About the owner
My name is Huseyin Unal I am Turkish. My wife's name is Joy and she is British. I had lived in London from 1970 to 2000 for 30 years. Retired from our business in 2000. Since then have been living in my home town Antalya during autumn and winter months and living in Beycik during spring and summer months. I love European people. Visiting Europe and my second home UK during Christmas and other times of the year gives me a great pleasure
Huseyin purchased this villa in 2000

Beycik is situated 500 - 900 meters above sea level on the slopes of the famous Olympos (Tahtali) mountain, whose peak reaches a staggering 2,336 meters. The village boasts magnificent views of the mountain slopes, green pine forests and blue sea. It is very close to the famous blue flag beaches of Tekirova, Phaselis, Kemer, Cirali (Olympos) and Adrasan (Cavuskoy). Beycik’s mountain and coastal location makes it an ideal place for outdoor activities such as walking, trekking, taking Jeep safari tours and skiing, as well as swimming, sailing, diving, daily boat tours and Blue Voyage yachting an more.
Property is situated at a unique place. Higher and less humid then sea level, quite, clean air as there is no pollution, forest, mountain and sea view. Ideal place for relaxing, near to the famous blue flag beaches and places of interest.
Another 5 star review? You bet. If I could give another star I would. Loved the setting...away from the madding crowd. Always about 5'C cooler than down at the coast. Husseyin is as kind and helpful as all the other reviewers have said. And his recommendations for dining were great. We ate twice up in the trees (literally) at Rivera Park. Sublime. We ate everywhere else recommended and they were all great. We did the donkey trek with Christian. We also went river rafting south of Antalya and that was one of the many highlights of our holiday. The kids (11 and 13) loved it. We took the cable car up Mt. Olympos for fantastic views. We did 3 one day cruises. Top tip: don't go from Kemer as you will have 5 pirate ships following you all day with DJ's and loud music that can be heard for miles across the water. Go to Andrasan and contact Captain Engin Bayar (05322228476). He speaks excellent English and like everyone we met was polite and soft-spoken. We did a cruise north of Andrasan on one occasion and all of us agreed that it was the best day ever out on the water in Turkey (and we have done many day cruises over the years). The second day we went south from Andrasan and saw sea turtles and 2 dolphins. Both times it was us and Turkish families, no other foreigners. It was delightful. The price was just 50TL pp (not even £12) and included a delicious lunch.
It is almost a month since we got home and every day at least one of us mentions our lovely holiday. We felt as though we had visited an unspoiled Turkish part of Turkey.
I can only agree with all the reviews below and won't repeat their recommendations, except to say that you should eat at Sibel's; go for a walk with Christian (and his donkeys); use firstrentacar and all the other suggestions!
I want to start by thanking Huseyin for his generosity and time - especially on our last day when we had issues with flight times changing to the very early morning. He organised a lift in minutes to take our parents to the airport. Thanks again Huseyin - we are very grateful.
In terms of the accommodation, it is wonderful to be away from the crowds and the views from the pool are so breathtaking it's ridiculous. My favourite evenings were sitting with my father in law, beating him at chess (ha!) and having an efes as the sun set over the mountains. So our first recommendation is to spend time at the villa as well as trips to the beaches.
In terms of beaches, having visited many of them, our favourites were Phaselis as it is a bit special with the ruins and has good snorkelling. We also liked Adrasan. Saying that, we saw octopus and barracuda at Cirali so that was good too!
In terms of food, we most enjoyed cooking at the villa - buy your fish in Kemer or at the excellent Terikova market. Sibel's was the best restaurant. My biggest tip is for the men to enjoy a wet shave in Terikova and don't miss out on getting your cheeks waxed! There's also a lovely café on the main street in Terikova - great for pasta breakfasts and coffee.
An important tip is on money exchange. Don't go to the exchange shops - they are a rip off. Many of the banks will not exchange to foreigners. However, Deniz bank in Kemer has by far the best rates and were really friendly.
It was a lovely holiday and we hope to return one day. Strongly recommended. Oh yes, and we saw a wild tortoise as we drove down the hill from the villa. You could tell it was wild due to its great speed and savage demeanor!
It’s easy to see why the other reviews are so complimentary. What a find!
It’s a truly great place for a holiday and it’s the perfect summer destination – hot with a welcome breeze, lovely pool, fantastic views, and a comfortable, very well maintained and roomy villa. It’s a fantastic escape-away-from-it-all location, but just an easy short trip to the Cirali / Olympos beach and restaurants, or into the small town of Tekirova to stock up on food and drink.
Huseyin made us very welcome and helped with advice on where and when to go to towns / markets / beaches / restaurants so that we got the very best from our stay. The recommended car hire company (FirstRentACarTurkey) was also very friendly and easy to deal with.
One of the other reviews said that if you’re trying to decide between here and somewhere else then press the book button – we did, and recommend you do to!
We had a wonderful stay in this oasis nestled in the forested hills beneath Mount Olympos. Hussein, the owner, speaks perfect English and was always on hand to help out with advice about local restaurants and beaches. The grounds are well maintained and in full bloom during July. If you want to be away from the beach areas this is the place to stay as Cirali beach is only a 20 minute drive away. A car is essential, preferably SUV. The shared pool at Beykent is rarely busy and the views of the mountain and coastline are breath taking. Hussein recommended Star restaurant on Cirali beach and we would as well. We were made very welcome by the manager, Umet and had free use of sun loungers and tea/coffee. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and were never disappointed. The restaurants in Beycik village are excellent, especially Sibel’s, run by a Turkish lady and her Austrian husband Christian. He is an experienced mountaineer and provides guided treks in the ancient woodlands and even to the top of Mt. Olympus. The local markets in Kemer and Cumyuva are great for fresh produce and we found the Turkish people very friendly
A truly superb place to stay, Huseyin, the owner, is a very nice, attentive and friendly man that made our stay very comfortable. You will be transported to a millionaire's paradise set high up in the mountains, when you're swimming in the pool you have amazing views across countryside down to the sea. A half an hour drive takes you to the best beeches we've ever been too, again with all the owner's recommendations coming up trumps, we're usually a couple that likes to adventure into the unknown but we soon came to realise that following Huseyin's suggestions meant you were surrounded by the best restaurants and private off the book beeches. You will need a car when you are there, but this gives the freedom to explore the area, one week wasn't enough and I'm sure we'll be heading back again in the future, we were worried about driving before we hired a car out there but in honest opinions the driving and roads were all very easy to get used to and the drivers weren't as bad as we expected (we'd been to Morocco recently)! In all it is a truly magical place and whether you're going to explore or relax it is the prefect location to do so from. If you're umming and urring between this or somewhere else I fully recommended pressing the book now button!
"The house is very well equiped and very confortable. It''s a very quiet place with a wonderful view on the mountain and the sea. The garden is very clean with a lot of flowers and trees and the swimming pool is very nice (large, clean). We spent real good time between the beach and the mountain. It''s a very good place to discover the area. Special thanks to people we met in Beycik ans the good addresses. We''d like to come again !"
