Another lovely stay at Frog House!
This year we stayed at Frog House having stayed previously at Chattaway. Both properties are delightful and we have always enjoyed our stay here. The cottages are finished to a high standard and have everything you need for a holiday. The cottages are centrally located nearby pubs and restaurants but are lovely and quiet. Beaches are walking distance, parking a stones throw at the Sainsbury's. Thanks Bex and Dave, hope to stay again soon!
fantasic place central for Town well equiped and clean nice welcome pack
Lovely apartment in a central location.
We had a great week in Tenby. The apartment was the perfect base for us. The owners were very helpful.
Just booked just booked our 5th visit for next year. Need I say anymore!!!
Perfect location. Couldn't be anymore central. Absolutely spotless. Owners very helpful
Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your time and we look forward to seeing you again.
Franklyn House is beautifully appointed, with everything - and more - you could possibly need. The location is brilliant - a short walk to restaurants, shops and the beautiful beaches of Tenby. Definitely recommend it to everyone.
We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay. The beaches are always beautiful even if the weather isn't at its best, and there really are many lovely places to eat and drink in Tenby town. If you come again (please do!) do venture further out, Pembrokeshire is full of natural beauties, the Coast Path stretches for miles and we have many wonderful castles and gardens to visit.
The property has been carefully developed for which Beccie and Dave deserve credit but we found the main bed just too uncomfortable as to spoil our stay.
The countryside and especially the coast around Tenby is glorious with some beautiful spots. Of special note are Barrafundle Beach and Nabarth.
Tenby is not short of places to eat but some are very attractive. Mykonos, a Greek restaurant, is one case in point and its drinks were extortionate with a bottle of beer costing £5.90. The same bottle at Barbuccis (Indian) was £4.90. The Salt Cellar serves good food but in sterile surroundings. The Grove (Lolleston, Nr Nabarth) was one of the best meals we have ever had, but at a price which we were prepared to pay, for a truly memorable evening.
Beccie and Dave were most attentive hosts and addressed an issue with the heating very promptly but resolving the bed was understandably beyond their remit!
It is a shame that the bed was uncomfortable on this occasion but on the up side we have had guests asking where the bed was purchased as it provided a great nights sleep, it just goes to show all tastes are different. Unfortunately we can not do anything about the prices that restaurants charge but luckily as pointed Tenby is not short of places to eat at varying ranges cost wise. We do try our best to address issues promptly and are pleased when this is appreciated.
A newly renovated one bedroom maisonette sleeping 2 plus cot, Frog House is located within the historic walled town of Tenby.
There are three fabulous blue flag beaches and boat trips are available from the harbour around the clear waters offering great opportunities to spot dolphins, seals and the other abundant wildlife or take a trip to Caldey Island to see the Cistercian monks and sample the home made chocolate.
Walk out of the front door and you are in the heart of Tenby with great access to shops and restaurants and within 2 minutes walk to any one of the beaches.
Walk along Tenby's South Beach toward Giltar Point and join the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path for fantastic views of Caldey Island and discover some of Pembrokeshire’s many hidden coves. Walk the narrow cobbled streets of the old town lined with elegant Georgian properties or sit in one of the many cafes which offer alfresco dinning during peak season and people-watch visitors to the many gift shops, restaurants and public houses.
Frog House is also perfectly located for offering easy access to Pembrokeshire’s many visitors’ attractions such as Tenby golf courses, Oakwood and Heatherton theme parks, Anna’s Welsh Zoo and many more, or visit one of Pembrokeshire’s castles, Pembroke, Manorbier and Carew castles are all within a 15 min drive.
Tenby can also offer plenty to do for the more active holidaymakers with yachting, sea kayaking, windsurfing, and surfing and for the more extreme sporting enthusiasts’ coasteering (jumping off the cliffs into the clear blue seas!).
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing escape or an active fun filled holiday, Tenby can offer it all and Wood Shop House is the perfect base.
