About the property

3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, close to coast.

Our spacious 3 bedroom home is 20 mins from Dublin Airport and the City Centre by Dart (train) and 5 mins from the picturesque fishing village of Howth where there's tons of great restaurants and pubs! It's also close to Malahide which has one of the oldest Castles in Ireland.

The coast is a two minute walk from the house. Enjoy a brisk early morning walk on the sea front promenade before breakfast. Lot of cafes around for a nice coffee after.

The house contains a TV with lots of channels and there is free WIFI also.

There's a baby's travel cot if needed and there's a sofa bed in the sitting room if required.

Centra supermarket across the road from the house as well as a chemist and takeaway. Free parking outside the front door. Bus and Dart to city centre and Howth are close by. Lots of nice cliff walks nearby in Howth and guests can take a ferry from Howth Harbour to the city centre and stop off at the Ferryman Pub for lunch and then walk up to Trinity College to visit the Book of Kells or on to Dublin Castle to visit the Chester Beatty Library.

The house is located in a quiet residential area and is a nice place to come back to after the hustle and bustle of the city. Guests are welcome to use the BBQ in the back garden. The Bayside Inn is the nearest pub, about a 3 min walk and does a nice Irish coffee

Why Jacqueline Haymes chose Dublin Northside

Close to the sea and many cliff and beach walks with spectacular views. Near Howth too which is an interesting spot and yet the house is only 15 minutes from Dublin City Centre by train or bus. So it's handy for sightseeing and shopping in the city and then relaxing in the nice Harbour Restaurants along Howth Pier after.

Very close to supermarket, literally a two minute walk so if you need anything in a hurry you don't have far to go.

Perfect location

The apartment is in a great location; just a short walk from the train station and an even shorter walk to a small grocery store and a few restaurants. Howth, a charming town, is about 10 minutes away by train and Dublin is about a 30 minute train ride.

Excellent place for a short or long visit. We will be back.

The home provided us with all the comforts and it was a perfect place to return to after a day of touring. The area was great for walks and it is a short walk to the coast road. You have access to a walk along the water. We visited Howth and did go to the Summit for excellent walks and views of the Irish Sea. We found a gem in Baldoyle called The White House - great restaurant. The food was outstanding and very inexpensive for what we had. We ate there twice during our stay and would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area. It was very easy to get to Dublin City Center via bus, dart or cab. We did rent a car which we used for trips to Wicklow and Howth. We would recommend this as a place to stay as it is very close to the airport and many major areas of interest.

Belle situation

La situation géographique de la location est idéale pour qui veut visiter Dublin tout en restant à l'écart de l'agitation de la ville. La gare, située à 5 min à pied de la maison vous amène en 20 min vers le centre ville et vous êtes situés à 10 min en train du village de pêcheurs de Howth. Le quartier est également extrêmement calme.

Dans la maison de Jacqueline, on se sent très vite "comme à la maison" et les trois chambres sont assez confortables.

Je dois néanmoins émettre quelques réserves sur quelques points: nous étions à deux couples et la petite salle de bain avec l'unique WC de la maison sont un peu "justes". Je pense que , à cause de cet inconvénient, pour 6 personnes ce ne serait pas confortable.

L'équipement de la cuisine est vraiment minimal (pas de grande casserole, pas de plat pour le four, trop peu d'assiettes, de bols, de couverts) et à cause de cela, nous avons dû modifier notre repas de Réveillon. Bon, ces derniers inconvénients peuvent facilement être corrigés, c'est pourquoi, je conseillerais cette location si vous les acceptez ; nous avons néanmoins pu apprécier l'abondance de produits de nettoyage, lave-vaisselle et de base alimentaire...

Dommage, ni à l'arrivée, ni au départ, nous n'avons pu rencontrer Jacqueline avec qui nous avons pourtant eu des échanges très agréables et utiles par courriel...
