A wonderful modern spacious townhouse in the beautiful Shearwater development, this is one of only three townhouses that were built. It is spacious with lots of storage and beautiful Irish art. The kitchen cum dining room is comfortable, ideal for relaxing and enjoying.
The ideal location as you can walk everywhere easily and in just a short distance!

I live most of the time in Dublin or France, I travel a lot for my work, the house was purchased for family holidays and a home from home in Ireland. I love the sea, cooking and the village life of Kinsale with it's great walks, restaurants, pubs and activities.

This property was chosen because of its size - the large bedrooms allowed the kids to have multiple friends stay over on sofa beds etc. and also to have their own entertainment in their rooms with Tv, playstations etc. Also the house is modern so large bright airy rooms. The location was also a major factor, I wanted something close to the village which allowed teenagers to go out and come back safely with no driving required, closing to the yacht club and pier fr sailing activites, shops so that I could wander and have coffee whenever I felt like, close to great walks restaurants etc. So it is the perfect house and location for my family of four children and multiple friends, relatives etc.
The unique benefits of this property is really the location - it is perfect for all family and friend members to be independent and do what they wish - bookshops, historic walks and tours, sailing etc. - all the benefits of Kinsale. Also lots of storage as we traveled with what felt like a sports shop - between sailing, tennis, swimming, golf clubs etc. We needed the space. Also the two washing machines are great for all those who have kids in sailing courses as the constant changing etc. meant I couldn't survive with just one!
Loved our stay in Kinsale, the townhouse is ideally laid out over three levels with an very sociable layout in the open-plan living/diner. Bedrooms are a great size with lots of storage, and beds are super-comfy! This contemporary Townhouse has everything you need to make your stay great. Very easy to find, free parking right outside and only minutes to the centre of Kinsale and all it has to offer - absolutely ideal in every way, we were delighted - what's not to love!!
Booked this property 3 months in advance for a wedding over Christmas.
Owner Cancelled 4 days prior to departure and then took 2 weeks and lots of emails before refunding the money. Heard this has happened before!
The property was perfect for our family. We had grandparents, parents, a baby and single adults and this house suited everyone's needs. It was clean and well appointed, with sheets and towels provided. The living room being situated on the main floor away from the bedrooms gave everyone the ability to socialize or have quiet time at their leisure. The beds were comfortable and both bathrooms were functioning. The owner/manager was reachable by phone. The house is smack dab in downtown Kinsale, so everything is walking distance. Fort Charles is a quick drive, Blarney was a 45 min drive, Cork a 30 minute drive. Everyone was friendly and I would recommend both the house and Kinsale for future travels.
Our only confusion was how to work certain aspects of the house or what the expectations were of the owner. We had been told there would be a packet of information but it was not there on arrival. Much of this confusion was due to differences in culture, we (Americans) were not used to searching for a switch for the water heater. We also were not sure what to do with the trash or if recycling was saved or not. This did not detract from our experience but it would have made things go smoother.
In short, go visit Kinsale and stay at this lovely town home.
This is a really nice townhouse located within walking distance to the city centre of Kinsale. It's also conveniently located across the street from The White Lady restaurant/pub. The house is very spacious with 3 levels - a nice sitting area, and 4 large bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms located on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Lots of stairs so you'll get your exercise! There are hardwood floors throughout and lots of closet space in the bedrooms. Nice large kitchen which is fully stocked and a washer/dryer on the 2nd floor. The house also has free Wi-Fi which is a bonus! A designated parking spot is right in front which was nice for unloading heavy suitcases. Maria, the owner, answered all of my questions promptly and was lovely to work with. I fell in love with Kinsale and would definitely stay here again!

In the 17th and 18th centuries Kinsale was an important English naval base, and it still has a distinct Georgian flavour. With its yacht-filled harbour, brightly painted cottages, bow-windowed houses and displays of flowers in pots, tub and hanging baskets, it marks the beginning of scenic West Cork.
Kinsale is famous for many activities the main ones being water activities - sailing, restaurants, pubs and shops. It has great walks - whether a stroll or visiting historic sites. It is in driving distance to many local historic sites such as the famine graves.
Kinsale is internationally recognized as the gourmet capital if Ireland, with a large selection of pubs and restaurants to cater for all tastes. There is always a traditional welcome and a selection of entertainment by day and by night.
However relaxed or active you wish to be on your holiday Kinsale allows you to take things at your own pace.

10 minutes from the world famous 'OLD HEAD' Golf course , there are also others nearby (Fota Island, Cork Golf Club etc.)
