Villa Cortijo Martin is situated in a prime location for those people that love sun, fresh air, amazing views and privacy.

Located on the hills between Torrox and Nerja, it is a delightful place for those who seek privacy and a quiet location with incredible scenery.

The owners Paco and Loli are very kind and accommodating hosts. They like to keep the villa in extremely good condition and very clean, with a constant up keeping and improvements.

The property can be reached by car in about 15 minutes from the motorway using an asphalted road. This amazing villa with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms has no air conditioning but it’s constructed using local techniques making it extremely fresh inside in the summer heat. There are ceiling fans for those who want extra air, but no one has complained since we started renting this villa 12 years ago.

Two of the three bedrooms have double-beds and one twin-beds for up to 6 people. We could fit a 7th person in the upper floor (please ask about an extra bed). There are 2 bathrooms, one en-suite and one main bathroom near the bedrooms. All bedrooms have blinds and mosquito nets.

The dining/living room and the open kitchen are ideal for small groups, but the large open space/bar with cooking facilities (BBQ) outside extend the options for our guests choosing to stay indoors or outside by the pool. There is TV with satellite channels, radio/CD player and an open chimney for winter stays who want to use an open fire.

There is a sun terrace on the upper part of the villa for those private sun-bathing moments with no overlooking.

The swimming pool has a depth from 1.2 to 1.8 metres and there are sun-beds, an external shower, a swing-chair and tables with chairs nearby. There is enough space in the property to park a car inside.

Originally from Spain, I have been renting properties in Nerja and Torrox since 2004. I like quality and good communication. Due to the fact that many Spanish people do not speak any other languages, I like to ensure guests coming to my villas are well aware of all information: where is the villa, what is inside, how to get there, who will look after them when they arrive to Nerja, recommended restaurants and places to go, etc.

I provide information in different languages, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Finnish and even Russian.

Why Spain Sun Rentals chose Torrox

Finished in 2005, I've been renting this property since 2004 and many friends and family have enjoy great experiences. The property is maintained by Paco and Loli who live in Nerja.

Over the years we have improved the space to give our guests a better holiday experience. In August 2012 the local council resurfaced the area in front of the villa improving its access from both Torrox and Nerja. The villa is well kept with regular cleaning and maintenance of the exterior and interior areas. In 2012 we also built a BAR area near the BBQ to improve the facilities in the pool area.

What makes this villa unique

Rural Spanish feeling without losing its comfort. Located far enough from Nerja to be away from the town noise and curious passers-by, but close enough to go down to town or the beach when desired.

All the furniture in the house has been carefully chosen to give the property a rustic and very Spanish style. The villa was finished in 2005 and it is very well maintained condition. There is a very large terrace (120 sq.m.) with BBQ and amazing views of the mountains. It is a safe area and big enough for children to play and enjoy outdoor meals by the swimming pool which is well maintained and clean.

This was an outstanding villa in a great setting. The towns/villages nearby are charming. Great places to eat, swim and walk. We were looked after very well by the hosts and the booking company. We would love to come back.

Lovely Cortijo - Magnificent Views!

We stayed at Cortijo Martin in Aug 2016 for two weeks and loved it.

The cortijo is in great condition and maintained to a high standard. It feels very private and the views to the sea and surrounding countryside are amazing.

The property was described accurately in the Home and Away description.

The owner and property management company provided an outstanding level of service. The owner is a really friendly guy - Paco. The property managers were very professional and responded to all communications promptly.

We would recommend Cortijo Martin to others and would consider renting it again if we returned to the area.

A wonderful chillaxing holiday,if you like hustle & bustle, noise,bright lights this isn't the place for you,but if you want peace,tranquility with a 10/15 min drive to restaurants supermarkets shops this is the place.

We are hoping to book for next year if it's available

Paco who is the owner & met us to drive us to the villa was a lovely friendly man,I wouldnt hesitate in recommending this villa to friends & family

Wonderful villa, away from it all

Our family with 2 young children really enjoyed our stay at this villa. It's in a tranquil setting with lovely views and away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby resorts which are so busy in the high season.

The kids loved the pool of course and spent many happy hours jjumping in, splashing around, improving their swimming and playing on the lilos.

The inside of the villa is decorated and maintained to a high standard which is more than I can say of some other places we've stayed in.

The drawback of staying somewhere like this is of course the time it takes to travel to and from Torrox or Nerja. We like to eat out most of the time on holiday so we spent quite a bit of time travelling to and from the restaurants we know and love in Nerja every evening. But it was worth it and we would recommend this villa to anyone looking for a lovely large property in a quiet setting.

Villa Cortijo Martin is located in a beautiful placement with sea and mountain views and no other properties overlooking it.

Villa Cortijo Martin is located in Sierra Frigiliana, within the Axarquia region, 35 miles from Malaga and 5 km from Torrox Pueblo, at 145 metres above sea level. This is a place to go and enjoy peace and tranquillity surrounded by nature and with tons of sunshine. This region, in the eastern part of the province of Malaga, has a total of thirty one whitewashed villages. They nestle on hillsides, perch on mountain tops or are hidden away in deep lush valleys. It enjoys sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean coastline and the mountains of the Sierra Almijra Wildlife Reserve. These mountains, snow capped in winter, dominate the northern part of the province, provide a natural protection from the north winds and mark the boundary between Malaga and Granada.

Access to the villa can be achieved from either Nerja or Torrox. The road in front of the villa was resurfaced in August 2012 and access is better than ever. It is a perfect location for people that like nature, mountain-biking, hiking and walking, but close enough to town, shops, restaurants and several beaches. Due to its location and space, we welcome guests with dogs.
