Beautiful property, well kept and clean. We really loved the pool. The villa was really well kitted out, it felt a real home from home.....until a few days before we left that is, when there was little more than a trickle of water coming through the taps at anytime day or night. This was really unpleasant in such hot conditions and for self-catered accomadation. We couldn't shower, cook or wash up, we had to do our best with bottled water. Sorry but when asked by friends, I couldn't recommend this villa.
Family of 5. We had a great time in the Villa with a lovely view over the Sea, nice pool and outdoor dining and sitting area. Loved it and would go again tomorrow. A quiet location but the nearby town Kolymbia provides some evening entertainment.
The villa and it's grounds are beautiful, we enjoyed our stay immensely!
From the fresh lime trees in the garden, the immaculate pool area, the well equipped kitchen (there was literally nothing I needed that wasn't already thought of, bravo!), the tastefully decorated bedrooms and lounge area to the friendly and informative cleaning and pool staff, it all conspired to create the relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere we needed to take a break from normality.
John (your neighbour a few villas along) was on hand to welcome us, what a lovely chap he is! Friendly, kind and informative just what was needed.
There are a few very friendly neighbourhood cats that delighted in making our aquaintance and entertaining our daughter. A slight negative was the number of wasps that also wanted to join us for our evening meal, the number may indicate a nest nearby which would be worth looking into.
In an otherwise perfect situation the only real down point we found was the Internet connection speed, it is incredibly slow. However, this made my husband disconnect entirely which wasn't a bad thing at all.
We had a wonderful holiday and staying at the Villa Petalutha made it truly memorable.
Thank you, Emma and Antonio.
We all loved to stay in villa petalutha!
Perfectly equiped with really good stuff!
If we don't copy the house, we will be there again!
Thanks to the owners!
I stayed at Villa Petalutha with my girlfriends family and friends and had a lovely holiday in the sun. A particular highlight for me was the amount of space, the views, all the facilities you could wish for (pool, kitchen gadgets, air con, parking, media), plus the perfect weather. I won't hesitate to go back if I have a chance.
Mark and Katrina,
We had a lovely stay again this summer. For two weeks, not only do you book a villa, but you are guaranteed sunshine and blue skies everyday accompanied with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean on one side and the mountainous terrain across the way. All coupled with that warm breeze. It doesn't get any better!
Thank you for the lovey welcome package. The goodies were very much appreciated when we arrived so late in the evening!
We found the new mattress very comfortable. That was a wise update. You may want to give some thought to a more comfortable sitting area in the living room if one just wants to take in some TV entertainment or sit and read. The cupboard below the kitchen sink could use some attention as well as the stainless steel refrigerator and stove as well. Otherwise, we had all amenities and then some.
We enjoyed reading five books from your collection both by day and night as well. It was so relaxing by the poolside which was well maintained. The gentleman that groomed the lawn, hedges, shrubs, trees and even turned the soil beds worked very hard.
Thank you for a memorable holiday stay.
John and Bianca
Villa Petalutha is located in an ideal place for your holiday in Rhodes! Situated in a wonderful peaceful environment with great sea and countryside views, within easy access to great beaches and just 15 minutes drive to the spectacular medieval Rhodes Town in the North and the charming archetypal Greek village of Lindos in the South.
Afandou Beach (Villa Petalutha's local beach) is one of the well renowned Greek Blue Flag beaches with wonderful clean water for swimming and great water-sports facilities including dinghy sailing, Scuba diving, and windsurfing. There are also some great boat trips that leave from the bay taking you to various destinations on the island. If you are in the mood for some pampering there is a fantastic SPA available where discounted prices can be arranged. The beautiful Ladiko Bay and Anthony Quin bay offer great snorkeling opportunities and Tsambika beach with its huge swath of golden sand provides a great beach day out.
If you want to experience a real Greek village, you just need to jump in your car and drive for a few minutes and you will reach Afandou. The square is full of tavernas and cafes, all of which are great spots for watching Greek life taking place in front of your eyes!
For seafood tavernas, Afandou beach has a great selection.
Rhodes Island has so much to see and do!. You can visit the Butterfly Valley which is a lovely wooded environment full of incredible butterflies at certain times of the year. For children, the Faliraki Waterpark is a must (it is one of the largest waterparks in Europe and great fun!), and only 5 minutes drive away! Rhodes Old Town is also a must see - the oldest living walled city in Europe - full of history, as well as great restaurants, bars and shops with local crafts. You cannot visit Rhodes without visiting Lindos - the quintessential picture postcard village with its whitewashed buildings, cobbled streets, dominated by its ancient acropolis.
So, whether you want to relax in the peaceful environment of Villa Petalutha and enjoy a day by your own pool, or you fancy venturing out for the day, the villa offers a great base to come back to.
