Satisfactory, good value for price but be aware you are not in central San Sebastian.

Spacious but a little dated and well used with an eclectic mix of furnishings. The owner was extremely helpful with maps and advice. Once mastered, the bus was frequent and easy to use to get into the city. A car is not required but a kettle would have been useful! Some noise at night from surrounding flats but very quiet in the day. Shops and bars nearby but little English spoken.

Our stay in San Sebastian

We were a small traveling party, three total, and this apartment was perfect. With a bus stop right outside the apartment, we were able to go anywhere we needed to go in a short amount of time. The apartment was perfectly kept and the living room provided information about any tourist attraction we would have wanted to visit. The best part of our stay, however, was Oskar. He met us and provided us with enough information for us to have stayed a month and not been able to take in everything. He was always responsive if I had a question even about the simplest thing. We all enjoyed our stay in San Sebastian and the apartment.

Oskar’s apartement is a great location.

Oskar’s apartment is great, and had plenty space for four people. It is placed on the first floor in the building, but it is in fact six floors up, from street level, and you have a great view over the boat-harbour from the small balcony. Explanation: the building is placed on top of another building on one side, the entrance side is from a steep road leading up from the shore-side. The apartment has no air-condition, but we were there in some very hot days in July (about 35 C), and we had no problems with the heat. Just remember to close the shutters.

You can reach street level by elevator from inside the building, one stop - five floors, very convenient. Here you have a small square with a small bar/restaurant, and through a passageway under the next building there is another square with some more café’s and a small supermarket (Dia). From the first square there is bus-connection E9 directly (10 min.) to old town San Sebastian (Donostia). Oskar provides a bus-card (Oyster like), you will be wise to use, as it is almost half price. You can fill it up in a nearby kiosk.

The area Pasaia is nice and non-tourist, and there is a lot of small stores and cafes in the area. The traffic is light, the railroad on the other side of the harbour can be heard from the balcony, if you is very quiet. If you follow the road beneath the apartment to the east you will come to a small fishing port, where you can take a small boat (fare 0,70 e pp) to the other side of the small sound. Here you will find another small fishing village, with restaurants and bars. If you instead follow the road you will be heading out of the town on a promenade towards the sea-piers and the Atlantic ocean. At the end of the promenade there is stairs (a lot) leading up and past an old lighthouse and further to a foot-path that leads around the sea-cliffs.

San Sebastian is in itself a great location filled with restaurants and shopping, especially the old town and of course the beaches is worth the trip.

Oskar is very helpful and fluent in English. The Wi-fi is limited, but can be used to check mail and the web, but not for download or streaming, so no net-radio.

Overall we had a great time in Donostia, and we were especially glad to experience Pasaia.

Guter Ort für erlebnisreiche Tage in SanSebastian mit wertvollen Tips vom Vermieter

Die Ferienwohnung ist bestens geeignet, um von dort aus die Stadt San Sebastian und den Hafen von Pasaia zu erkunden.Eine hervorragende Busanbindung an die Stadt und die fußläufige Erreichbarkeit von Geschäften, Wanderwegen usw. macht die Wohnung zu einem günstigen Augangspunkt für alle, die die Stadt und Umgebung vielfältig erkunden wollen.

Sehr hilfreich waren auch die vielen Tips des Vermieters Oskar, der sich in sehr netter und persönlicher Weise um das Wohlergehen der Gäste kümmerte.

Die Wohnung ist insgesamt gut ausgestattet und großzügig, vor allem die 3 großen, hellen Schlafzimmer haben uns sehr zugesagt.

Insgesamt eine empfehlenswerte Adrese zu u.E. angemessenem Preis.

Très bon logement et très bon contact avec le propriétaire (très bon conseils pour visiter la région). Je vous recommande cette annonce si vous devez passer des vacances à San Sebastian, cadre super, commodités, ligne de bus au pied de l'appartement... L'appartement a été très bien (nous étions 5) et San Sebastian est magnifique... à revoir :-)

With the possibility of pleasant walks in the vicinity of the bay and get into the traditional fishing villages of San Pedro and San Juan with its houses of fishermen and their marine environment. Very near the center of San Sebastián and its beaches. With a service very convenient and efficient public transport in 12 minutes you reach the center of San Sebastián and its beaches, shops, museums and attractions.
