Fantastic lakefront dog and family-friendly home on the 1600-acre Minong Flowage that can sleep 8 (6 in beds). Beautiful home with attention to every detail. Open floor plan with kitchen with cherry cabinets, granite counters, and stainless steel appliances all flowing into the dining/living area with stacked stone gas fireplace, soaring cedar ceiling, and windows to the lake. Three outdoor areas including a spacious deck, lower level patio, and large fire pit with gorgeous pavers. 263 feet of lakefront footage on a private, secluded bay.
The cabin has 3 bedrooms, plus a queen futon. The main floor master bedroom has a king bed. The lower-level walkout provides 2 additional bedrooms: 1 with a queen bed and 1 with 2 single beds. There are two bathrooms; one on the main level and one on the lower level. Please note that the main level bathroom has a tub with a hand-held nozzle; it is not a full shower. The lower level has a walk-in shower.
You will be surrounded by towering pines for that "Up North" feel, enjoying the waterside view from the deck, lower patio, or fire pit. Steps to the water, with level elevation, enjoy swimming, water sports, fishing or just relaxing. Access miles of ATV trails nearby, golf courses, and 3 restaurant/bars located directly on the lake (and 1 more on Cranberry Lake, which is connected to the Minong Flowage). Enjoy hiking or canoeing on the Totagatic and Namekagon rivers. Winter activities include ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling on miles of groomed trails.
About the Minong Flowage:
The water in the Minong Flowage is from the Totagatic River and is clean, but the minerals from the River tint the water slightly brown. The bottom is primarily sand, and the area off the dock is shallow but swimmable. At its deepest point, the lake is 21 feet. It is a popular fishing lake, and common fish include walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, and yellow perch.
A Note About Dogs:
We named our cabin the Lazy Dog Lodge for a reason: we LOVE dogs and we want our guests to enjoy their vacation with the whole family, including the furry members :-) That being said, please be mindful of whether our cabin is appropriate for your dog(s).
We may not be the vacation rental for you if your dog(s):
*Consider barking to be a favorite pastime;
*Chew things other than dog toys;
*Like to visit the neighbors unsupervised (we do not have a fenced-in yard), and/or;
*Use the house as a bathroom.
We provide dog beds, bowls, treats, tie-outs, poop bags, and crates (one large, up to 65lbs, and one small, up to 25lbs). We ask that your dogs be supervised when at the cabin and crated when you are not. Please feel free to ask us any questions about bringing your dogs!

About Sarah Kenville
We currently call Minneapolis home but purchased our second home in Minong because of its Northwoods feel, gorgeous lake, wildlife, and scenery, and as a place to relax and get away from it all. Marc is originally from Northern Wisconsin and is excited to share the area with fellow travelers, along with hosting friends and family. We are active in dog rescue and LOVE dogs. Our three dogs are our children, and we can't imagine a vacation home without them. We welcome you to the Lazy Dog Lodge! *Owner is a Minnesota-licensed Realtor.

Why Sarah Kenville chose Minong
Marc is originally from Northern Wisconsin and it was his dream to have a second home here. We realized that dream this year, and are so excited to share our home with people who love the lake life and cabin experience. It is incredibly peaceful and relaxing, and our unique location at the end of the bay affords privacy and quiet. The lake is fantastic for fishing, has 3 restaurants, and an area called "Sand Island" where you can dock your boat, fish, and relax. For those who have boats, there are two public boat launches on the Flowage.

We recently stayed here for a weekend. The place is beautiful and has everything you need right there. We ended up there on a warm weekend so we shoveled off the decks and were able to enjoy them. Would like to come back when there was no snow so we could use the fire pit and water. We will be booking this place again sometime soon.
Stunning, well-appointed, and welcoming
We had a delightful January long weekend at the Lazy Dog Lodge. The entire house is very well turned out, with full cookware, toiletries, dog beds/bowls/crates, soaking tub, and gas fireplace. It was -20 the weekend we were there so we weren't able to do much outdoor exploring, but the lake was beautiful, the frozen woods were idyllic, and the sunlight poured in through the massive main-level windows. We had five adults and two large dogs, and everyone had plenty of space to lounge and read and cook. The lake-house decor is updated here, with some more contemporary touches. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows, and a washer/dryer available. We immediately began daydreaming about coming back in the spring/summer.
Beautiful home and grounds. We lived it in the winter so much we talked about coming back in the summer. Didn't need to leave the house except to fish and walk on the lake
This property is exceptional! So nice, very clean, and very peaceful. We all had a wonderful time, and the kitchen had absolutely everything we could have needed. The soaking tub was a huge benefit. Jellybean, our black pug, completely fell in love with the fuzzy brown dog bed. She hardly left it the entire time we were there, it was pretty funny. Thank you so much!
Fall Get Away
You will not be disappointed! Beautiful cabin and very responsive and accommodating owner. Fishing was productive and peace and quiet at night delivered a truly relaxing and rejuvenating get away. We VRBO all of our fall get aways and will look to return to this location!
Exactly as advertised so you can rent with confidence. Very good communication, well maintained and decorated, clean, plenty of space. Felt very private. Loved having both the elevated deck and the big space around the fire pit. The lake can get a bit green in the bay if there's no wind, but otherwise no issues and had a great time!
