Fantastic Family Holiday

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful castle, immaculate and unique! We traveled as a family of 13 with ages ranging from 70 to 9 years old. We stayed for 6 nights and took advantage of the easy bus ride to Florence and Fiesole. The nearby town of Antella had an amazing bakery, gelato, pizza and a true local flavor. We spent several evenings in the park downtown, sipping wine and soaking it in. The courtyards and many eating nooks provided our family with plenty of places to enjoy our meals at home too and the pool was a great way to cool off and relax after a lot of walking adventures.

Fabulous, outstanding property, close to Florence

  • 4 of 5

We absolutely loved the Watchtower - It is a stunning property, very spacious and with all amenities. Additionally, it is decorated with many interesting artifacts from around the world. For our group of 8, with 2 couples and 4 singles each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped. There are 4 courtyards and beautiful grounds with swimming pool. It is walking distance to restaurants and to a larger town. It is about a 9 minute drive from Florence and very close to Siena, and in Chianti country. The owner, whom lives on the property was very gracious, accommodating, and helpful. I cannot recommend this property enough - It is absolutely fabulous!

Tower of Dreams!

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough about how beautiful this house is. You will be in heaven with frescoes from the 12th century and modernist interior design! It is a winning combination. Plus Camilla and Jane are absolutely incredible. They will make your stay seamless and easy. They are generous and kind: bringing fruit from the garden and stopping by to make sure that everything is perfect. The house is located about 5 minutes (by car) from a small town called Antella where you can pick-up supplies. It is also about 5 minutes (by foot) from the town of Bagno a Ripoli. You can reach Florence by bus (35 minutes by bus). It is a fantastic location as you are close to everything you need and want and yet far enough to enjoy the Tuscan countryside. We left inspired and hoping that one day we will be back again.

We didnt have a straight forward journey to the house but were given a warm welcome and felt relaxed right away. The grounds and gardens are lovely with plenty of space for our children to explore and take in the italian air. The gardens are well maintained and producing lots of fruit and herbs. The pool is fantastic and we spent some time there, we felt so at home there that the day would slip away before we managed to see some of the local villages and florence. My lasting memories are of a really relaxing family time together which everyone loved.

We had 7 fantastic days at the Watchtower and had the best vacation ever. The house, the pool and the outside areas were perfect, idyllic and beautiful. Our host, Jane was most kind and helpfull at all times and we felt very welcomed and got the very best service. Thanks. We give our highest recommendations. Best wishes from a Danish family of 15

Great June Stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this property (both the Watchtower and villa) the third week of June and it was a great experience. Centrally located with easy access to Florence and the Tuscan region. With awesome grounds and a beautiful residence we had no complaints and the 7 of us enjoyed the unit greatly. The restaurants recommended by the book left by the owner were very good and having some sports equipment for the kids was nice as well.
