Welcome to Trasimeno

Podere Pescia is a recently restored farmhouse of the early 19th century. It is divided into four fully fitted housing units with antique furniture and several furnishing elements and decorations.

They all have an independent entrance and a private outdoor space.

Podere Pescia is located in the Umbria region between Lake Trasimeno and Tuscany, where the countryside is slightly hilly, with a splendid view on Lake Trasimeno and the surrounding medieval villages: Castiglione del Lago, Paciano, Panicale and Cortona.

Sings of ancient times are visible in the stone and brick masonry, in the pigeon turret and in the small bell tower embellishing the farmhouse precincts.

Flats are extremely comfortable with terracotta floors, wooden trusses on the ceiling, a fireplace and antique furniture charming the guests’ eyes with the signs of a glorious past for them to enjoy their holidays in a relaxing and exclusive atmosphere.

The Loggia flat (2+1) is a studio measuring 30 square metres on the first floor, with a view on Lake Trasimeno and an independent entrance.Loggia to sit outside,kitchenette,landing,bathroom,king size bedroom.

The CASETTA flat (2+1)is a 37 sq.m. two-roomer arranged in two levels, with an independent entrance and a lake view.

It offers a wonderful view on the lake and the surrounding Tuscany and Umbria hills. An added plus: a private garden for guests to eat outside.

Ground floor: a sitting room with a convertible sofa (or 'davenport” for our US guests) and a fully furnished kitchen.

On level one: a king-size bedroom, a bathroom with shower and an ante-bathroom.

The 'Old England' flat (2+2) measures 54 square metres and fully extends on the ground floor.

It includes: a very large sitting room with a fireplace, embellished by antique furniture, objects of art and a collection of old sewing machines,

a king-size convertible sofa, a fully furnished kitchen, a king-size bedroom and a bathroom with shower, a small private garden for guests to eat outside and an independent entrance.

Staropolska flat (4+2)measures 94 square metres and is arranged in two levels with an independent entrance, a private garden and a lake view.

Ground floor: a highly comfortable sitting room with a sofa, and a kitchen.

On level one: a king-size bedroom with a convertible bed ('davenport” for our US guests) and a bathroom with shower, a second bedroom to be arranged with either two beds or a king-size bed, a bathroom with shower, and a splendid view on the lake and the ancient villages

STUNNING!

We have travelled to various parts of Italy over the past seven years and this was by far the best in terms of location, accommodation and Giancarlo, who was the most charming and helpful host.

The property, both inside and out was extremely well maintained and the gardens and pool were idyllic. The location was superb and was within easy reach of all the main towns of interest. , Castiglione was a short drive away and had plenty of restaurants and bars, all offering excellent value for money, service, delicious food and wine.

Giancarlo was amazing. He never stopped working around the gardens but always had time to help us and advice us on places of interest. We will be recommending Podere Pescia to all our friends and relatives and can't wait to return with our family. Thank you Giancarlo

Owner's Response: After working so long to well maintain the house and the garden it is a great pleasure to have the appreciation of our guests.We give them before the arrival and almost daily advices on places of interests which are not only historical towns but unknown villages,markets,antique markets,village fairs etc.We are of the opinion that a few weeks after the holiday is finished they will not remember many churches or monument but persons or a shop , restaurant , market or how they discovered a little convent will be part of their memories. Peaceful setting

The property is a lovely converted farm house set in peaceful surroundings but within easy reach of plenty of places of interest. We had a lovely week and were made very welcome

Angenehmes Wohnen und guter Ausgangspunkt

Wir haben mit Vergnügen zwölf Tage im Appartment "Old England" verbracht. Das Appartment liegt in einem schönen Garten mit Schwimmbad, ist sehr gepflegt, sauber und mit vielen Sammlerstücken dekoriert. Das Bett ist ebenfalls eine Antiquität, aber sehr bequem! Podere Pescia ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für das Erkunden und Kennenlernen von Umbrien und der Toskana; der Besitzer Giancarlo hält viele Empfehlungen für Unternehmungen/Besichtigungen/Museumsbesuche bereit. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt, Grazie!

Sehr schöne Anlage in zentraler Lage

Wir waren für 14 Tage bei Giancarlo zu Gast, sehr netter und zuvorkommende Gastgeber, sehr schöne Anlage mit tollem Pool, tolle Wohnung mit guter Ausstattung. Sehr sauber schön eingerichtet. Exzellente Lage, nur circa 2-3 km vom Ort entfernt, sehr zentral, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten von Umbrien und der angrenzenden Toskana in unmittelbarer Nähe und gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder. Einziger Nachteil ist - wie sehr oft in Italien - das mangelhafte WLAN, mit dem es nicht gelingt, Dinge up- oder downzuloaden.

wunderschöne Anlage

Die Anlage Podere Pescia ist liebevoll angelegt und supergepflegt. Der Besitzer gibt sehr gute Tipps für Ausflüge und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt am Trasimenischen See.

Idyllisch verblijf

Prachtig verblijf met een zeer vriendelijke eigenaar, die gek is op antiek en zo de appartementen ook heeft ingericht. Vraag hem eens naar het meest bijzondere boek dat hij heeft.

Rustig en centraal gelegen om plaatsje in de omgeving te bezoeken, en per trein bv. naar Florence en Rome. Ook naar de andere kant van het meer van Trasimeno is bij goed weer erg mooi.

Wel jammer dat het zwembad in mei nog niet open was, en de wifi kan beter, maar zeker een adres om nog eens terug te komen.
