Light and airy, the care and attention to detail in this home's design is evident in every room. Pyramid ceiling with skylight floods the main room with light during the day, and offers the stars to view at night. Bamboo floors, inlaid doors, solid maple kitchen cabinetry, central air and WiFi access all contribute to its unsurpassed comfort and beauty.
The cottage is located approximately 50 yards from the main house residence, and we are always available on site for any questions, advice or recommendations during your stay - but far enough away for your complete privacy. As the guest house is part of our single family residence, we fully comply with the new Town of East Hampton rental registry law, which do not require resident home owners to secure a registry number if the home is owner occupied during a rental.

this immaculate cottage was perfect for our family. our three year old could run around outside without the worry of roads or cars. the stone veranda was always cool and breezy to relax on, even during the hottest weather. the beach is gorgeous and a nice walk down the hill, though waves are large for little ones. it's a perfect little hideaway from the fray. we thoroughly enjoyed out stay.

My husband and I decided to take our two young kids (a 3- and a 1-year old) to Montauk, which was a first for us. We stumbled on this cottage and it couldn't have been more perfect. It is very clean with minimal furniture, which is great when you have little kids. The fact that the home is all on one-level is also a plus--there are no stairs to worry about. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is a BBQ on the back porch, which is helpful. We cooked in most nights. The location is wonderful too. The home is on a cul-de-sac and we were able to play outside without worrying about cars or traffic. Also, the home comes with a key and parking pass to the Hither Hills beaches. The home is close enough to the beach that walking is doable if you prefer. We walked to the beach after dinner a couple of times to fly kites. Jennifer, the owner, is very kind and genuinely wants her guests to have an enjoyable stay. My family fell in love with Montauk and this cottage. We are already looking forward to next summer.
This is our 7th visit to this cottage. It has high quality furnishings, great beds, and all amenities. The kitchen is well appointed if you want to eat in, and house has all amenities you want - WIFI, Apple TV, etc. The beach pass allows keyed access to private beaches along Old Montauk highway, or you an simply walk down hill to beach. Montauk has great restaurants, har-tru town tennis courts, and of course all manner of water sports. Owners live on property in main house, and are very lovely people, helpful with questions or problems, but also respect your privacy. I would definitely recommend this cottage to family or friends.
We have been vacationing in Montauk for at least 17 years and this was by far our finest vacation. Although the weather could have been better, our cottage made up for the bit of rain that we had to endure! The day of our arrival, we found the cottage spotless. It was as if no one had ever stayed there before! For 7 nights we truly felt that we were the owners of this beautiful piece of paradise. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were most comfortable and the appliances were first rate. The living room furniture was extremely comfortable which is usually not the case. The walk to the private beach was no more than 6 minutes and worth every step. I would recommend this to anyone who loves the serenity of Montauk and it's most beautiful beaches and natural surroundings. When and if you desire more of the commercial side of the area, then your car will get you there in minutes. We have found our new vacation home and hope that it will be here for us for many summers to come. The Kennedys'
My wife and I stayed in the guest house in the week leading up to the 4th of July. The cottage is very well maintained and is extremely clean. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which works out very well if you have family or friends stop by. The neighborhood is quiet(peaceful) and the cottage stays cool even during the high points of the day. It is a short walk to the beach and a short drive into Montauk village. A great set up if you want to go to the beach or head into town for dinner and/or drinks, and afterwards escape the partying for some peace and quiet.
5 minute walk to private Hither Hills beach, or park at private Montauk Beach Property Owner's Assocation (MBPOA) lots - permit and parking lot key provided. By car or taxi to nearby fishing, boating, biking, golfing at Robert Trent Jones designed Montauk Downs State Park 18 hole golf course (rated one of the top 50 public courses in the U.S.), hiking, horseback riding, shopping, dining, sight-seeing.
