A great week at the beach!
We are familiar with Fort Myers Beach, so knew exactly where Santini Plaza was for pick-up during off hours. But, it's so close to the actual building that it would have been easy, even if we didn't know. Eden House is a very nice building at the quiet end of Estero Island. Designated parking made it simple to arrive, unpack and get vacation started. The unit was sparkling clean when we arrived, and you could still smell the fresh cleaning supplies. (I always love that!)
The unit itself is decorated with great coastal style, and offers a lot of space compared to most of what I've seen in the areas. The layout is perfect, and I was dumbfounded that there was in-unit washer and dryer.
The views were amazing from the living area and the master bedroom - the lagoon and the ocean as far as the eye can see. And, walking to the beach was a breeze for beautiful sandy beaches, warm waves and amazing sunsets.
It's a great unit, but we had a few minor issues. I left feedback on a couple of small things that needed attention, but nothing to complain about! We had a fantastic week!
Had a wonderful time
Overall, great condo. Pool is small, but not crowded. Quiet location. Short walk to beach. Great views. Only issue were the beds. Both are very hard and squeak every time you move. Washer and dryer is small but perfect for keeping up with our laundry and much more convenient than a common laundry. Glad that we had access to a broom and vacuum so we could keep the floors clean during our stay. Has hair dryer now, so no need to bring your own. We did have to buy beach chairs, so perhaps owner or rental company could offer chairs for rent for those who want them. Unit has large cooler with wheels to use, which was nice since it’s a little walk to the beach access. We would stay there again.
Nice unit; better traffic area
Check in and out was a breeze. Also appreciate email regarding parade closure,as last year we were stuck in the mess at the orher end of the island.
Great space for a family
The condo was really big and updated, plenty of room and outfitted kitchen. Easy check in and out. My wife and I are clean freaks, so I give it a 7 out of 10 for cleanliness. I mopped the floor which was pretty dirty, and we always wash the sheets and put pillows in the dryer irregardless of where we stay. Perfect view of beach and can see the sunset from balcony. The beach is a bit of a walk due to the tide pool between the shore and condo, not a prob for a young family, but could be for someone that has difficulty walking. Pool was nice deck area is a bit small, but most people rotate in and out of the area pretty regularly. Has small kitchen off of pool and bathrooms which was a plus. Nice people staying there, very friendly atmosphere. Would probably stay there again.
Beautiful viewAbsolutely would stay there again it was perfect for me and my son everything and walk
Location was close to great restaurants and shopping We took the Key West express over to the keys just about five minutes over the bridge to catch it it was wonderful Santa Maria plaza right restaurant shopping hope to stay there again next year
Beautiful condo in lovely spot.
This condo is nicely decorated, very comfortable and well- equipped. We especially enjoyed the screened-in balcony where we watched the birds in the morning and the sunset in the evening.
Prior reviews have noted that technically this building is not “on” the beach. There is a narrow inlet of water which separates the building from the beach. To get to the beach, you walk down a few buildings until the inlet ends. At first this bothered me, but after a day or so I appreciated it. The inlet is full of egrets, pelicans and other birds in the morning. Even though we were there during Easter Week, the section of beach on the other side was never crowded. Just be aware that a short walk is necessary to get to the beach itself. (You can’t walk or swim across the inlet - there is a small fence on the other side, probably to protect the birds & turtles).
Another thing noted in the reviews is that there is no hair dryer in the condo. I assumed this would have been addressed (since it had been noted), but we did have to buy a hair dryer. This is such an easy thing to fix, and it should be fixed.
The pool and pool deck are small. This wasn’t a problem for us - we were always able to find chairs, and we actually enjoyed being able to visit with the other guests.
The furniture and bedding is extremely nice and very comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped. Bathrooms are small but adequate.
Overall we had a great time. I would go back. Ft. Meyers Beach was jam-packed for Easter Break, so we didn’t venture too far, but we enjoyed the restaurants and shopping in town.
