You won't find a better located or well appointed apartment in the Lakes. Modern and comfortable Buttermere is a delight which has everything, including some nice surprises that will make your holiday get off to a great start. We loved it and highly recommend it.

Lovely apartment

A lovely and well presented apartment ideally situated in Ambleside for a short walk to the town. We stayed for a week and this apartment provided the ideal location for us to explore the Lakes. Avril and Peter were very helpful in arranging our holiday and we would love to return one day!

Great place to stay

We stayed at this accommodation for a week in July. It was really impressive to discover how well Avril & Peter have set up this accommodation. Everything one needs is there. It was good to find that there was a lighter duvet available than the one already on the bed as it was brilliant warm weather for our stay. Also, we were pleased to find a washing machine and dryer for the towels mid week. Besides being a great place to stay it is really well located close to the heart of Ambleside but out of the tourist area.

Great location and clean apartment.

This is the third time I have stayed here. It is in a fantastic location and the apartment is really clean and has a well equipped kitchen if needed. A lovely welcome gift of biscuits and a bottle of wine, plus tea, coffee and pint of milk in fridge. You will not go wrong renting this apartment for your holiday in The Lakes.

Wonderful apartment

We have rented apartments and cottages for our holidays for 20 years, this is the best we have ever rented. Truly lovely apartment, with everything you could want, in a really good location 5 minutes walk into Ambleside centre. True it is uphill on the way back. We will definitely want to stay here on our next visit to the Lake District.
