The penthouse appt was very nice and in a very central location. I've been to antibes on several occasions and I always enjoy my stay there however on this occasion I didn't feel at ease in France.

Owner's Response: For some travel ia an adventure and with adventure comes some element of risk. This is a very personal question. Some may feel safe staying in their homes until one day it is burgled and then they also feel terrified in their homes. London, Paris, New York have all been the subject of terror attacks so where can you be "safe" ? The answer is to live your life and don't let the terrorists decide wher you can or cannot go !

Lovely place.

We had a lovely time in Antibes, the apartment is in a good location and just 10-15 mins from Salis beach which was our main destination most days. The apartment was spot on, very clean with great views. The only slight gripe was the stress of the actual check-in. Please note that if you are checking in late (we were on the last easyjet flight) there is a 50 euro charge for late call outs after 10pm. This was agreed up front and OK with us as it saved us the stress of getting another hotel. The plane was delayed by 45 mins and at one point felt the potential that they might not be there as we had a text saying 'have you landed yet' (we had told them it was delayed when we were at Luton) and they seemed quite stressed. We definately felt the need to apologise (however we weren't sure why) yet it was agreed we would be there late.

However, once in and settled we were sorted. It's a lovely apartment. The lift is a bit dodgy as it broke down a few times but it wasn't a major hassle - just worth noting if you can't climb or decend lots of stairs. Cleaning for 2 bedrooms is 120 euro extra - one bedroom is 80 euro.

Owner's Response: This is the first complaint in over ten years about the lift so your comments will be passed to the management company for the building. Unfortunately late check ins can be a real issue for my agent. Late flights tend to get later and later with delays so in an extreme delay you could have someone waiting all night for the arriving guests. Everybody does there best to be accommodating but late flights are best avoided !

We had one of our best holidays in Antibbes. The apartment was so central, with home from home comforts, close to train, bus station. The patio doors in every room makes the apartment so bright and cheery. Lovely having breakfasts and lunches out on patio. Really short to beach, port and old town. Lovely restaurants and bars nearby especially "La Rustic". Lovely walks around the coast. We will definitely return.

2nd Visit!

This was our second visit to the Penthouse and was just as enjoyable as the first. The apartment was spotlessly clean and fresh. When we arrived earlier than planned Trish very kindly offered to leave our suitcases in the apartment until cleaning was finished. Lovely new shower unit has been installed since our last visit and we were glad to have air con. Highly recommend this apartment both for location and price and looking forward to our next visit.

Highly Recommended!

Just returned from a fantastic week in the Penthouse which is situated in a lovely building in a perfect location. Bakery, butcher shop, pharmacy right on doorstep and lovely 'Au Cafe' across the road well worth a visit. Train and bus station about five minutes walk and very convenient to beach. When we arrived the apartment had just been decorated and was very fresh and clean. Doors leading to balcony from each room makes the apartment feel bright and airy but we were very glad to also have air con as the weather was very hot. Lovely view from balcony and ideal place to relax in the evening. Bed linen and towels provided were of very good quality in comparison to other apartments we've stayed in and Trish (the lady who looks after the apartment) met us when we arrived and gave us lots of useful tips on the area. The owner of the apartment answered all my queries/emails very promptly and provided lots of information leaflets about markets, places to visit etc. We really look forward to visiting the Penthouse for another holiday and would highly recommend this property if you're planning to visit Antibes!

Wonderful!

My Husband and I have just had the most wonderful holiday in the " Penthouse. " We fell in love with the apartment the moment we saw the sun drenched rooms each with its own patio door leading to a wraparound balcony with spectacular views to the marina and the old town of Antibes. The rooms were very comfortably furnished and had everything you could possibly need including the must have air conditioning and internet access. Location wise second to none, train and bus terminus on your door step, 3 excellent supermarkets within walking distance ( 5 mins. ) There is a superb daily fresh fruit and vegetable market, not to be missed. The magical marina 2 fantastic beaches, numerous wonderful restaurants. What more can you ask for. We certainly plan to re book the Penthouse next year
