Enjoy this private suite located in Kona Coffee Country, This owner purchased 1980s era closed coffee plantation mill a few years ago and the turned the property into a nice gated estate. Everything inside is up to modern standards like new tile floors, new cabinets, new dishwasher, New King Bed New bathroom fixtures, 50 inch Samsung 4K big screen smart TV that you can stream video via our high speed internet. We just added the local cable TV channels.

Nice Ocean view from Lanai. This living area is private, peaceful and not shared with with any other living area. The owners home is nearby.

What: Art enclave in the heart of Kona coffee country

Where: On the slopes above Historic Kailua Village (Kailua-Kona) and Keauhou. Just 8.5 miles from Kona. The Active Lava flows are on the opposite side of the Island, we would recommend a Helicopter tour for the best views of the activity.

Java is the juice that powers Holualoa, the little village and art enclave in the heart of Kona coffee country. This is a great place to taste the rich flavors of 100% pure Kona coffee, a rare commodity exclusively grown in north and south Kona. Visit some of the great coffee mills abd sample their coffee like Blue Sky Coffee company.

The Hawaii Tourism Authority notes the impact is limited to a remote region on the east side of the island.. The closest resort areas, in Kona and the Kohala Coast on the island’s west side, are more than 100 miles away from the lava flow. Those tourist areas are shielded by the massive mountains of Maunakea and Maunaloa, the tourism authority said.

Upcountry in the Kona coffee area, it was quiet, clean, spacious, and even had a washer & dryer. Was just perfect. And the price can't be beat. The bed was just heavenly, too. Will definitely come again.

Coffee Farm Private Room with Great Ocean-View Lanai

I spent a month at this property during March 2018. While only about a 15-minute drive from Kailua-Kona, this room is at about 2100 feet and usually 5 to 10 degrees cooler than the shoreline. This unit is behind a seldom-used shop and separate from the Main house and other rental unit about 50 yards away. The best part of this unit is the very comfortable King-sized bed. The internet connection was reliable and very fast. Instead of a full-kitchen, there is an excellent induction-style hot plate and a mini-fridge/freezer. If you are new to the Big Island, note that Coqui Frogs are most everywhere and do make lots of noise at night. I solved that problem by downloading the App "White Noise Lite" to my computer and playing the sound of a heavy rainstorm on my computer all night long. That noise was steady and relaxing and cancelled out the frog noise. This room is sufficient for most needs of 1-2 people and very affordable compared to hotels or resorts in the area. The owners are friendly and nice people.

Great private, modern spacious and clean studio off the beaten path

This studio is so new, neat and clean. It met all our needs. It is a bit outside of town but is manageable if you are the type that plans ahead or leaves in the morning and doesn’t need to stop back often. A steep climb up the mountain (use low gear) but not a big deal. It is not fancy from the outside (yes, it’s a tin building!) but you don’t know it once inside. Completely finished off and well-insulated. We did not hear the rain at all. But keep in mind the tin may interfere with cellular service. Lastly, at time of this posting the place must have been very left-behinds, like even salt and pepper. (But it did have beach towels, cooler, grill, dishwashing liquid.) There is also a plug-in burner to fry or cook on, even though the photo doesn’t show it. Would definitely stay again!

Very cute place for 2 people, owners very nice & helpful, has all the comforts of home, only draw back is cell service isn't very good in the metal building. loved the atmosphere & the view, its a drive up the hill but quiet, would definitely stay again!

great place away from the tourist

This was a great places for us. We just needed a place to sleep and wash-up. It was clean. Safe no worries parking. NO loud, drunken tourist anywhere. The wife did name the local rooster who posed for pics. Would do it again.
