About Polly Addison
I am originally from Montana but have also lived in the Carolinas. My husband and I have been in the Seattle area since 1976 where we raised our three now adult children. I love gardening, cooking and entertaining family and friends.
Polly Addison purchased this House in 2013
Why Polly Addison chose Bellingham
This property had been owned by good friends of ours. We fell in love with the place while guests of our friends. When it came up for sale, we jumped at the chance to continue enjoying this beautiful serene area. The property came with the main lake house and the guest house across the road. Since the guest house is fully furnished and such a peaceful and serene spot, we decided it would be a shame not to share it with others.

Beautiful, peaceful and nature all around us
A beautiful home in a wooded environment surrounded by nature. A quiet lakeside community with many types of recreation to enjoy. A unique place also to witness bald eagles in their home. The house was clean, homey and simple. We loved all the wood and to share it with our family and furry friends.
Peace on earth
The cottage is even prettier than the pictures! It is immaculate, updated and conveniently located to the downtown area and harbors. Polly is an excellent host - very responsive to any questions or needs that came up during a visit.
Had a great time at this cabin.
Beautiful home , well appointed and enjoyed peace/ quiet. Fun to play paddleball and have a fire with the luscious greenery.. looking forward to come back !
Better than we ever expected!
After frequenting Bellingham often for the last 5 years, this stay was by far the best ever! By “best”, I mean after staying in many hotels (work and pleasure) and other vacation properties, this was by the most enjoyable property. Polly was incredibly gracious and accommodating knowing that we were celebrating our youngest graduating from college. From when we arrived to when we left, she was there to greet us and make our stay as wonderful as possible. Her attention to the environment is so admirable and beautiful. The grounds are full of beautiful perennials and wild strawberries. The pickle ball court was fun and even though we brought our own kayak, it was nice to have access to more water equipment if we needed. The house is truly comfortable and accommodating for even the avid chef. (12mins to the parking lot at Hagen grocery store!). And even the sleep number bed was a fantastic surprise! Our weather was perfect where having meals outside made our stay a truly wonderful experience. I am trying to find more reasons to come back to Bellingham to stay here. However I’m afraid the “word is out” as I see this place is full for the summer :( You can tell Polly puts her heart and soul into her place, if only all vacation rentals could have a host like her! We all look forward to coming back again, very soon. Thank you Polly from the bottom of our hearts :)
We had a wonderful time at the house. The beds were very comfortable and the house felt cozy. There was every amenity we would need.
The fire pit, pickle ball court and basketball hoop were a lot of fun. The deck is set up perfect for eating outside and enjoying the beautiful area.
This home is located on the outskirts of Bellingham. We are close enough to the Canadian border to make a day trip out of a visit to Vancouver. There are several quaint towns within a half hour in any direction. For outdoor activities it is close to just about anything you can imagine. Mount Baker ski resort is just over an hour away for both winter and summer activities. If you want to experience city life, it's only 90 minutes north of Seattle.
