Family man, father, like to travel.
Prime location in quite area, whit superior view.
We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment within the walls of old town. It is at the top of the walls and on the top floor, so you have to walk up quite a few steps to get there. The great thing is the views from the apartment are amazing, and the area was very quiet and out of the way. The apartment was very clean, functional, with a great kitchen and gorgeous views out of the windows of old town. As you stick your head out of the window people walking by on the walls take your picture! There was an authentic feel to the building and apartment, with decorations in the hallway and ancient timbers on the ceiling. The apartment is a bit small with a sloped roof, but it has large windows which let in a lot of light. It worked very well for us, a retired couple. The only thing it needs is a washing machine, as we were there six days and needed to wash clothes.
Damir was a great host who communicated very well with us, and met us on time at our agreed location and walked us to the apartment. He was very helpful in planning our trip and giving us tips about places to see. I would highly recommend this apartment as a great place to stay in Dubrovnik.
Damir was incredibly helpful when we arrived. He showed us how touched to the apartment, navigate the town, and shared information on different places nearby, etc. The apartment itself was exactly what we were looking for during our stay in Dubrovnik. Clean, easy to find, and a short walk from everything in town.
I can't believe there is only one review for this apartment. However, it is very succinct and I would like to endorse everything that has already been said. We stayed for nine days at the beginning of September. We didn't realise how lucky we were to have been met and taken to the apartment until we saw others struggling with maps and luggage, trying to negotiate the maze of streets. Damir pointed out the supermarket, banks, best ways of getting around and insisted on helping us with our luggage. Once in the apartment, he got a map out and marked places to visit, nearest beach, how to get the bus back to the airport etc.He speaks good English and has a lovely sense of humour. The apartment is spotlessly clean and well supplied. We loved the view over the wall - it provided us with endless entertainment, watching the tourists posing for photos! We were very comfortable here and appreciated being so close to everything. There is a huge choice of places to eat - particular favourites were Lucin Kantun where everything is cooked in an open kitchen while you wait and Taj Mahal - not Indian but Bosnian cuisine. Oliva pizzas were reasonably priced to eat in or take away and Skola was good for a sandwich. A three island boat trip is a very relaxing and good value day out as is the trip to Korcula. One word of warning - Dubrovnik's side streets and the apartment itself entail lots of steps to climb and descend so it is not suitable if you have any walking disabilities.
We have just spent a week in Dubrovnik, and thanks to our brilliant apartment we were able to enjoy every aspect of this magical Old Town. From three windows, we had spectacular north and west facing views of the famous tiled roofs, the city's walls, and the Aegean. We were only a short stroll to stunning rock beaches and about a minute or two from the very centre of Dubrovnik Old Town. Our apartment had excellent air-conditioning, a compact yet user friendly kitchen, a great bathroom and to top it all off, a clothes line. Our host was so kind. He met us on arrival, provided a tour of the main thoroughfare and side streets, provided two sets of keys and made sure everything was working before he left us to our own devices. Oh, and the wifi worked 24 hours a day without a problem. We highly recommend this wonderful apartment. You couldn't do better.
