Beautiful Lodge

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 absolutely loved our stay. The lodge was very clean with a well-stocked kitchen, lovely bedrooms, and unbeatable views. Entry instructions were very easy. We appreciated the amazing location, within easy driving distance of much we wanted to see. We would highly recommend this VRBO!

Snaefellsness Beauty

  • 5 of 5

This place was great! It is located in such a beautiful, serene location. We sat and watched the Northern Lights for 2 hours over the mountain in the back. It was amazing! We had everything we needed to cook and the house was immaculate! The stairs were a bit of a challenge, but we knew that going in. We just left our suitcases downstairs and brought up stairs the clothes we needed to change into for the day or night. It was very easy. We had mountains in the backyard and the ocean in the front....who could ask for anything better?! We wished the cabin had wifi, but we did have it in our car, so if we needed to use it, we just went and sat in the car. The house was very clean and comfortable. I wish we would've had more time to relax and get to know the area better....like hike around the mountains. But with so much to see and do in Iceland, it is kind of hard to let yourself just hang out at your cabin! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling the Snaefellsness Peninsula. It was close to many attractions on the Peninsula, yet quite and secluded at the same time. We would definitely stay here again!!

Excellent place to stay when visiting the Snaefellsness area. Super clean, modern property with fantastic views. Having a good restaurant within walking distance was a bonus!

Adorable Home in a Spectacular Location

  • 4 of 5

We were a group of 6 people, but the house didn't feel overly crowded. It's one of a group of aesthetically pleasing houses (all black with white trim) at the top of Hellnar, with spectacular views of the mountains behind and the sea below. The only things we would have appreciated would be wifi and soap/shampoo in the bathroom. It's also worth noting that there is a very steep 'staggered' staircase, so the house wouldn't be well suited for guests with small children or with limited mobility (bathroom is downstairs, while beds are upstairs). Other than that, the house is reasonably equipped and very cozy.

Please note: The shape of the lodge is such that it is necessary for the stairs between the two levels to ascend/descend steeply with a split step design. It is therefore not suitable for those with low levels of mobility or very young children.
