Recently renovated 3 bedroom 3 bathrooms on Fife coastal walk

Dating from 1743, and originally two fishermen's cottages, this house has recently been extensively renovated to offer a spacious, modern and comfortable property.

The fully fitted kitchen/ dining room (with AGA) offers a large entertaining area with seating for eight plus breakfast bar.

A separate sitting room has direct access to a private walled garden and deck area.

Three twin bedrooms with modern ensuite bathrooms offering showers in each,( plus one luxurious slipper bath) are tastefully decorated and incorporate ample storage.

There is also a storage room, with separate access, allowing wet or muddy equipment to be stored and dried.

A BBQ area is adjacent to the private decking area.

A beautiful sea view over to Bass Rock and Isle of May is offered from the master bedroom which, like the other two bedrooms, features twin beds to cater for groups as well as families.

This property offers direct access to the renowned Fife Coastal Walk that follows the chain of quaint fishing villages round the East Neuk of Fife. Enjoy the old village pubs and restaurants before heading off to play one of the many golf courses in the area including the famous Old Course in St Andrews.

The more adventurous can enjoy the many water sports on offer around Anstruther and Cellardyke. Both villages have harbours that provide boat excursions to the island seabird colonies, and these are both within easy walking distance of the house.

Try the award winning Fish and Chips on your way home from the harbour.

Lovely place to stay.

We have just spent an extremely comfortable week at 14 James St. The house was like a home from home. It provided everything we needed for a lovely holiday. We enjoyed having the aga to cook on and the kitchen was very well equipped. it was great having 3 bathrooms and the beds were very comfortable. The area is great for walking, cycling and golfing. Highly recommend a stay here.

First class property. Very Clean and well presented

Brilliant house that has lots of character. Kitchen is great for dinner and drinks whilst the rooms are all very comfortable and benefit from two ensuite. Have stayed here many times now and it's never dissapointed. Welcome pack appreciated after long drive too

Fantastic, well equipped. we will be bavk

We stayed in 14 James Street with our children and grandchildren, there was plenty of room when wanting to be all together, or for any member to find a quiet spot alone. The house is in a perfect location, minutes from Anstruther harbour and close to great beaches/walks/shops & restaurants. We visited Cellars restaurant which we would highly recommend. St Andrews and other scenic coastal villages were reached within minutes by car. The house is extrememly well kitted out, for the youngest of visitors to the eldest. On arriving we found the property very clean and the welcome pack left for us was a lovely touch. The weather was wild during our visit, but the amenities available in the house mean that the odd rainy day wouldn't be a concern as there was plenty to keep kids occupied. We would not recommend the property to be suitable for disabled visitors, as the property is arranged over 3 floors, the ground floor contains large kitchen/dining, and includes a seating area. We spent most of our time in here. The Aga at first seemed a bit daunting but very quickly my daughters and I learned to use it without any problem.

The bedrooms were comfortable with lovely bed linen and plenty storage. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to others, we look forward to visiting again!

Great house, great location

The house is typical for the area, with plenty of room and well finished and furnished. Throughout the booking and duration of our stay, Pamela was very helpful with queries and I would recommend the house highly. Availability if parking is the one minor issue, but again this is typical for houses of this type so close to the sea. The are is great, especially if, like us, you get lucky with the weather and the award winning chippy is only a five min walk away!

Fantastic property with top quality fixtures and fittings that is centrally located and affords easy access to the East Neuk of Fife. We spent a wonderful week in Cellardyke enjoying the great outdoors as well as the welcoming bars and restaurants that are on the doorstep.

Fabulous stay in a beautiful property

Stones throw from Anstruther - great evening walks with the kids. Fish and chips by the harbour was fab and an IceCream or two through the week too - would have been rude not too ;)
