Apartment Jungfrau, on the second floor of a modern chalet has a full glass front allowing great views of the mighty Eiger, the Schreckhorn as well as the Grindelwald glacier gorge. The apartment has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with twin beds. There are two bathrooms, one has a bath tub which doubles as a shower, the other a newly built shower and a very modern toilet.
The open plan living - dining room / kitchen is comfortable and modern. The kitchen is new. The big balcony has a table and chairs, so you can eat outside and optimally enjoy the views. Wireless internet and satellite TV/DVD are included. Covered parking is free. There are coin operated laundry facilities downstairs and the apartment has underfloor heating.
The chalet is ideally located at 500m from the train station in a very quiet cul-de-sac. It is a short walk up to the town centre and a short walk down to the Grindelwald Grund train station. There is a bus stop very near by also.
This apartment is an ideal starting point for summer hikes or winter skiing and it provides a warm home to come back to after a day of alpine adventures.
The location was in a quiet road a short walk from the bustle of the main street. Apartment was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Super balcony with great views. And the rain even held off for most of our trip! Would definitely recommend.
We really enjoyed staying in The Jungfrau apartment with our two small children. It is spacious, modern, clean and well equipped. The location was perfect for us - close to the centre, shops and some cable cars. The coffee machine in the apartment was a bonus! We would really recommend this apartment to anyone wanted to have relaxing time in Grindelwald.
Our family stayed for one week and enjoyed mostly great weather, so the afternoon shade available on our balcony was most welcome. The accommodation itself is spacious, well maintained and well appointed, with WiFi and English TV channels available too. Laundry facility downstairs is good and we were able to store mountain bikes in the ski room. Our days usually comprised breakfast on the sunny balcony followed by a trip on public transport (the Jungfraubahn 6 day pass is well worth it, there is a huge infrastructure in terms of railways, gondola lifts and buses in the local area) to get to our "day out", be it a mountain walk, a lakeside destination or a mountain bike descent. We did not use our car at all. Prices of everything in the area are a little steep but choose well at the local co-op and you can take the sting out of it.
A quick word on the mountain walks - if you've ascended Snowdon via the Pyg Track, you'll not meet anything as technically difficult in the area. There are one or two exposed bits but speaking as someone who doesn't do heights I'd say they're not much of a problem.
The only down-side to the area is the prevalence of organised groups of tourists. Pack like mentality can cause frustration in the small shopping precinct or on station platforms but ultimately, it's a minor niggle.
This is a fantastic, well organised, safe and enjoyable holiday destination and our Jasmine Jungfrau apartment was almost literally at the heart of it, 5 mins from the railway station, bus station and shops. As locations go, it's hard to fault.
A final thanks to Diarmuid, who managed our booking and checked in on us right at the start of the holiday. His enthusiasm for the area was evident by the quality and quantity of advice he gave and this made a material difference to our stay. Many thanks from my family!
This contemporary & pristine apartment is located in a quiet residential area convenient to restaurants & shopping area and is about a 7 minute walk from Grindelwald train station. It was very clean, the beds & pillows were comfortable and kitchen well-provisioned for cooking. It was easy to connect to the Wi-Fi, the signal was strong with strong speed. The balcony extends across the width of the apartment with beautiful and unobstructed views of the mountains.
The apartment was exactly as it is shown in the picture. The only negative was the interior was done with a lot of IKEA and low end appliances for a rental. It would have been nice to have a little better quality for this nice apartment. The apartment is under new ownership and maybe appliances will be upgraded over time.
The manager, Diarmund, was friendly and helped us out in anyway we needed from providing extra linens, a replacement coffee machine and helpful activity and hiking suggestions for nice and rainy days. It was Diarmind's personal touch, responsiveness to any questions we had prior to arrival and throughout our stay as well as his excellent overall communications and management that made our choice and our stay here an exceptionally great one.
We look forward to returning to the Jungfrau region and would rent again with he & his wife in one of the many apartments they manage in the region.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable condo with great view of the Eiger! Diarmuid was very helpful before and during our stay. Condo had every amenity. It was nice to have laundry available. It is a steep walk up to the train station!
Beautiful apartment that is spotless and well maintained. Every comfort imaginable. Very comfortable for four people to stay. I would highly recommend this apartment!
Grindelwald is set in the alpine heartland of Switzerland known as the Bernese Oberland. Dominated by the world famous Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains it boasts the country's highest density of dramatic scenery. The village is the stating point for hundreds of walking trails, mountain biking trails, paragliding, rafting and much more in the summer months and for its skiing and snowboarding during the winter months when it becomes a lively winter ski resort. Set beneath the towering peak of the Eiger you couldn't be in a more beautiful setting. Its nicknamed 'glacier village' for its proximity to two large seas of ice which are well worth a hike to during the summer months. The main street is packed with little restaurants, cafes and bars , all with terraces for you to take in the views. There is train station in town making it easily accessible from any part of Switzerland.
