A classic Swiss free-standing chalet, comfortable and tastefully decorated and located on the Terrassenweg, one of the sunniest areas of Grindelwald. It has uninterrupted views of the surrounding mountains and the glacier gorge.

Split between three floors, you enter Chalet Luftschloss on the middle floor. It has an open plan and features a fireplace, dining tabl, flat screen TV and cozy sofas. The kitchen is fully equipped with all amenities including microwave, oven, dishwasher, toaster, Nespresso machine and Fondue-set. This floor also features a bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Fabulous chalet with great view

The chalet was beautifully decorated throughout, had a fabulous view of the glacier opposite and was really well equipped. The chocolate on the beds on arrival was a nice touch. Thanks for a great stay

Beautiful Grindelwald

We are a family of four who stayed in Grindelwald for 6 nights. We had a wonderful stay in this charming chalet. The chalet was well stocked, quiet and comfortable. The view from the main floor and deck is spectacular! There is a glacier right in front of you. Diarmuid met us upon arrival and gave us an orientation to the area and many wonderful suggestions for things to do. We spent a day going to Jungfrau. It is truly an amazing experience. It is very expensive, but per Diarmuid's recommendation, we purchased a Jungfrau pass which allowed us to ride the trains and cable cars on other days as well. We had a great pizza dinner at Onkel Tom's and another great dinner at C und M. We highly recommend both places. Just a short walk from the chalet is a wonderful place, Cafe 3692, that is open for breakfast and lunch during the week, and dinner on weekends. We did 2 great hikes with beautiful views of the glaciers. We took a day trip to Bern, which was about an hour away and well worth a visit. Another great day trip is visiting Aare Gorge and the Giessbach Hotel and falls. Lunch on the terrace at the hotel is so scenic. The lake it overlooks is a beautiful blue. You can also walk along and behind the waterfall. We will always treasure our memories of this special chalet and hope to return again someday.

Great home in a beautiful location

Home was very well maintained and matched the description. Great view from the balcony. Great customer service from manager. We were given ideas of things to do, places to hike and which mountain passes we should consider purchasing. Very helpful. Gindelwald is about a 20 minute walk from the home so will need to drive to get groceries if needed. Impossible to park in town. Close enough to walk for dinner, etc. We would recommend this to friends and relatives!

Great, good value property with stunning views

The communal living space is excellent. Good space for small children. The property was very clean on arrival. The manager is very hospitalble and easy to deal with. Easy bus ride or drive into town. Overall great property. But the views seal the deal. Would stay again.

Tolles Chalet in grandioser Lage

Dieses Appartement ist sehr empfehlenswert. Die Lage ist zwar ausserhalb des Stadtkerns, jedoch zu Fuss (20Min.runter und 30 Min hoch) oder per Bus gut zu erreichen. Als Skifahrer ist man in 10 Min. gemütlich am Bodmi Lift / Bus, um dann mit der Bahn weiter zu fahren. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden (auch Fondue und Raclette Geräte), wenn man auf eine Kaffeemaschine verzichten kann. Ein Keramikfilter ist vorhanden, man kann sich seinen Kaffe klassisch aufbrühen. Wünschensert wäre im Keller eine Abstellmöglichkeit für die feuchten Skistiefel, besser eine Trocknungsanlage in der Waschküche. Insgesamt hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt, auch wenn ich auf dem steilen nicht gestreuten Weg zum Eingang gefallen bin und mir einen Mittelhandknochen angebrochen habe.

I am a qualified rafting and canyoning guide and worked mostly in rope access before setting up our business providing quality holiday homes to our international visitors.
About Kashi: My passport is Belgian and although I was born there, I have spent most of my life abroad. My parents instilled me with an unquenchable lust for travel and adventure. Since growing up in Nepal, I have lived and worked in the outdoors in Spain, Mexico, Nepal, Italy and Austria but decided to settle in this beautiful area. The last six years I have been employed as a photographer, hiking and snowshoeing guide, ski instructor, tour guide and event planner. Currently I am mostly a mom, the toughest and most rewarding job ever!
About Keanu: Born in Interlaken in 2008, I am a Swiss-born Belgian Paddy. I share my parents' love for water and I really like the Octonauts, diggers and my wolf Igor. I go crazy for cheddar cheese, and love to talk on skype.
