Good location, safe, clean and friendly
We had a wonderful time while staying here. Sheila took very good care of us and the apartment. Short walk to small beach that you can get to others from. Short walks to store, restaurants, and busses.
Very comfortable accommodations
Great apartment, very spacious. Could use newer pots, pans and wine glasses. The walk to beach or store involves a long climb. Quite bothersome and noisy are two dogs across the street and roosters at all times day and night. Now for the good stuff - Sheila and Gayle were very helpful and attentive to all our needs, from the time we arrived to when we left, Jan 3 - Feb 28. Dealing with David was great; from the time of booking until we left, ensuring we were happy. We throughly enjoyed our stay in Barbados
Dear Melinda & Claude,
Thank so much for your positive review and for giving a 5 - Star rating.
I strive to provide the best experience I can and act on each and every review which may also mention aspects of my apartment units that may be in need of improving, of which is always swiftly addressed if needed.
Very positve feedback was also received about your group from both Sheila & Gail - and for that I sincerely thank you again for looking after my holiday home with so much care and attention.
We hope that we may have the opportunity to accommodate you in the ‘not too distant’ future.
Very best of regards,
A home from home.
Staying at Claraville is always a pleasure, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and being in the heart of Fitts Village gives you a real Bajan experience. Sheila and Gayle looked after us really well as usual making us feel very much a part of the family. Thank you all.
Perfect for our needs
My husband and I stayed at Clareville Apartment in May 15. It was lovely and quiet and perfect for what we wanted as a base on the west coast of barbados.
We spent most of our time out and about but always felt safe walking back to the apartment late at night.
I would recommend the apartment to family and friends.
We booked this apartment via David in the UK for a family holiday (2 adults & 1 child of 2 years) & stayed for 15 nights at the property run by Sheila. What can I say other than We could not ask for much better. All the amenities are good and Sheila and Gail are very attentive to your needs in Barbados, just give them a call if you need anything. Everything you need is within reach, beautiful beaches local supermarket and pharmacy, and more importantly beautiful people, but I'm biased as my Mum is Bajan. If you're looking for the real deal in regards to "feeling" the Barbados culture this is it. We also frequented the local food at Big Mango Restaurant and Nancy's Bar near paynes beach (ask a local) and they give the mainstream restaurants a run for their money like Sharkeys and Just Grillin.
Excellent value for money and I am already planning my next stay. Big thanks to David, Sheila & Gail for making our holiday Fabulous! !
It is always so very comforting for us to know that our guests thoroughly enjoy their stay at the Claraville Apartments.
We too apprcieiated with way in how you and your family took great care of the apartment and as a result we would sincerely love to welcome you and family back to stay with us again in the not so distant future.
Best regards to you & family,
Super, spacious, airy flat. This is for upstairs.
This is upstairs. This is a lovely house, well decorated, well equipped (could do with some more glasses though) and comfortable. With 3 rooms (2 twin and 1 double) and 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite) it would be easy to share with others, so 6 people could cope here together.
There is a large kitchen, off which is a sun terrace (needs a parasol or some sort of shade) which you could have breakfast or supper on. No flying biting things, just space and quiet.
Meanwhile your friends/kids could be on the front terrace or at the beach.
So the beach ... there is a wee hill down to the beach and it cannot be avoided. It take 6 minutes max to walk down and slip over the road to the beach. There are better beaches for small children so hire a car (they drive on the left) if you want something easier.
From there you can also get a bus to Bridgetown for Holetown, either is good but different from each other. The local supermarket is ok but not great, so get your first big shop at a Carlton store.
We were met there by Sheila who was very friendly and helpful. We also met Gayle and Kodi (he is only 3 I think) and it was such a nice family feeling. It is also very good to have a local contact to call.
All in all we would stay here again and share with friends.
The nightly rates shown above are based on a minimum of three people sharing. ****We require a £250 deposit to secure all bookings. The balance is due 15 days prior to arrival (Subject to pre-booking notification)****
