Very well maintained villa
Family week in a lovely Villa in Panormos. They could do with another sofa and the dishwasher didn’t work but otherwise we had an amazing week and the villa was clean and comfortable
Lovely villa in a friendly village
Great property for our 3 children 5-11 years old, 2 adults and 1 OAP. Lovely and clean with quick visits from a cleaner twice while we were there. Friendly owner checked all was okay and we had rapid responses from Agni Travel when we asked about leaving luggage on departure day.
The only minor discrepancy in the description is that the nearby beach is too rocky to do anything but stand on, however, there is a choice of several lovely beaches about 10 minutes’ walk away. The villagers were extremely friendly and tavernas and little shops were great. We were also in a good position to drive to either Heraklion (east) or Chania/Rethymnon (west) so it was a useful spot from which to explore Crete for the first time.

Wonderful views. Terrific villa. The village of Panormos was a great hideaway from Tourist hoards; the beach was sandy and lovely. We enjoyed the local tavernas especially the fresh seafood offered. Thank you.
Great for active families
We travelled to Villa Liakada as a family of five and this villa suited us perfectly. As other reviewers have said, it's close to all local amenities and also a good jumping off point to get to other places in Crete. The Agni Travel team were very helpful in the run up to the holiday and when we encountered a small problem with the dishwasher (due to our inability to read the Greek instruction manual!) they got in touch with the owners quickly and the owners were onsite the next day to assist us. A lovely, peaceful villa and we had a fantastic week whizzing between pool and beach.
The only caveat I would add to the above was that building work started on the plot next door on our very last day and the noise was a bit annoying as we were by the pool that day. It didn't impact our holiday, but worth being aware of for future.
Crete, an island renowned for its natural beauty and diverse landscapes, speckled with mountain ranges and dotted with caves. The most dramatic features though are the spectacular gorges that cut through the mountains and spill out to sea. The rugged interior is interspersed with vast plateaus and fertile plains. The east boasts Europe's only palm-tree forest beach and the south coast has some of the most stunning beaches and isolated coves.
There are many ways to enjoy Crete. For the more adventurous there are the gorges and mountains to explore. Orgainised excursions include trekking, caving, mountaineering, cycling, climbing and hiking. Those enjoying walking will enjoy the coastal walks along the South coast.
The almost guaranteed summer sunshine (on average Crete has more sunny days that any other Greek island) makes Crete the perfect destination for a beach and pool focused holiday. Hundreds of sandy beaches - some almost deserted even during the peak summer months - are a prefect retreat from the rigours of city life.
For those looking for a little more excitement, there are the gorges and mountains to explore. Adventures include: trekking, caving, mountaineering, cycling, climbing and hiking. Those enjoying walking will find the (well mapped) coastal walks along the South coast, a delightful.
