Overview

About the property

Comfortable Cabins on the Bank of the Blackfoot River - Sleeps 6!

Beautiful, 2-bedroom, 1-bath, Blackfoot River cabin with an additional guest cabin. Take in views of the Blackfoot River from the front deck with over 275 feet of waterfront and 3.5+ acres. The rooms are comfortably furnished with items the owners have collected from their travels around the world. The living - dining - kitchen is open and flooded with natural light and room for friends and family. Custom river rock covers the bathroom floor and inside of the shower. A washer and dryer are in the main house for your convenience. The guest house has room for two, providing privacy and its own river views. This cabin is located in a quiet and remote area, with no cell or television service. There are movies for entertainment (not that you'll want to spend any time indoors).

An additional $25/day fee applies for campers. Please indicate in your request if you or your guests plan to bring a camper.

Spend some time in nature in the place where Norman Maclean says, "The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time."

About Carrie

We built the main cabin in 2007 as a retreat for our friends and family. We fell in love with the quiet setting on the banks of the Blackfoot. We have enjoyed the home for many years and hope you love it as much as we do!

Carrie purchased this house in 2007

Why Carrie chose Greenough

The Blackfoot is one of the most pristine watersheds in the US, fed by the annual run-off from the surrounding mountains. Whether you love to fish, watch wildlife, or just want a little peace and quiet, it doesn't get any more spectacular than this!

What makes this house unique

A quiet setting on the Blackfoot River, you can hear water from every inch of the property. There are only a handful of homes in the area, providing privacy and a respite from the rest of the world!

Fantastic Stay

  • 5 of 5

Everything was just like described. Carrie's personality made everything feel very smooth and comfortable, we felt very welcomed almost like she is an old college friend! The inside cabin experience was just like we hoped and needed, extremely warm, and stress free. There was tons of natural light that came in, and the big open space of the cabin made everything feel very family connecting (my wife especially noted that). Without a doubt, the outside was far more special than I even imagined it would be. The Blackfoot river is right there...and I mean RIGHT THERE! Although we didn't adventure into the flowing water, I couldn't get enough just being so near it. If you like coffee or tea in the mornings, than I assure you it will taste even better as you silently sip while watching and listening to the water churn. Likewise, an evening walk after supper along the shoreline... I think I may have lost one-ton of stress in my shoulders just being there. If you find my ball of stress laying around, just let the water keep washing it away (ha-ha). Seriously, I cant wait to go back soon! This cabin is good for the soul, both indoors and outdoors!

Amazing setting - nice cabins - great price!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed in these great cabins last summer. They were perfect for our needs. My brother came along and was able to have a little privacy in the guest cabin while my husband and I and the kids slept in the main cabin. My kids loved the fire pit. We floated the Blackfoot one day and it was amazing. My husband even caught a few fish. We especially loved leaving the windows open in the evening and listening to the sound of the Blackfoot River. We can't wait to come back this summer!

Beautiful location!!!

  • 4 of 5

This place was an amazing property, in a great setting! Our only hang up was that it was a little confusing to get into. We also have a serious coffee addition and forgot to bring our own, so the mornings were a little rough when we couldn't find any at the cabin. These are minor complaints for what was a great stay and awesome location!

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for taking time to give us some feedback. Our location can be a bit tricky to find - it's off the beaten path but makes for an amazing setting. We'll have to be sure to get more coffee! Thank you for choosing to stay with us and we hope to see you back again in the future!
