About the property

4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, amid farmland, with hot-tub

Castle View is set in open farmland and next to a working farm, along a well worn track, yet just 300 metres from a fast country lane. Listen carefully and you may hear distant cattle, sheep and geese, but otherwise the tranquility and beauty of the surrounding countryside is breath-taking. The front of the cottage is south facing and gets the sun till late. Because the roof is low, the rear garden enjoys the sun until it sets. The facilities inside the cottage are exceptional with a double-sided log fire, a dining table that easily seats up to 12 (probably 14 at a push), an air-conditioned lounge that seats 12 and a mezzanine snug for up to 4 people. There are smart, flatscreen TVs in every room, high-speed internet and almost the entire ground-floor is open plan with a beautiful, fully equipped kitchen including a wine cooler and ice-maker, a range cooker, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. Wide patio doors lead from the dining area onto the first patio with a second cosy bistro-patio adjacent to the fish pond and a further 2 communal patio areas, beneath the pergola and outside the hot-tub area. The picturesque garden shed is soon to conceal a quirky indoor bar, just in case it rains. There's parking for 4 cars (more by arrangement and at a small cost) Castle View is so easily accessible. If you turn south you are only 12 minutes walk to the local village with it's oak-beamed pubs and prize-winning chippy yet astonishingly if you turn north-west, within 15 minutes drive you'll find yourself in the centre of Liverpool, which has to be a contender for the most beautiful city outside of London. Castle View is not just special, it's amazing!

About The Owner

I was born and bred in Liverpool and feel very lucky to find such a haven of tranquility just 17 minutes drive from the City Centre. Even now I live only 6 minutes drive away from the cottage but stay weekends every time the bookings permit. It really is the most stunning of cottages in a location of outstanding beauty. To be able to share the hot-tub, sipping champagne with family or friends regardless of the weather is a terrific experience, not to be missed. I'm sure it has its own micro-climate, certainly the sun seems to shine more often here and when it does the surrounding gardens get the sun all day long. I love to use the cottage when I have a lot of paperwork to do, nobody to disturb me, in the summer I have the air conditioning to make it really comfortable, and during the winter I have the log burner roaring. Sometimes I look forward to the work!

Why The Owner chose Prescot

I bought this property because of its location.....Historic Cronton with its, almost unique, 5-hole stocks, surrounded by Greenbelt which stops any new building. It is unchanged in years, peaceful, tranquil, affluent. Lovely people, lovely property. with Pex Hill Observatory about a mile away, where lies a cross that commemorates the murder of Peg Pussey

I fell in love with this property because of its location which is breathtaking and everybody who visits wants to buy it.....It's not for sale. It's so rare to come across a property with everything. The property itself was attractive but I noticed its potential. Now Castle View is stunning and has been rated as 5-star and offers a 5-star experience. The property also has a top eco-friendly rating.

OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!

Want to experience the life of a celebrity for a few days this is the place. Where to begin. The place is massive, open planned. Flat screen tv in EVER room, complete with Net Flix (bonus) it’s modern and has everything you could need coffee machines to electric ice cube makers, to wine coolers. The garden lovely with a big seating area for entertaing complete with a hot tub. Real 5* experience. The owner was lovely. She showed us round the place and how to work all the gadgets. Thou the fancy ager oven was wasted on us. We just need to know where the microwave was haha she even left us bread milk and biscuits. Couldnt have asked for a better stay. Thanks for having us :D

And it has a hot tub...

This is a well appointed, well presented property in a quiet location. The hot tub plus all the little extras are a nice touch and help make the property standout. It was ideal for the two days I stayed with my family. Very kind property host. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property for anyone looking for something nice not in the centre of Liverpool.
