Country Living on 26-Acre Suburban Farm / Leesburg Zip Code & Ashburn Location
About Lauren Norkin
In 2006, Doug and Lauren Norkin purchased this property as their dream farm where they ran a private member-based dog park for seven years. Due to job transfer, they now live in Ellicott City, MD so are now able to share their lovely estate with you!

Why Lauren Norkin chose Leesburg
Our farm is in the middle of it all. We are close to everything in Northern Virginia. Looking out our front door, all you see is country, but you are only 2 miles from the conveniences of Brambleton Town Center in Ashburn, the largest suburban development on the East Coast!

Spacious and well equipped place
Had a great time. The listing is accurate. If you go, just make sure NOT to use Google maps. It calls the address by an old name (Canine Country Club) and misses the entrance. Use the direction provided by the owner. We didn't initially and wasted a small amount of time.
Quiet and peaceful retreat
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful farmhouse! The house has sooo many amenities and resources for a group to enjoy themselves.Lauren the owner is so very responsive and available to assist in any way.
Only drawback for us with kids is the quiet time after 11:00PM to avoid disturbing the caretaker who live in the basement (reasonable expectation but difficult to always manage with kids on vacation or even adults wanting to hang out late on vacation, especially when we are lucky to have a house secluded and which doesn’t appear to have close neighbors)
Nevertheless like I mentioned above it’s a reasonable expectation and just have to be managed well by the guests.
Overall great experience and beautiful house in such peaceful surroundings.
Would definitely come back 😊
Thank you for your 5-star review!
The mention of quiet hours and the noise is, however, a bit misleading. As I describe in my listing, a normal family acting normally would not violate quiet hours. We, ourselves, lived in the house with three obnoxious dogs, a toddler, and our loud feet. Despite the fact that we never tried to be quiet, nonetheless, no tenant ever made complaint against us in the decade we lived there!
This guest actually caused a noise disturbance at 4:00 a.m. after being out visiting friends, which is why we needed to reach out to her regarding noise.
Beautiful property, great location
This was the perfect place for our family from around the country to gather for our daughter’s wedding. Close to the airport was great for the frequent pickup & drop off runs. Every room was very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Lauren was a most gracious and hospitable host and anticipated all our needs. We slept 10 adults very comfortably. Would definitely recommend and will come here again if we another family occasion comes up in the area.
Thank you, Jeff! We were so happy to have you!
Great Country Home for a Family Get-Together
We had a wonderful family weekend at the Leesburg/Ashburn house. We had 7 adults and 2 toddlers in our party. The house is set up very well for a family gathering. Everyone had plenty of room. The kitchen and butler's pantry are set up well for preparing large meals, and we found everything we needed to make ourselves quite at home. The location of the house is close to many wineries, restaurants, and outdoor activities for families. Lauren was very helpful and provided lots of information to make our long weekend really comfortable.
Superb reunion home
Well located, spacious, homey. Three friends visited Northern Virginia for a Civil War site tour. The house is centrally located for Gettysburg, Antietam, Manassas, Fredericksburg, Richmond, Petersburg. Perfect location. Large and spacious, well suited for families. Would be happy to stay there again.
Wonderful family vacation!
Lauren was wonderful to work with and she answered all my silly questions. We were in the area for our son's wedding and Lauren was incredibly helpful and accommodating to our group. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook for a group of 12 people and there is plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and truly enjoy their space. The bedrooms are a good size the and King/Master suite is huge! The location is perfect and just a short distance to a variety of shopping and the city! the weather was not very cooperative and I wish we could have enjoyed the yard more than we did. There is plenty of space for kids to run around and we enjoyed the fireflies at night. I hope there is a reason for us to stay again! Thank you Lauren for everything.
