Manderlay Holiday Apartment is a superb 2/3 bedroom first floor apartment situated in a lovely leafy and quiet location in the very popular Chelston area of Torquay. The very convenient location of the apartment means that the choice of beaches at Torre Abbey, Corbyn Head and Livermead are all only a short stroll away as is the Yacht Marina, harbourside and Torquay's main shopping centre. The accommodation is a very recent quality conversion of a Victorian Villa and has been decorated and fitted to an excellent standard and specification. The large rooms and high ceilings provide a very spacious and light apartment ideal for a family or couples looking for quality holiday accommodation. Outside a very large private furnished decked terrace area is available for visitors use and is easily accessed from the lounge, this is a particularly pleasant area for guests to sit outside and relax in the sunshine. All of the attractions of Torbay and the surrounding South Devon coast and countryside are easily accessed from Manderlay by either car or the regular bus services which run along the main seafront area which is only 5 minutes away on foot.
Ground Floor Entrance: Communal lobby with stairs to apartment entrance on the first floor.
Hallway to lounge/diner: Large flat screen TV with freeview and DVD, free Wi-fi connection provided, large dining table and chairs, door to the very large furnished and decked terrace area.
Kitchen: Gas hob, electric fan oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher.
Bedroom 1: Kingsize Double Bed, ensuite shower room, WC & washbasin.
Bedroom 2: Kingsize Double Bed.
Second lounge/bedroom: Double sofa bed.
Bathroom: Bath with shower over, WC & wash hand basin.
Outside: Private parking. Very large private decked and furnished terrace.
Loved the apartment back in early June so much, we re-booked it for early September and had a couple of friends join us - who, like u,s described it as a home from home. No need to say more.
Overall, we found Manderley to be a lovely spacious property in a really nice quiet area of Torquay. Very well equipped, car parking space a bonus and the very large balcony was ideal to use during the recent spell of hot weather.
The apartment is lovely .l did find a pair of socks in an ornament in the bedroom . Lovely kitchen everything you could want . But there was two dirty dish cloths left on the side ,also some rubbish in the bin . Which I found very off putting. We found sofa in the lounge to low . Apart from that very happy . We had a lovely holiday ,it was in just the right place ., for everything
We booked the week before arriving so got an extra good deal but was still impressed with the size of the accommodation for the money. All rooms light and airy and the outside space and private parking a bonus. Location perfect with wonderful sea views. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful holiday,accommodation was excellent with every facility need for a trouble free holiday.We will certainly consider staying there again next year knowing that we will have an enjoyable holiday again
The lights fused on Tuesday night due to a bulb blowing and had great difficulty in contacting anyone even after using recommended phone numbers. Problem not solved until Friday! Fortunately, there were plenty of lamps. Awkward in the kitchen and bathroom without proper lighting. Very inconvenient!
