Well appointed property in good location

All contact made with José Maria and Ferdinand during the booking process were responded to promptly and were very helpful. On arrival at the property we were welcomed by José Maria and Ferdinand who were very thorough in explaining to us how everything worked in the apartment, including access to the private garage, the large screen TV, the audio system and all the other great amenities. The apartment is on the first floor of a small, modern building with only 2 units on each floor. There is an elevator from the garage level to each floor if needed. The building is in excellent condition, very secure and electrically operated roll-away shutters on all doors and windows in the unit gave an added sense of security. The furnishings are all of high quality, an extremely comfortable bed in the master bedroom and numerous electrical outlets throughout the unit. The kitchen, at the rear of the unit, is well equipped with up-to-date appliances, including a washing machine, dish washer and refrigerator/freezer. We were able to easily come and go as we pleased during our 10 day stay, and did not hear or encounter any other occupants of the building......apart from some slight traffic noise it was very quiet in the unit. The walk into Cascais is an easy 10 minutes (downhill) with some interesting sites on the way if you take some of the side streets. Cascais itself is a very clean, relaxing town with many great restaurants and delightful walks along the well maintained ocean-front. Additionally, it's a very easy (and inexpensive) train ride to Lisbon, with trains running every 20 minutes. The other must-see site close-by is Sintra, only a 15 minute drive, but due to its worldwide popularity, traffic and parking could be a problem in the peak tourist season. Overall, we would highly recommend Cascais and this property. Well worth the 5***** rating.

A great stay - all perfect!

My wife and I, and our three children, recently returned from a week in Cascais (which is beautiful). The apartment had everything we needed. It certainly met our expectations. We also had the pleasure of meeting Fernando and his wife, Maria José.

Cascais is a beautiful place with great restaurants and very friendly people. Staying at the apartment made it possible to enjoy Cascais from a convenient location. The apartment itself is situated about 10-12 minutes walk from the centre. This, in my view, is a nice and very manageable distance and our children enjoyed the walk.

There is very little that needs to be said about the apartment. As previous commentators have remarked, it has everything that one could need. I really have no suggestions for improvement.

If you are going to Cascais, enjoy the food, the warmth of the people and the convenience and facilities of the apartment.

We look forward to having the opportunity to return again.

Perfect luxury apartment - no car needed

We returned last week after spending two weeks in Cascais in this lovely apartment. The apartment was perfect for us - modern, luxurious, spotlessly clean, well maintained and stocked with everything you would need during your stay. The temperature was 38 degrees when we first arrived so we were so happy to have such efficient air-con in the bedroom and lounge.

The apartment is ideally situated for walking into Cascais, where you will find excellent restaurants, beaches, bars and a fabulous market. You do not need a car as there is a train station 10 mins walk away and we caught the bus to Sintra across the road. Whilst we enjoyed the centre of Cascais and hiring bikes to ride to Guincho beach, it was also lovely to visit the local fish restaurant (Vela Azul) 2 mins from the apartment and the friendly bar across the road where you can really mix with the locals.

Maria Jose and Fernando are genuine and lovely people. They gave us a such a warm welcome and we will definitely return to stay in their perfect luxury apartment.

Charming apartment located in the center of Cascais, in quiet residential area. The 8-minute walk from the historic center of Cascais and all kinds of services and shops: typical Portuguese restaurants with good fish, supermarkets, bakeries, banks, Marina of Cascais with all its bars and pubs and restaurants, museums, parks, churches, beaches, the train station to Lisbon. Close to beaches, a few minutes walk from the train station, with good links to Estoril (5 minutes), Carcavelos (15 minutes), Lisbon (30 minutes), and a regular bus service to Sintra. Bus point to Sintra and Guincho beaches in front of the house.

The Cascais Marina is a reference point with good restaurants and bars.
