Great stay. The only complaint would be some of the blinds would not close and there was trouble with the elevator at times. Honestly though we really enjoyed our stay.

The location is perfect, the condo is a little dated.
The location is perfect, but the condo is a little dated. The air conditioning makes a noise of hell, we had trouble sleeping. The blinds in one of the bedrooms and living room were not working well, so it was either too bright (night) or too dark (daytime): it would not cost too much to change and it would make all the difference . Odd odors in the lobby and in the elevators of the building, but renovations were underway which probably explains this strange smell. The pools had a strange color on arrival (green and fuzzy), but the problem was quickly solved. Superb ocean view, on the photos of the condo I thought the blacon was corner (so bigger), but no. The condo includes everything necessary to be functional during a week. Special mention to the living room couches which were very comfortable. The beach is beautiful and directly accessible by the condo. Cleanliness of the outdoor places very well. We had a nice stay (we were 6: 4 adults and 2 kids).
Thank you for taking the time to review you stay and thanks for letting me know about the blinds as I can correct that without a problem as no one has ever mentioned it before. As for the air conditioning, it is serviced 3 times per year and in that small of a space you can hear them though no one has ever expressed they could not sleep. This unit will be getting a new kitchen this fall and bathrooms the following fall. Our lobby is undergoing some renovations to repair leaking pipes and install air conditioning all of which was supposed to be done prior to the end of May before the busy rental season but we encountered one setback after another mostly at the hands of the city and obtaining permits and inspections. The balconies on end units is smaller than interior units by about 8 foot. It is hard to tell from the photos other than the fact that there is one sliding door to balcony from living room instead of two, one from living room and one from the master. We offer a variety of units in the building ranging from never remodeled and partially remodeled to totally remodeled so if you ever decide to visit us again I can provide you with information on some of the more "modernized" condos. Property fine, experience bad
Let me start by saying that the property itself is fine. Nice patio, compact but well-used space. Kitchen is well-equipped, beds were comfortable. Good shower pressure, etc. We had a good time on a family vacation for the weekend.
Good experience was ruined upon checkout when we emailed to let them know there was no laundry bag there (was was instructed in the check-out process) to put our linens in. He said fine, leave everything near washer dryer. After we checked out, he emailed to accuse me of stealing the laundry bag. Sorry, but I have no desire to keep a dirty old laundry bag when I’m capable of buying one myself. This was a new level of pettiness.
He also complained that we’d moved the glass coffee table a few feet out of the center of the room (we felt it was not safe since it was a loose glass top, and put it out of harms way. God forbid!) and left literally three clean dishes out to dry because there were no more clean towels to wipe them with. He also criticized the fact that we put a couple of pillow shams in the laundry, that we had most definitely slept on, so I would t necessarily expect clean linens here.
I’ve travelled around the world staying in peoples apartments and have never ONCE had any kind of complaint from a single person, so this has been a first for me. I plan on letting VRBO that I was accused of stealing a laundry bag and also that the property did not include a grill as advertised, in addition to the fact that despite there being a no-smoking policy, we had weed smoke wafting into our unit at 8 am and there were cigarette burns in the carpet. Classy.
Could have had repeat guests but instead accused us of petty theft and will likely try to nickel and dime us for our deposit money. I wouldn’t bother staying here.
To future renters, read our reviews for this property or some of our other VRBO properties such as 583609, 683540, 988634, 1278821, or 1281478 to name a few.
A common thread throughout the reviews is that guests had a very positive experience and if there was an issue with the unit or any sort of question it was answered or taken care of promptly.
In this instance I suspect that "disgruntled guest" may have never stayed in a rent by owner property and was not accustomed to the process and did not bother to read the 5 page information packet.

Thank you for sharing your experience. While we have a couple hundred total reviews we now have 2 that are less than flattering both the result of guests not following the guidelines set forth in the information packet.
Sorry you felt that the questions regarding the dishes left in sink, towel bar off wall, moved furniture, the missing laundry bag, the keys not returned to lock box, the parking passes not being returned ruined your experience. I won't mention that you returned and argued with the cleaning staff, well maybe I will mention it.
Also, the grill area is being refurbished as the decking was rotting away causing a safety hazard, it is not practical to change the description for every listing if an amenity if offline for 7-14 days for a repair.
Also, his is not a smoke free building, you were in a smoke free condo. Also, since this unit has all hardwood floors which can be seen in the photos, I'm not sure what carpet has burn holes in it.
In both cases I believe it is possible the guest had never stayed in a rent by owner type property where you are expected to provide your own paper products, return keys, report any issues, and follow procedures, because this is not a hotel or a resort, this is someone’s 2nd home.
After over 250 reservations in the past 5 years you will be the 2nd guest to have a portion of their security deposit retained, not because of the towel bar you knocked off the wall because that could have been a preexisting condition, but because you did not return the keys to the lock box and when the next guest showed up there were no keys. Fortunately for you the guest prior to you left keys and your access was not delayed.

My family and I very much enjoyed the unit we stayed in. It was obviously well loved and cared for, clean and quiet and it did have a great view. The N Myrtle location was excellent. My only complaint is that the indoor pool was not heated as advertised. We will book again....
Thank you for your review of the property and actually a sign should have been posted, the pool is actually heated but a part was on order and it arrived Saturday...so the pool will soon be heated once again, unfortunately to late for your stay. Have a great summer...
This condo was very clean and it was very nice. Loved the views. We also loved the fact it was a lock condo building. Like the access to the luggage buggies and carts. The whole building was so clean and nice. Will plan to stay again.
