Property was excellent. We were 5 guys with our own bedrooms (4 en-suite) The pool was fantastic and plenty big enough to do small lengths !!! The house is very quiet and about a 3 minute drive to the local town of Most na Soci. Ideal if you want a Get-away from it all holiday !BUT with the option of doing more if needed !!
The house is just perfect! The views were so beautiful, location very peaceful. Can't wait until next summer when we can go back!
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Bella. Blaz the host/manager was very welcoming and provided exceptional service throughout our stay. He was at our call 24/7 with any queries we had about the villa and local area. The villa is stunning and beautifully unique with panoramic views and positioned in a quite rural setting however with easy access to all amenities such as supermarket, atm etc. We loved the local area for hiking and adventure based activities, as well as being a relaxing retreat. Weather wasn't conducive to using the pool however one of my boys took a plunge each day after using the sauna. The villa itself is like a country manor house, beautifully restored and filled with antique furniture in keeping with its heritage however providing modern amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms. Wonderful stay and and highly recommend. Thanks for all you help Blaz.
a group of five friends who all spent the summer working hard, we were in search of a post summer chill-cation where we could all take a well deserved break, and that's certainly what we had staying in the villa!
Having flown into Italy to be greeted with slightly less than ideal weather, confusing directions and to then have a small encounter with the Italian police... Our holiday spirits were beginning to dampen,.. Only to be immediately lifted as we drove down the drive way and found our home for the next ten days!
Despite the grey sky's, the villa and it's surroundings were still stunning, we couldn't believe the setting, it was so perfectly nestled in the hill, we were immediately in our own little holiday bubble!
On entering the house we were all made up with how quirky and yet cozy and welcoming it was, bundles of blankets, framed family pictures, shelves full of books and cute little paintings adorning the walls, made it feel more like a family home that you could be comfortable in as opposed to a sterile, untouchable environment all to common in a lot of holiday homes these days,
But where to begin? Naturally the First port off call was to a sign bedrooms....All of the bedrooms were good sizes, clean with towels and lining, plenty of storage and beds which where impossibly comfortable! It was a good job we hadn't gone there with the intention of rising early each day as that was just not going to happen in these luxurious settings!
And then there was the bathrooms! Each bedroom had its own which meant no queuing for the shower in the morning, which is always a bonus! Plus His and her sinks, Jacuzzi bath and heated flooring?! Need I say any more?! Just perfect!
The top floor living/ dinning/ kitchen was a lovely place to relax in, with the most spectacular view of the Julian alps, and a cute balcony in which to enjoy it from!
Having it all together upstairs meant we were all able to socialise together in the evening, regardless to who was in charge of that evening meal and the very short walk to the sublimely comfortable sofa after a said meal was defiantly a plus!
We never used the kitchen/dinning room on the ground floor simply because we had everything we needed upstairs, but we can fully appreciate it's appeal for larger groups of guests, and having the second fridge certainly came in handy for storing all the beer!
The pool area was possibly the main attraction for everyone in the group, and although we arrived in the rain,
Family of 6 stayed here for 2 weeks, summer 2013, and we can't wait to return. It was such a comfortable, beautifully appointed and well equipped villa which was perfect for what we wanted from our holiday; peace and tranquillity with the option of lazy days by the pool mixed with adventures in the surrounding areas. While secluded, we didn't feel isolated; the pretty town of Most na Soci being only 5 mins drive away. Please try to drag yourselves away from the villa; Slovenia is beautiful, the roads are quiet and there is plenty to do for adventurous types. Our highlights included swimming in the nearby Idrijca river (the Soca is too cold), kayaking on the Soca, jumping off Most na Soci bridge and collecting wood for evening bbq's back at the villa as the sun went down. Other highlights included Skocjan caves and Tolmin gorge, all definitely worth visiting. As keen walkers back in England we were hoping to do some hiking but this happened on just one evening as it was too hot during the day ( I think we were there during a heatwave), however this was a lovely walk from the villa made special by hundreds of fireflies which became apparent as the darkness drew in- very magical! I can't recommend the villa enough, the owners are friendly and helpful, the views spectacular, and it was so beautiful that all in all I'm quite hoping no-one reads this....
Villa Bella sits high on a plateau surrounded by woodland. There are panoramic views of the distant Julian Alps and the turquoise waters of the Soca river. The house is set at the end of a long driveway and is peaceful and private yet only 2 kilometres from Most na Soci with its small supermarket, pharmacy, butcher, petrol station, cafés and restaurants.
