Perfect villa in great location
Absolutely delighted with our week in this lovely seafront villa. Eleni is the perfect host and the location is stunning. I give it 100%!
Lovely place, fabulous host.
Lovely, clean, well equipped villa with a beautiful pool in a quiet location. As described, the villa is about 30 yards away from the sea which can be heard from the garden. Eleni is a kind and thoughtful host - we arrived to a kitchen stocked with all the basics and more - bread, butter, milk, coffee, juice, biscuits, salt, etc., and homemade cake, olive oil, wine and raki. She brought toys for our two boys (aged 4 and 5) to play with, offered advice about places to visit and called daily to check that everything was okay. There are three tavernas and the campsite shop within walking distance and Kissamos is about a five minute drive away with supermarkets, shops and restaurants. The sea at the local beach was a little too wavey for our small boys most days due to the lovely strong breeze, but Falasarna beach which was more sheltered is only a 25 minute drive away. We had a brilliant holiday (2 weeks in August) rounded off by Eleni sending us off with farewell gifts including two mugs for the boys having given us an extra hour to check out.
Thank you very much!!!
A lovely Villa and great location for our needs.
The Villa was spacious and clean. Kitchen well equipped. Comfortable bed.. Lovely pool and out door area. Rural location although by the sea. Owner very attentive.
We went slightly out of season, 7-21st April 2019, so local amenities as in the few bars and the shop in the camp site weren't open although lots of preparation was going on. A taxi to the nearest town, Kissamos was only 8 euros. We also went for the walking and the location was perfect.
I want to thank you for your stay in our villa. I am glad that you liked it and I hope to see you again!
Lovely villa with great pool and BBQ and the beach is just across the road. Eleni is a great host and left us cake and Raki - and came to the villa every day to make sure we were all OK. Great location for a family or 6 friends. Fully recommend the villa
Thank you very much for your kind words. It was pleasure for us to meet all your family. We wish you all the best to all of you and we hope to see you again.
Nice villa with a personal touch
We had a really nice stay at Villa Liakada. The owner, Eleni, was very nice and helpful. Our fridge was already full of nice and fresh food upon on arrival. She stop by every day to make sure everything was ok and we didn't need anything else. We enjoyed so much the pool, the dinner table outside, the beach nearby, the sound of the waves, the fact that this place is quiet and outside the tourist area. The rooms are spacious and confortables. It's a nice place to stay if you want to discover the west coast of Crete and have your own pool!
Thanks Eleni for a wonderful stay and a lot of memories for our family!
Thank you very much for your nice comments. It was pleasure for us to meet you and host you at our villa. We wish you all the best and we hope to see you again.
FOUR STARS WITH A CHERRY ON THE CAKE
We spent two wonderful weeks in Villa Liakada. The house was just perfect in a quiet and peaceful environment. This is what we were looking for and we really “recharged our batteries”. No car needed to join the nearby blue and warm sea, it is just in front of the house and having breakfast with the music of the waves was just a must. Cherry on the cake: Eleni is the perfect hostess. She was very attentive and offered us home-made cake, olive oil, raki and everything in the fridge to start our stay. Eυχαριστώ πολύ
Thank you very much for choosing our villa for your vacations. I am glad that you had good stay and enjoyed your holidays here. It was a pleasure to meet you all and be your host. I wish you all the best and I hope to see you again!
Drapanias is a small village in north-western Crete. It was built in the ruins of the ancient town of Mythimna.
Drapanias can be accessed via the main road to Kissamos. The small traditional village has 3 traditional Greek taverns which serve Greek food and are more than happy to play a game of tavli with you. The village has two bakeries in which you can find home made pastries, bread and cakes and there is also one small shop, selling basic products. A large church is at the heart of Drapanias, situated in the square. The church holds regular services on Sundays and is the soul of many of the locals. Frequent KTEL buses connect the village with various locations, such as Kissamos and Chania.
The west coast of Crete includes some of the most famous sights such as Elafonisi, Falasarna and Balos on Cape Gramvousa, which you all can easily reach from Drapanias by car or boat. Also exist a bus service from Drapanias Beach to the famous gorge of Samaria. Furthermore, there are three smaller gorges nearby of our location: The gorge of Roka, which is in our direct neighbourhood, the gorge of Delanion and Sirikari gorge, which leads you to wellknown ancient Polirinia. Not far away on a wonderful road to Elafonisi you will find also the breathtaking cave of Santa Sofia.
