Clean and more up-to-date than some

We enjoyed staying in this condo. Our family rented (3) other rooms at Island South and I believe this one was one of the more up-to-date ones. The living room was nice and roomy and the WIFI worked great. One of my favorite parts is the very spacious balcony area. The balcony area is much larger than most condos we have stayed at. Although Island South is a smaller property it was very enjoyable and I never felt like the pool area was packed (and we even stayed the week of the 4th of July).

Parking wasn't ever a problem even during this busy time of year. There is one parking spot with the condo number assigned to it and if you had more than one car there was plenty of guest parking. If you are pulling a boat there is grassy public parking along the small side street at the enterance of the condo. We had no theft issues (very quiet area).

Since this room is on the 2nd floor, the fact that there are steps on the front and the back of the building made it more convenient. We loved the short distance between the pool and the beach. There is a boardwalk to the beach but it isn't as long as other places we have stayed at St. Aug. there is no key entry needed to get on and off the beach which is NICE. Also there are no steps to get on and off the boardwalk, it is just ramps, which makes it very convenient when you have small children.

The only con we noticed as far as condo layout is that you have to go down the steps and back up the steps to other condos in the building (unless your family is directly neighboring you). For example, if you have family on the 3rd floor, not all 3rd floor rooms are connected. You may have to go down the steps and back up the steps in a different section.

Just to be clear, since I read the description wrong, this room has a King size bed in one room (w/ a flat screen tv), (2) twins in the other room (w/ an older style tv), and a fold out bed in the couch in the living room.

Nice property, clean and comfortable

We've been regulars in Saint augustine for the last four years visiting our daughter at Flagler. This time was for graduation. We like island south and found this condo to be perfect for us. Other relatives stayed in the complex as well at another unit we had rented in the past, this one is a little nicer. If you don't know the area, no need to look further, this location is great. On the beach, short drive to downtown, walk to ice cream, and bars.

Salt Life is good and take a drive to Vilano for some good restaurants as well.

"Crave" is a high end permanently parked waterfront food truck selling the best and freshest wraps and salads you will find anywhere (locals rock it) just south of downtown. Worth seeking out for lunch, just don't tell anyone where it is.

Awesome!!!

Awesome, is the only word to describe this condo and the owner, Dana. Great location, great view and very comfortable beds!!! No crowded pool or beach, great restaurants (Obi's and Taco Jacks) within walking distance. Highly recommend this unit to anyone.

Great location, short walk to beach and very close to pool. Condo is within walking distance to a few good restaurants (Mango Mango & Obi's). We also had great meals at (The Conch House and Caps on the Water)!! We loved the smaller complex and not having to wait on elevators. The beach is wider than most and not too crowded. Would definitely recommend.

Great location

This is a great place to stay in St. Augustine. The condo is a convenient short walk to the beach, to the pier, to local shops and a short drive to any of the local destinations... historic St. Augustine, the Alligator Farm, the lighthouse.... Condo was clean and comfortable. The only thing to note is that the mattress on the fold out couch is not a good mattress, but the couch is so large that that can be used for a bed. Would gladly return in the future.
