence is also known for its special restaurants the most famous being The La Colombe D'Or located at the entrance to the medieval village , the menu created by Paul Roux . During world war two many rewound artists of the day frequented St Paul De Vence known for its amazing light , some of these artists and literati paid for their accommodation at La Colombe D'Or with paintings , the beginning of what is today an extraordinary collection of works by iconic masters like Matisse , lager, Picasso , Braqe , and Chagall of which some can be seen hanging on the walls of the interior of the restaurant .

Also close by is the newly opened open air shopping centre the " Polygon Rivera , including 150 shops and restaurants , cinemas casino , and beauty therapy , beautifully designed with water fountains and modern art , 5 minutes drive away .

Extra service can be provided by separate negotiation.

About Raymond and Sharon Everall.

We bought the Villa in 2004 it was almost derelict but in the most beautiful location. After spending many family holidays in the south of France it was our dream one day to have a property of our own . We first visited Saint Paul in 2002 after dinning at La Colombe do'r . We just fell in love with the village being such a short drive from Nice airport and so close to beaches it was the perfect location for us .

The foundation maeght and LaColombe d’or are a must visit for all art lovers . Saint Paul although being close to Nice Airport and all amenities is still a semi rural village . We now also have the Polygon Rivera just a five minute drive away , with many boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants.

We had spent a lot of time looking for our perfect holiday home, our first priority was the location and then views , we particularly wanted a sea view, the villa has so many beautiful views from every window of the valley sea and mountains, watching the beautiful sunrises and sunsets are my favourite pastime .

We are a family of four and lived in the villa for two years from 2004 to 2006.It was a wonderful experience for our whole family and the villa is still filled with many happy memories.

What makes this villa unique

Villa 8 is the only detached villa on the south side of Domain Du Piol with its own private garden that enjoys all day sun .

Domaine du piol is a private gated domaine .

My wife and I restored the villa in early 2004, and continue to maintain every year with decoration, new bedding and towels are bought on a regular basis and so to maintain a high standard for our guests and ourselves. The views from the villa are breathtaking , looking down the St Paul valley to the sea , and to the mountains and the most beautiful sunsets . St Paul De Vence is a historic village full of art shops and gallaries and interesting architectural features and culture just a short walk or drive away .

The perfect holiday home on the Riviera

If you are looking for a perfect location to visit all the most picturesque villages on the Riviera we can strongly recommend this gorgeous villa.

The villa is beautifully decorated, has a lovely balcony/veranda, gorgeous views and we felt instantly at home. It is perfectly positioned near St Paul de Vence with its wonderful and famous restaurant Colombe D'Or, Nice and Cannes if you like wondering around antiques markets and the old town as well as not far from gorgeous beaches with restaurants on the beach. We would love to come back in the future and can strongly recommend it.

Very much recommeded!

Our stay in the villa was perfect for two adults and two kids. Villa is not that large but it has everything you need. Villa is nicely decorated inside and there are nice spaces to have breakfast, lunch and dinner outside. Views are great to surrounding area and also to St Paul de Vence. Pool was also excellent and there was enough space for all visitors. However pool is quite deep so not that suitable for small children.

Villa is perfectly located in quiet area with a short distance to St Paul de Vence and grocery store.

There is 5 min drive to very nice shopping centre. It was pleasant surprise that there was no need to go to Nice just for shopping.

Communication with Raymond and Sharon was very easy and messages were replied fast. We definitely recommend staying in this villa. Thank you a lot for nice holiday!

Charming space, unbelievable view

We enjoyed our holiday at Domaine Du Piol immensely and found the accommodations for two adults and two children to be perfect. The villa is not large but makes the use of the space in clever ways and the decor is very tasteful. The master bedroom is gorgeous and has a lovely view of the countryside and the sea beyond. In any event, we spent most of our time outdoors and by the pool. The location is terrific, with countless attractions an easy drive away. We spent time in nearby St. Paul de Vence, plus Antibes, Eze, Nice and Grasse. Amenities such as grocery stores, pharmacies and restaurants were easy to reach. We would definitely recommend the place to others. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

A beautiful and charming little villa with spectacular views. We recommend it highly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Raymond and Sharon’s villa. The place was spotlessly clean and all mod cons worked perfectly. The housekeeper, Eva, is a real gem and very helpful. Everything is well laid out and comfortable. The views from the master bedroom each morning down towards the sea made us want to get up early just to open the shutters and take it all in... followed by breakfast on the terrace overlooking the valley and mountains in the distance. Very close to St Paul de Vence (walking distance about 20 minutes) which is a picturesque and delightful little town. There’s a large supermarket about 10 minutes drive down the hill and the villa is in a great location to tour the surrounding beautiful Provençal countryside. All in all fabulous! We will definitely return!

There are excellent golf facilities near Cannes and Mougins approx 30mins drive away, bike hire and rollerblading is available on Nice Promenade approx 20mins drive.

How to get there

The Villa is 20 minutes drive from Nice Airport. Most well known car hire companies operate from the airport, weekly hire for 4 door compact with air con, approx £180 per week, in high season, we would recommend that you book in advance. A car is recommended for this area, although not absolutely necessary. Taxis are available at the airport, cost approx 50 euros to the Villa.

Distances

The Villa is approx 15 minutes walk from the medieval village of St Paul De Vence, and only 3 minutes drive. 10 minutes drive to the next small town of Vence, with its daily markets, and old town. 20 minutes drive to Nice, and the famous Promenade Des Anglais. Cannes is 30 minutes drive, Monaco 40 minutes on the A8 motorway, or take all day exploring the coast road, and its many villages and coastal towns, and beaches.

St Paul De Vence, is a medieval walled village, renowned for the famous Colombe d"Or restaurant which is adorned by art works of Chagall, Matisse, Picasso, Modigliani and Bracque, that over the years have been left to the owners "allegedly " in lieu of payment. The area is renowned for its art, exhibitions & luminous light that drew the artists here. St Paul also boasts some of the most interesting art studios, and interesting mix of boutiques. The Fondation Maeght host many exceptional exhibitions. Excellent base to explore Nice, Antibes, Cannes, Monaco, Italy, St Tropez, and the surrounding picturesque medieval villages of Vence, Tourrettes, Gourdon, St Jeannet and more. There are local supermarkets individual shops and banks, in all the surrounding towns and villages, also antiques. Fees No additional mandatory fees

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Discounts for rentals of longer than 2 weeks. A 25 % deposit will secure bookings , the balance payable no later 70 days prior to the arrival date . a £300,00 refundable security deposit will be required with final rental payment , this will be paid and refunded after housekeeping fees have been deducted direct to the owner of which bank details will be supplied to you . A cleaning and laundry amount of £85.00 will be charged for each rental of up to 2 persons , a further £25.00 will be charged for each extra person up to the maximum of 4 persons , to include mid weekly linen change , for bookings of more than one week . this amount will be deducted from the returned security payment . Once final payment and refundable security deposit is cleared , we will send you by email through the Homeaway web site , directions to the villa , a villa folder and key codes for entry to the villa , the villa folder also has contact details for our housekeeper who lives nearby , just in case you may need help or assistance .



Changeover day

Booking notes
To reserve a booking, a 25% deposit is payable. The full amount (normally) 70days in advance of your arrival. A refundable security deposit of £300 will be required ,paid direct to the owner with the final payment, refunded within 3 weeks of vacating the property, discounts available, on lettings three weeks, or longer. The amount of £85.00 for up to 2 persons , plus £25.00 per head for the third and fourth , will be charged at the end of each rental period for cleaning , linen. and laundry , and will be deducted from the refund of the security deposit .
