Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday apartment in Saint Andrews

3 bedrooms, living/dining room, kitchen, shower room.

The property is over 70 years old and situated in one of the main streets of the town near the ruins of the ancient cathedral. The flat is on the 3rd (top) floor with a quiet private walled garden. We have a double bedroom, a twin bedded room a single room and a long hallway all with fitted carpets. The large living room also has a dining table and chairs. A Sony TV and DVD player and WIFI are provided. Bed linen and towels are also provided along with a fresh set for a change during your stay.

The kitchen and shower room are compact (reflecting the age and style of the property) but they are well equipped with modern gas cooker, fridge freezer and kitchen utensils and everything needed for self catering. We have just installed a new shower room.

The flat has full central heating.

Fantastic Flat

My father, my son and I took a three-generation golf trip to Scotland and spent a week in this flat in St. Andrews. The flat was in a terrific location, close to restaurants, shops, pubs, terrific gelato, etc. We were just up the street from the cathedral ruins, and it took us only 10 minutes to walk to the Old Course and British Golf Museum. The flat was comfortable, roomy, and met all of our needs. Jim was very helpful with parking and dining recommendations. A great experience.

Great flat and base for exploring St Andrews and beyond!

We spent a really pleasant week at Jim's flat. The flat was furnished as described (and the kitchen and shower room were bigger than we expected) and the location can't be beat. We enjoyed visiting all the sights in the town (and introducing our sons to our old haunts!) as well as exploring Kirkcaldy, where my husband's Mum is from, and Edinburgh on day trips.

Fantastic experience

We altered our travel plans Several times, changing strategies and dates at the last minute. Jim patiently responded to multiple inquiries, answered our emails quickly, and made our stay in St. Andrews work for us. We had a few apprehensions about renting this place. For one, it was very last minute and there was not a lot available. Although the photo of the view from the apartment is lovely, we wondered why he didn't post a photo of his own building and worried that this would be one of those "in town" apartments which required a 30-minute walk for a cup of coffee. To say we were pleasantly surprised is a vast understatement. We loved this place for many reasons. For one thing, we were directly in the center of this quaint town, with coffee, restaurants, ice cream, shops all at our feet. We worried it might be noisy at night, but that was never a problem. (Seagulls, on the other hand, had quite a lot to say!) At the same time, the castle, cathedral ruins, famous golf courses, beaches, university, etc. were truly a short walk away. The buses were easy.to navigate as well. We hiked the Fife Coastal Path several times, taking a bus to various small towns along the pathway to get different scenic views -- one of the best things we did in Scotland!

The apartment itself fit our family of four perfectly. Bedrooms were great. Our 11 year old daughter loved sleeping in the cozy loft room and made good use of the desk in there as well. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. Thankful for the washing machine too. The living/dining room space was big and very comfortable. WiFi worked great. All around very positive experience. We are not golfers but found so much else to love about St. Andrews!! The apartment is on the top floor (which we loved), so there are a couple of flights of stairs to navigate.

Perfect location

This flat is in the perfect location to explore St. Andrews and surrounding areas. We stayed here for two weeks and were very sad to leave. The flat was spacious, comfortable and we wanted for nothing. The owners are prompt in their communication and very friendly. Highly recommend this flat for anyone visiting the area. We have two small boys and it worked perfectly for our family.
