8 Bedroom Manor House Accommodating Up To 25 Guests.
Why Lesley Kirk chose Saint Issey
The Manor House was the one property that felt right; it is warm and friendly and craves to be full of people having a great time!
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
The Manor House appealed to us as it is also provides Adventurous Outdoor Activities to the residential groups (if required) and also to locals and holiday makers in the area. You could choose to add to your family holiday a selection of outdoor activities from Sea Cliff Climbing to Kayaking, Surfing or the new Stand Up Paddle boarding - just ask Lesley for details.

Perfect for a group getaway
We had a lovely new year break at St Issey with 21 adults and a toddler. It's a beautiful building with very cosy and well-maintained communal areas (kitchen/diner, sitting room and dining room) - and the hot tub is a great bonus. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and functional, though don't expect the height of luxury. And it's a fantastic location near some great scenery. Lesley and the team were very good to deal with. Overall strongly recommended.
The house is in a great location with a lovely bright and spacious garden.
The ground floor accommodation is very spacious and well equipped. The sleeping accommodation lends itself more like a hostel with mainly bunk beds and twin beds . The bedding is rather tatty and in need of replacing. Some of the bathrooms have been updated but there are others that require further modernisation.
The description and photos on the Web Site are accurate regarding the bedrooms, however if you'd like a bedroom list prior to booking please don't hesitate to ask or call and have a chat in more detail about the specific rooms. New Bedding has been ordered and will be available for our next guests. Another of the bathrooms is due for a makeover this winter, leaving just one more to be looked at in the Spring!
Fantastic large family get away!
The Manor House was brilliant for our large family group. There were 15 of us ranging from age 8 to 70 and we all had a wonderful week away, despite some horrid weather! The house is plenty big enough to be able to have some space, and the older kids loved the hot tub! We were able to cook meals as the kitchen was really well equipped and ample storage and fridge space. The only thing missing for us was a tumble drier. We spent our time on the beach and needed to dry lots of towels so that would have been really handy. Having said that, the aga did a really good job of airing things! We had a problem with the oven one evening which was resolved straight away, which is exactly what you want. The beds were all very comfy, even for me being 7 months pregnant! And everything was clean and in working order. The location of the house was great too, really easy to get to lots of great beaches and towns. We at 2 pubs in the village the ring o bells and pickwick inn. Both were lovely. Our caretaker for the week was really helpful and not intrusive with her daily visits. We'd happily spend another holiday at the Manor House!
Thank you for your review - it is appreciated! We have thought about the tumble dryer but with space at a premium we'll have to wait for the washer to die and install a washer/dryer. But as you say the Aga is great for drying all sorts of things! We would welcome the group back to the Manor House!
A fantastic family or group accomodationn
August '14 We stayed as a multi-family group of 10 adults +3 under 3years. We found the location, facilities all excellent. A a family base/home its offers very flexible options re-bedroom and bathroom arrangements. The kitchen/dining area was more than adequate for our needs with another more formal dining room available. I had misjudged the hot tub as being likely to be hardly used. How wrong was I! Straight back from the beach, or cycling (Camel Trail), it was used, every day, by everyone to relax, showers or sunny evenings!
5 cars, no problem parking.
Location for nearby Padstow excellent. Very short walk to excellent village pub (vg meals at reasonable prices) Booking and communication all easy and further enquiries promptly.
Shopping at large local supermarket.
The I can strongly recommend Manor House to family groups.
As an ex outward bounds teacher, I was frustrated to see all of the onsite equipment but we were not (insured) allowed to use it. As a self-catering centre it would be a brilliant base for both adults and children
Thank you for your review Greg!
We are now able to offer prearranged activity sessions with our professional Instructor Team and these include Surfing, Body Boarding, Stand Up paddleboarding, Kayaking, Sea Cliff Climbing and Abseiling! We also have Masseuse who work for us, who can come to the house to offer a 'Spa Pampering' Experience!
Greg you'll have to come back and try some! :)
