Admirably tucked away just a quick sidestep off the vibrant little shop-filled thoroughfare known as ‘Calle della Mandola��� (Street of the Almond) connecting Campo Santo Stefano and Campo Sant’ Angelo with the famous Rialto Bridge and district to the north and St. Mark’s Square and its myriad attractions to the south, Ca�� Rossini 1 is on the first floor of the property and offers air-conditioning throughout.
Sleeping four guests in fresh and uncluttered simplicity and named after the adjacent ‘Multisala Rossini’ complex (recently opened and handily housing a 3-screen cinema, bar, restaurant and supermarket for stocking up on supplies), Ca’ Rossini 1 features a white-beamed main open plan living/dining/kitchen area with a contemporary L-shaped sofa, a dining table seating six and a fully-fitted kitchen all decked out in subtle oyster colours liberally peppered with accents of hot mustard yellow.
The two comfy bedrooms are both en-suite, completely private and similarly arranged - one with a double bed and up-to-the-minute shower room bedecked in iridescent mosaic tiles to the rear of the main room, and the second sitting just to the side of the main room with a double bed and an equally modern en-suite shower room with extensive mosaic tiling and a washing machine.

Comfort, design and convenience combined - a great all-rounder of a property and a smart choice for those seeking out all Venice has to offer!
Moments on foot to some of Venice's finest attractions including the gorgeous Gothic Palazzo Fortuny (Museum of Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo - famous photographer, painter, stage and textile designer), the charming Scala Contarini del Bovolo (currently under renovation) and the Teatro La Fenice, and within a few minutes of two vaporetto (water bus) stops for easy travel around the city - one at Rialto on the Riva Del Carbon and the other at Sant’ Angelo.
Also close to two ‘Traghetto’ services ferrying passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal (please check operating times) - one between the Riva Del Carbon near Rialto in the district of San Marco and the Riva Del Vin at San Silvestro in the district San Polo and the other between Calle Del Tragheto near Sant' Angelo in San Marco and San Toma in San Polo.
We stayed here for five nights and found Ca Rossini 1 to be a lovely, spacious apartment.
It has a well equipped kitchen, is spotlessly clean, and has plenty of hanging space in the bedrooms.
It is in a great location, with St Marks square and the Rialto bridge a pleasant ten minute walk away. The Accademia bridge is also close by, for great views along the Grand canal and access to Dorsoduro. The water taxi from the airport stops near the Rialto bridge and
reaching the apartment is fairly easy, with just one small canal bridge to cross. If arriving by private water taxi this will drop you within 3 or 4 minutes of the apartment.
There are restaurants nearby and an excellent supermarket around the corner.
“Views on Venice” were very helpful and efficient and a pleasure to deal with.
If we return to Venice we would certainly choose this apartment again.
Two couples spent three nights in Ca' Rossini 1. We found the apartment very comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. The superb central location meant it was easy to pop back for a rest while exploring Venice, and the proximity to the Rialto market and handy supermarket round the corner made it inviting to cook in one evening.
The staff from "Views on Venice" were most helpful, as was their information pack in the property. We were able to access the apartment early with our luggage, and leave our cases in their office on the last day.
We were greeted on the dock after a private taxi ride from the airport, which the management company booked for us, and escorted to the apartment by an employee of the management company without incident. All communication was excellent! The apartment was very nice, clean, and in a great location. I would definitely stay here again!
This is a comfortable, well-appointed, extremely well-located apartment that worked out very well for three of us except for one thing. The check-in and check-out process was easy and quick. The apartment was spotless when we arrived. The wifi worked well. Throughout the booking process and prior to our arrival, all of our inquiries were answered promptly. Everyone with whom we dealt was accommodating and very nice. It was great to have a supermarket located just steps away from the apartment entrance.
I would definitely have given the apartment five stars except that on Saturday night the small cafe next door (which had been nondescript and quiet throughout the week) hosted a DJ and there was a party with very loud music until 1:30am. In the master, we could close the shutters and windows and the noise wasn't bad - we could definitely sleep. But, our son was in the smaller bedroom and his window faced out over the courtyard and must have been positioned badly relative to the speakers. The result was that even with everything closed up, the music was loud in his room - so much so that it was impossible for him to sleep in that room. I don't know if the cafe hosts these parties every Saturday or if this was a one-time event, but it was definitely something that I wish I'd known about prior to booking that apartment. It is worth asking the question... Except for this one issue, it's a five-star apartment!
Perfect apartment in a perfect location! Clean, modern, quiet, well equiped. Only a few steps from the laguna and St-Marc's. The market is at the corner. Valeria helped us from the airport by booking a private water taxi for us. We absolutly loved our stay.
The apartment is well equipped and is ideal for two couples as there are two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. The managing agents, ViewsonVenice, were attentive and responded immediately to texts and phone calls. The apartment is conveniently located and is equidistant between Rialto and Accademia bridges, each a leisurely 10 minute walk away. Being next to a cinema and a supermarket was actually a major advantage. During our stay we saw Hamlet with Benedict Cumberbatch in English, with Italian subtitles, a film we had all wanted to see! The supermarket has an excellent fresh food counter and sells delicious ready cooked meals like asparagus lasagne and many other treats. After a tiring day walking around, it was very convenient to nip down, buy some food, and eat in the apartment before going out again as we found the food in the restaurants very ordinary and ridiculously expensive. We also found quite a few exhibitions which we stumbled across near the Accademia Bridge - modern artists we had never heard of but whose work we found really interesting.
We would definitely stay in this apartment again as Venice is a place you just want to visit again and again. As for visits and exhibitions we would recommend the following:

A good place for a sandwich and drink at lunchtime is the Corner Pub just a few yards away from the Peggy Guggenheim (I know it does not sound appealing but it is fine, it is Italian, and it does not sell John Smiths beer!).
It is worth trying out any exhibition that you find by accident. These are often temporary and free to enter and some take you by surprise.
A visit to the islands of Burano and Torcello is a lovely day out.
If you want to escape the crowds, the district of Cannaregio makes for a quiet, pleasant walk and the gardens at the opposite south-eastern end of the island are very peaceful.
