Spacious, contemporary and private , non estate villa, with panoramic views.

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,614 sq. ft.
Property type villa
Minimum Stay 1 - 7 nights

About the property

Three double-ensuite bedroom, private villa -great views and location.

This is a large , private villa, with contemporary furnishings in neutral tones and with a stylish and beautifully calm atmosphere throughout.

Situated on the edge of the village with a 180˚ direct south facing terrace and pool , great because it is remote and not overlooked.

The detached contemporary two storey Villa is centred around a magnificent large staircase and grand Salon style Sitting-room. This unique three bedroomed property affords the very best uninterrupted view in Nata from its prominent hillside position, offering seclusion in which to sunbathe and with an epic 180˚ panorama over the valley with the Swimming pool in full sun all day.

Access is only through the front lockable Courtyard making this property particularly suitable for nude sunbathing as guests testify in their comments. This Courtyard , arranged with plants and succulents, has tables and chairs in which to enjoy lunch out of the sun and links the property's ground floor areas.

The Master En-suite Bedroom located on its own upstairs, a Twin En-suite Studio Bedroom in the old Stone part of the building and the Double En-suite Bedroom located with direct access to the pool. Villa Marona happily offers individual discrete accommodation meaning groups need not feel they are on top of each other during their holiday.

This property is a home and it's style and suitability is for the person who really wants to escape to a private house away from the mass tourism that has now sadly overwhelmed Cyprus.

Marona is unsuitable for families with children under 12 years due to an unfenced pool , glass doors and staircase. Its privacy makes it better suited for adults.

This is suited to the guest who does not crave the need for bars and clubs and instead those who want a haven and a place of tranquillity for their own when they stay. Villa Marona has free Wifi and Internet TV offering most English speaking channels.

This is a place for reading , eating , playing games, enjoying the view, swimming, sunbathing and relaxing.

The Villa is close to Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills golf and leisure complex, with their beautiful golf courses, bars and restaurants. You are only ever a short drive away and taxis are available .

The Villa was taken off the rental market in 2011 /12 ( hence the gap in the reviews) whilst we rebuilt the old stone Studio and converted the room into the Studio Bedroom Ensuite and guests , family and friends have been enjoying it since. The villa rents quickly between April and November to mostly returning clients.

Nata is perfectly placed just a short drive away from excellent beaches, ( http://www.cyprus-beach-guide.co.uk/paphos/beaches.html), typical Cypriot villages such as Mandria and Pissouri , with their dozens of friendly and varied restaurants and the local tourist attractions such as Petra Tou Romiou. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petra_tou ) ,making Villa Marona a wonderful location for families, romantic getaways and long lazy holidays.

15 minutes drive away is lively Paphos, with its harbour, restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

Why Jonathon Coleman chose Nata

Villa Marona is a unique property which combines a luxurious environment, individual contemporary furnishings and an incredible sense of space. The stunning view over the valley is breathtaking and creates a calm environment, a sense of being alone in a busy world and affords guests the privacy that being in a commercial housing estate rental just does not .

What makes this villa unique

The privacy of the villa and the unique quality of the space. The feeling of calm that exists. The elevation of the property over the surrounding valley . This house is for those people who want to experience the extraordinary sense of the 'real' Cyprus and its hills, valleys, ancient winding roads and the traditional village life of Nata.

Gay Nudist Haven ! Perfect Villa for Naked / naturist / gay couples.

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I enjoyed a month in this elegant and totally private retreat - away from hotel crowds and package tourist world yet easy reach . The drive to Governors Beach Limassol , Pissouri , Paphos and Sea Caves is all about twenty minutes away . There you can sunbathe naked and enjoy the freedom of being naturist .

The villa it's self is stunning . Beautifully, elegantly decorated with a high standard of execution and attention to detail . This is a home and it is clear the owner respects and values the elegant location , architecture and space .

As soon as you walk into the central courtyard and lock the main double doors , you are totally private . This freedom allows for a fully private , naturist relaxing holiday . The pool is deep and utterly perfect being non-overlooked and the elegant classical sculptures give an indulgent air to the environment . There are two villas about 100 metres to the house and neither overlooks Villa Marona - we never saw or heard any single person or sounds - both seemed unoccupied . Some country sounds like chickens and dogs were the only noises . Breathtaking views through to contemporary glass and steel and utter silence apart from ciacadas .

The beds are amazingly comfortable , generous and opulent and the linens and towels of excellent quality . Nothing is cheap and nasty here .

The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and huge . Coming back from the beach everyday was a joy . Supermarkets are everywhere and we brought food in with us each day and cooked by the pool.

A totally excellent villa that we would recommend to any gay couple or naturist couple who wants total privacy and freedom .

Owner's Response: I am so pleased that you had a relaxing and private break at Villa Marona. The location is perfect and away from any interruption or disturbance and is ideal for gay couples and naturist couples to enjoy the space and breath taking location. The use of a car is essential but privacy comes at a small price and this also ensures you are not disturbed. Thank you for commenting on the interior design - I have gone to great trouble to ensure the house remains a home, is super stylish and yet is also of top quality throughout. Neutral colours, classical figures, contemporary art , a spa like feeling with white gossamer outdoor drapes moving in the breeze, excellent beds and stylish furnishings, ensures a calm and restful experience. There is bluetooth sound systems and wifi throughout. This is not the house for families with children. I love Villa Marona and it is the perfect private retreat for both discerning couples who wish for total privacy and silence, or music on and having fun - the house is particularly perfect for naturist couples and gay couples who wish for that level of complete privacy.

A gorgeous villa in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Marona is a beautiful villa, hidden away in such a peaceful village with, quite simply, the most stunning views. Well equipped, comfortable and spacious, the villa was the perfect place for our much needed holiday. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated, providing everything we needed for our 2 week stay. A lovely pool with incredible views across the hills, the outside area is private and we enjoyed many evenings eating outside whilst watching the setting sun. Local amenities are a short drive away, but worth it to get the perfect seclusion which this wonderful villa offers. A fantastic holiday in a fabulous villa.

Great holiday again, May 2017

  • 5 of 5

Had a perfect week again at Villa Marona. Weather really good , have decided May is a good time to visit Paphos. Villa was very clean , comfortable , pool good, used the excellent quality gas bar-b-que this time, which was very handy.

Love the area ,easy to drive, had meals at Akis, Spring of Life, Perikiles and at the harbour , all very good, drove to the beach at Coral Bay , thought this was very good , but much prefer to use Nata as a base , really peaceful, and the views as you relax are superb.

Great Villa, Stunning pool

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful Villa , with the best pool we have ever used , extremely clean, private , exactly as described in the advert.

Everything worked perfectly, doors, locks, aircon , fridges, Wi-Fi, showers ...I have stayed in a few villas where there is always a little problem, nothing here.

Location is quiet , we knew that , excellent and just what we wanted. Driving is easy, good directions given to the villa and local tavernas, we particularly enjoyed The Spring of Life

Thank you Jonathon for letting us use your home , and for being so easy and polite to deal with

Magical Marona

  • 5 of 5

This was our fourth stay at Marona, so that tells you we love it. The owner, Jonathan, shares his home with you and it is truly beautiful.

Only 20 minutes from Paphos airport, nestled in hills it has wonderful views of countryside but remains very private.

Exceptionally well equipped, clean and impressive layout, you will want for nothing during your stay. If you do, its a phone call away.

Looking for resturants etc is no problem, check out Jonathons impressive library of info in kitchen. All places we tried were very good, especially liked Periklis Tavern (5 mins) especially Sunday Meze. Great food, great company. Costa's on way to Paphos (20mins) and Gabriels at Kooklia (30mins). The Kolios Winery is well worth a visit for their tour and wine tasting and Meze. Wonderful wine!!!!

Its great to eat out, you will not be disappointed but its great to eat in as well. Barby, or cook and its lovely to sit on terrace and take in the wonderful views.

A car is a must, so easy to get places and on our side of road. Wonderful visit to Troodos Mountains, Pissouri. Paphos, especially harbour area.

Great beaches and sea is so warm. Latchi Beach is good. Coral Bay, quite busy but nice sandy beach.

We would have no hesitation to recommend this wonderful villa.

Look forward to our next visit.

The perfect place!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful holiday home!

A marvellous tastefully furnished little piece of paradise. Enjoy the seclusion and the beautiful views of the surrounding hills. There is no overview which makes the occasional "skinny dip" a must!

Or just sit in the lovely shaded area of the veranda and watch the swallows as they swoop the pool to take a drink.

Just a few minutes drive down the hillside takes you to the lovely village of Anarita with its great little tavernas to while away a dreamy summer evening. To say villa Marona is a gem would be an understatement. With everything you need for the perfect romantic break,We can't wait to go back!

Many thanks Jonathon ( owner)

Owner's Response: Villa Marona is our home in the sun for my wider family and myself. We enjoy renting the house to guests when we are not using it and it is very much our home in Cyprus and therefore not your typical rental propert, hence the art, books, objet d'art etc . The privacy for ourselves and guests is paramount and we love also it's remoteness and yet its proximity to everything. However It's always a relief to walk in through the courtyard and know you are away from the madness. It really is a place to relax , be naturist, do Yoga, or play music. I love the Swallows who drink in our swimming pool every day ,and the large Lizards outside who even have pet names ! We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Kind Regards , Jonathon

Nata Village is an extremely old, rural, inland village. Unlike a lot of Cyprus there is a local, non-english feel with an 'old' calm Cypriot atmosphere with views of the Mediterranean and Troodos Mountains. It is out of the way, quiet and secluded. Far from crowds, tourists, the hotels and coach trips. A haven away from hotels, Paphos and the Tomb of the Kings / Coral Bay , Latchi area where it is very over-crowded and touristy.

A short drive from the coast, above the humidity level, where there is a gentle air flow to keep you cool.

Panoramic views of the spectacular Cypriot landscape stretching down through corn fields and grass to the Xeros river which flows into the reservoir. The landscape is lush green and bright yellow in the spring with abundant wild flowers, and sun scorched and barren in the Summer. Small groups of goats and sheep are herded across the valley from the farm each day by a local shepherd as they have been for centuries.
