Just a 3 minute walk to the outstanding sandy beach. Stretching uninterrupted from le Touquet to Berck! The location makes it perfect for short breaks, shopping trips, golf weekends, cycling, fishing, walking & horse riding. The apartment is tastefully furnished with wooden and tiled floors. It will sleep 8 people (1 x double bed, 4 x single beds, 2 under stored beds). It has 37' LCD TV (FR), DVD (region 2), CD/radio. Electric Central Heating in all rooms. Well appointed open plan kitchen, 4 zone hob, oven/combined microwave and dishwasher. Dining table and 4 chairs and living room seating for 6. 2 x shower rooms one on each level & a separate WC. 2 south facing balconies with patio furniture and sun loungers. Private parking for 1 car. Total area 85m2. Linen is NOT supplied. Guests will need to provide tea towels, towels, sheets/duvet covers & pillowcases. Quilt sizes are 1 x double size and 6 x singles. The Apartment must be left clean & in the condition that it was found in on departure. NO SMOKING in the apartment please.

Golf!: Close to the famous Golf du Touquet. 5km from Stella Plage & 3km from Le Touquet centre. Consisting of two courses. • La Forêt Course created in 1904 set in the heart of an old pine forest; 18 holes 5827 metres, SSS 71, Par 71. • La Mer Course is a championship links course laid out amongst wild sand dunes; 18 holes 6393 metres, SSS 75,5; Par 72. • Le Manoir Course is perfect for beginners; 9 holes 2817 metres, S.S.S. 35, Par 35.

• Practice range, two putting greens, Pitching and Chipping zones.

Historic interest: The main regional towns are Calais, Boulogne-sur-Mer, Lens, Liévin, Artois, Arras and Saint-Omer. Each of these towns have great historical interest and sights to absorb. Visit the Field of the Cloth of Gold, Agincourt and the various battlefields dotted around the area. Try Montreuil, an ancient walled town steeped in history; it's just a few kilometres away and makes a good visit. There are many excellent rural walks taking in quaint villages along the way. And, just across the border into Belgium is the gorgeous town of Bruges, a very worthwhile visit.

Easy to reach from the UK, Belguim, Netherlands and Germany.... and of course France!: This is a very easy place to reach and take that well earned rest. As an example, if you plan well, you can be there in less than 4 hours from Surrey England, including the crossing time! A week or a weekend away in a typically French town has never been so simple.

Obviously, I have a passion for 'all things French', but I failed to speak the language very good, most likely because business was always done in English. Now I am retired... I have to learn!

Why Rickie & Jackie chose Montreuil area

Stella Plage took us by surprise when we first visited it way back in 2007, so much so that we purchased a holiday home the same year!

At first, we kept the delight to ourselves and treated the family to a spectacular resort and the wonderful surrounding areas, like le Touquet, Merlimont, Berck and Montreuil! All those places are nearby (le Touquet is only a five minute's drive away), and all this... just 3:15 hours from our home in the UK!

It just had to be Stella Plage for a holiday home!

We decided to rent out for holiday lets, which will give something back in the way of rentals and help to run the place, but it will give you something to cherish as a family home that you can enjoy over and over!

You will, I'm sure, enjoy the apartment as much as we do. The location is close to the beach, close to the shops and close to the bars and restaurants. the apartment is exceptionally roomy and being south facing, the sun trap on the balcony's is superb!

What makes this apartment unique

The real benefit is, it's among the closest beaches to Paris, and it's close enough to be in the heart of France, and travel from the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany is really simple. For example, it's just 3 :15 hours, including the crossing, from our home in Surrey and most likely the same from Belgium and a little more from Holland and Germany.

The quietness of the town makes it so much nicer than the busier resorts of le Touquet and Berck, although they are so close you can visit them, and come away to park your car, and sleep!

With the beach so close to the apartment it's a perfect place for kids to enjoy.

Also, you can walk to le Touquet in about 40 minutes and to Berck in about an hour on the open sandy beach.

Why not leave the car, have a lunch enjoy some French wine, and unwind & stroll back along the beach!

This is a modern duplex apartment; it has 2 levels & is situated on the 2nd floor of the building. The entrance is served by internal stairs, via a secured access. Note: there is NO LIFT. There are 2 South facing balconies, one on each level. The 1st floor balcony is served by patio doors from the dining/lounge areas & is furnished with a patio table & chairs. The 2nd floor balcony is served from the studio style bedroom & is furnished with decking & pool-side style sun loungers. Both balconies benefit from excellent sunshine all day, East to West all day! The lounge is furnished with a comfortable corner sofa/Dining for 6 people/Fitted kitchen. All kitchen utensils are provided. Towels tea-towels & bed linen are not provided (pillows & quits are provided but you will need to bring your own bed sheets, pillow cases & quilt covers).

Spacious, clean and modern apartment in excellent location close to fantastic beach

We had a great stay of 11 nights in this lovely apartment in Stella Plage. There was lots of room and the beach was fantastic. Some helpful touches in the apartment - lots of French and English sockets and adaptors, plenty of books to read and DVD's provided, and even some beach toys, etc left behind. English & French TV was also provided and a secure private parking spot at the back of the apartment.

There were a couple of minor issues when we arrived but all communication with Rickie was very fast and he did everything possible to help. The agency was only a few doors from the apartment and the handover process for the keys & cleaning deposit was smooth and simple (though it helped to be able to speak French).

Stella Plage has a fantastic long, sandy beach which is very popular and very well watched by the lifeguards who actively patrol up and down both in boats and at the edge of the water - very reassuring as the currents are clearly strong! We also had enjoyable day trips to the waterpark at le Touquet, to Paris by train from Etaples to climb the Eiffel tower, and to the memorials of the Somme which were all easily reached.

The only slight downside was the need to take own sheets/towels, etc - whilst this was clearly advertised it is a pain and should be provided at least as an option as part of the agency/cleaning service.

The deposits were returned promptly at the end of the stay.

All in all - a very enjoyable, relaxing holiday!

Ideal Family Location in spacious apartment

Property is in excellent location and boasts free parking. The apartment is well laid out and benefits from two bathrooms which is helpful for familires. The two main bedrooms are of a good size whilst the third bedroom utilises an upstairs open space. Everything in the apartment was working and in good condition. No problems with the tv with good instructions supplied by the owners in advance. The collection of DVDs help for evenings with young children. Collection of keys easy with agent based only a 100 metres away. Stella Plage has a beautiful clean long beach with a tide which goes out and out and out. Young children must watch out for the strong currents, but the beach is well life guarded and they are extremely watchful. Local shops are based on the same street and the beach is only a few minutes walk away. Le Touquet is either a walk along the beach or a short drive and boasts an excellent water park. Remember that you are not allowed to swim in the water park in shorts, proper swimming trunks are required. If not you will have to purchase on the spot very expensive trunks in the water park shop.

Stella Plage Brasserie provides an excellent evening meal with reasonable prices, as well as the already mentioned by others "Freds" which is just across the road from the apartment. Stella Plage is delightfully quiet in the evening and no late noise to disturb youngsters. Once again the circus was in town for a brief stop over.

Great location makes it easy to get back to Calais or for visits to the war cemetaries.

Rickie is extremely organised with his communication and responds quickly to all messages.

Lovely sunny apartment

Great stay - apartment bigger than expected, great weather, even at Easter - sitting out on the balcony. Good facilities, especially if you like to cook - great saucepans! We were a family of 7 and fitted well in the space. Although it sleeps 8, that might be a tight squeeze! Not just a summer apartment - this was cosy on the cooler evenings. Parking good. Main bedroom downstairs, separate from children upstairs which was nice. Satellite TV not working, but Rickie told us in advance and there was a large selection of UK DVDs, so not an issue at all. Would have been nice to have wifi, but you can't have everything! You can get 15 minutes free wifi at the bureau de tourisme just up the road if you need it.

appartement agréable, spacieux et lumineux, bien équipée. la propreté laisse à désirer..

l'information quant au prix de location n'est pas très claire; le prix affiché en euros est débité en livre; il est très alléchant mais il faut bien lire le contrat car il y a des frais d'agence à y ajouter . il serait plus transparent d'intégrer ce coût, dans le prix affiché ainsi que le ménage afin qu'il soit fait obligatoirement par une société et que l'appartement soit nickel.

French Beach Holiday

This apartment is ideal for families, it is very spacious and in a great location with shops, the beach, bars, restaurants and a children's amusement arcade. While we were there the circus was in town and there were 2 markets selling clothes, food, gifts etc. Etaples, Berck and La Touquet are all just 5-10m mins away for waterpark, amusement park, war cemetery, large supermarkets etc. It was good for us not to have to travel very far in the car each day.

The apartment is clean and has everything you need - microwave, oven, dishwasher, large tv, cd & dvd player, selection of items for the beach.

Lovely spacious apartment in ideal location.

A very well kept apartment and fully kitted out. Plenty of room for two adults and four growing teenagers! Also in an ideal location for beach, shops and restaurants. Great for giving our teenagers some independence during the time we were there. Really enjoyed our stay. Arrangements beforehand were well communicated and it was easy to contact the owner and agent with any queries.

STELLA-PLAGE is situated on the Cote de Opal, less than a 10 minute drive from Le Touquet with its chic boutiques and huge range of restaurants. 2 championship quality golf courses, one through forest, the other through dunes lie within a 10 minute drive of the apartment. Le Touquet also boasts a Thalassotherapy centre, boat tours of the Canache bay, sailing, fishing, land yachting as well as the Aqualud water park with its all year round heated pools, wave machines and water slides. The Bagatelle theme park is only a 15 minute drive away. Other places of interest include Berck, Etaples, Camiers, Montreuil and the chocolate factory at Beussent and many other pretty villages and military historic sites. There are several bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the apartment. There are also several small supermarkets, gift shops, a boulangerie, takeaway, butchers and a fabulous poissonerie close by. Stella Plage also has a twice weekly market in season which is well worth a visit.

Other Activities: Water parks (Baglatelle at Berk, Aqualud on the seafront at Le Touquet)
