About James and Tricia Reeves
Jim and Tricia have lived in Slaughter Beach since 2013. This is the second home we have renovated and make available for Vacation rentals - We had 29 5 star review on our "Bermuda West" beach cottage just down the street. It is our passion to bring people to this wildlife and migratory bird sanctuary so others can learn about and appreciate the role migratory birds play in our eco-system.
James and Tricia Reeves purchased this House in 2013
Why James and Tricia Reeves chose Milford
We love this home as it is open concept home with open views of the bay out front and the marsh out back. There are 4 decks - one off the master suite, one off the guest rooms on the lower level where the hot tub is located, and two off the front on either side of the front door. Great bird watching from your own deck!

Beach Week with the Family
House was well-appointed with everything one would need for a stay down at the Delaware Bay. The hosts, Jim and Tricia, were very responsive.
We had a wonderful time here - the house is beautiful and was plenty of room for all of us! We appreciated how everything was labeled and it was nice that we could all sit together around the table at meals. Our dog loved having a backyard. We visited the nature center, Dogfish Head Brewery (some went twice!), Lewes and Rehoboth Beach and enjoyed looking for shells on the beach. Thank you!
This property is a great hidden location tucked away and is what we were looking for. Lots to explore, the kids and dogs enjoyed the long walks and felt they were saving the crabs! Thank you Jim and Tricia for sharing this beautiful home. The only negative review would be the traffic to and from the main beaches. I would stay again.
All the comforts of home
House was beautiful and clean, with everything you could need to feel right at home. There was a definite attention to detail in order to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable. Our lab mix Stella also felt right at home. The fenced in back yard was wonderful for her, and she loved laying out on the decks and enjoying the natural surroundings. The area was definitely a little more remote than we are used to, but we really enjoyed the peace and quiet. And the sunrises and sunsets are by far some of the most gorgeous we have ever seen. Thanks Jim and Tricia for sharing your wonderful home with us!
Beautiful home. Very helpful owners. My two Saint Bernard’s loved the fenced yard and the views from every point❤️. Took them swinning at nearby remote beach. They were in heaven. Great stay!
The property is lovingly taken care of. Very nice and clean.
Also comfortable and loved that it was 'dog friendly'!
Would go back again.
The beach was not what I expected though.
The home is located in Slaughter Beach which is on the Delaware Bay - we are a un-groomed beach with no restrictions for Dogs (except for leashes) - when the tide is out, you can walk quite a distance out and sea-shelling is great in addition to looking at all sorts of sea life. The bay can be muddy at certain times of the year so the beach directly in front of the home is not always suitable for swimming. The town has a designated swimming beach with a pavilion and bath house just down the road from us on the south end of Slaughter Beach. We do recommend swimming there - or take a trip into Lewes, Rehoboth or Dewey Beaches where the beaches are groomed nightly. Bike riding here is ideal as there is very little traffic and you can bike country roads for 15 miles in either direction with spectacular scenery. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, this is the place for you! Bird-watching, kayaking, sailing, surf fishing and more. This is a wild life sanctuary and a horseshoe crab sanctuary - the town is very devoted to keeping the surrounding area as natural as possible for our wildlife.
