A Very Beautiful And Stylish 3 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom Mews, Built In 1792 .


The apartment in this mews is called Chez Jay after my son. it is a much loved and luxurious property in a very cool location in Dublin. it is an oasis of calm but when you step outside you are in the centre of everything. It is a wonderful location from which to explore Dublin at day and at night. I bought this mews 19 years has been recently refurbished and done to a standard of luxury throughout. It is something that one just can't sell as it could not be bought again. The mews is secured behind electric gates. There is a private courtyard in the front. The entrance leads to a loft style living space which includes a Siematic kitchen with Gaggenau appliances. Leading from the living room are two bedrooms and bathrooms which lead out onto a private balcony to the rear. The master bedroom is on the next floor. The master bathroom has a tub, a television and a walk in shower. This bedroom leads to a private deck with an outdoor hot tub and an outdoor shower. It is great to sit in the hot tub late at night and to listen to all the sounds of the city outside. Maybe enjoy a glass of Prosecco after a day's sightseeing as you savor the evening. We are happy to provide you with that as a welcome when you arrive and in case the mood takes you.

If you visit us in the winter, we have great heat and a cozy gas fire to take the chill out of the evening.

There are televisions in all bedrooms. In the living room there is a Bose TV and this includes a sound system suitable for use with an iPod. Fine Italian furniture furnishes the living room. The mews has been recently refurbished it to a very high standard. It is a very special place and is a much loved property. it is only available to rent to families and mature couples. This is a non smoking house but there are plenty of facilities to smoke outside. . While the price may seem high in comparison to other properties, it is reflected in the quality of the furnishings and fit out and location. I would much prefer to rent to a select few than to have it busy all the time.

We have just returned to Australia following our wonderful family trip.

I wanted to get back to you to give you feedback on our experience in Lad Lane – please feel free to use this feedback in any way you wish.

The short feedback is that the entire experience was exceptional. The apartment is stunning – incredible location, beautiful renovated and fitted out to perfection – all completed to the highest standards.

It worked really well for our family of 6. The living area was really comfortable, welcoming and an area one was drawn to. The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautifully fitted out – you should be very proud of what you have accomplished.

Our experience prior to arrival was also excellent. You were easy, clear, efficient and straightforward to deal with. I appreciated that. Thank you for arranging for Paul to have the keys to meet our two oldest children at the airport. He was excellent and could not have been more helpful. It made everything easy.

Mairead, it was a joy to stay in Lad Lane – I will/have certainly let others know what a great place it is and hopefully we can return one day.

The properly is in the centre of the city close to the Shelbourne Hotel, the Merrion hotel, L'ecrivan restaurant and Patrick Guilbauds, Isabels and the Unicorn restaurant and famous pubs like Doheny and Nesbits. Cafe en Seine and many many more. It is within walking distance to great shopping in Brown Thomas and all of Grafton Street.

Stunning, perfect location

This is a 5 Star property and an excellent location for everything. It is very close to Trinity College, Grafton Street, Guinness, with everything we did in walkable distance but very quiet at night. We did not want to be in the temple bar region due to noise. Great local restaurants. The only critical comment (and this is very minor given the beauty and comfort of the apartment) would be that we were there during a very warm time of the year. The master bedroom can get warm at night because it is the upper level but the fan provided helped.

This property exceeded all expectations with comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, a well appointed kitchen (even milk for our coffee), and super super clean.

Great accommodations and location!

My family of 6 stayed here during a family wedding in Ireland and absolutely loved it! There was plenty of room for everyone and the location was great! We were able to walk to local markets and pubs, as well as shopping and tourist attractions.

We also had the driver pick us up and take us back to the airport, which was a big help!

Expertly, modernly appointed with old-world charm!

Chez Jay was exceptional. Beautiful, old, architecturally-interesting building that has been completely updated for comfort on inside. From towel warmers, floor heat, room by room heat control, an entire sound system, kitchen w all the equipment u could possibly want, many lighting options, sky lights, I could go on & on!! Oh and the outdoor private hot tub, and the adorable courtyard w many planted flowers. Just. Perfect. Paul & Jacqui were both SO professional, responsive & enjoyable to work with. Highly recommend to ANYONE, even the fussiest traveler!

This is a beautiful spot to explore Dublin. Perfect for romantic getaway or family with teens.

It's not often that a flat is just exactly as advertised. Lad's Lane is all it says, and more. Extra touches like warm throws, plush towels and nice soap were all welcome and unexpected. The rooftop view alone from the hot tub would make me want to return.

You won't be disappointed!

Wonderful apartment. Beautiful, charming, spacious, with privacy when wanted. We were a three generation family and it was perfect for us. Owner and manager were quick to respond when we had a question. It is in the perfect location for Dublin. We easily walked to restaurants, museums, Grafton Street, Pubs, everything! Dublin is a walkable city. Paul, the driver, is great - he picked us up at the airport upon arrival and brought us back to the airport upon departure. When we had a question about an appliance, he was able to answer it. He also drove us along the coast and down to the beautiful Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough, giving us interesting information along the way. We highly recommend a stay at this property.

This mews building is set in the heart of Georgian Dublin. There are two apartments in this building. Chez Jay 1 has 3 bedrooms and is located upstairs. Chez Jay 2 has 2 bedrooms and is located on the ground floor. It was built in 1792 and was originally the stables of one of the great houses in Fitzwilliam Square. It is within short walking distance of great restaurants, pubs, the Shelbourne and the Merrion Hotels and Grafton Street. It is very close to the National Art Gallery and Government buildings. Ireland’s finest Michelin star restaurants are all within easy walking distance. While the area is quiet, there is a real sense of being in the centre of everything. There are lovely walks along the canal and in the parks of Merrion Square and St Stephens Green.
